Abstract

La invención se refiere a un suplemento alimenticio que comprende o que consiste en Archaebacteria, y particularmente Archaebacteria metanogénica, para ser usado como adyuvante probiótico para alimentación animal. El suplemento puede proporcionarse, por ejemplo, a animales de granja, además de pienso estándar o como composición alimenticia. Este suplemento es particularmente útil en la acuicultura y es capaz de aumentar las velocidades de crecimiento de los animales, reduciendo la susceptibilidad animal a las infecciones parasitarias y/o mejorando el impacto de los residuos fecales de los animales en el medio ambiente. También se incluyen en la presente invención métodos de fabricación de una composición que comprende el suplemento alimenticio bioactivo así como sus usos.
