Abstract

Un sistema adaptativo de gestión de inventario para uso en instalaciones para manejo de materiales en las que se almacenan varios artículos, cada uno de los cuales está asociado con una etiqueta de Identificación por Radiofrecuencia (RFID). El sistema de gestión que incluye un subsistema de base de datos de inventario global y un subsistema de interrogación RFID que incluye varios interrogadores RFID, cada uno de los cuales es configurado para leer el identificador único de la etiqueta RFID asociada con cada uno de los varios artículos que se encuentran dentro de una frontera definida de al menos una zona de escaneo generada por el respectivo interrogador RFID y comunicar el identificador único de cada etiqueta RFID escaneada dentro de cada zona de escaneo del respectivo interrogador RFID al subsistema de base de datos de inventario global.
