Abstract

Se enseña un gel tixotrópico adhesivo basado en agua, que consiste esencialmente en agua, alcohol polivinílico parcialmente hidrolizada, o en el cual una porción del alcohol polivinílico se reemplaza por polivinilpirrolidona, un agente polimérico espesante de alta viscosidad soluble en agua, que sea compatible con el alcohol polivinílico, y que importa propiedades tixotrópicas al gel, un plastificador soluble en agua en proporciones de ingredientes tales que la viscosidad del adhesivo se destruirá cuando un dispensador de tubo flexible o de botella aplastable se presiona con los dedos y tiene una viscosidad suficientemente baja para permitir la fácil extrusión desde un orificio que tiene un diámetro de cerca de 0.1524 a 0.381 cm (0.06 a 0.15) pulgadas). Cuando la presión se libera, después de que la cantidad deseada de adhesivo ha fluído fuera del dispensador, el adhesivo revierte rápidamente a un estado muy próximo al estado original del gel, de modo que no se correrá sobre una superficie porosa o semi-porosa vertical, tal como papel.Se proveé también un artículo de manufactura en el cual el gel adhesivo que contiene los ingredientes anteriores, está en un dispensador flexible desde el cual puede dispensarse el adhesivo por presión de los dedos.
