Abstract

Multilobal, optionally preoriented, multilobal filaments with a filament count 04X </= 4 dtex, based on polyamide, exhibiting pronounced lobes; the invention also relates to a process for spinning such yarns at a temperature of between 270 and 290 DEG C followed by cooling of the filaments with the aid of a cooling medium the beginning of which is placed at a distance of 70 to 40 mm from the die and winding the filaments. The winding speed is 04X >/= 3500 m/min, preferably 04X >/= 4000 m/min. The invention also relates to textured multifilament yarns with a filament count 04X >/= 3 dtex exhibiting pronounced lobes. It relates finally to woven, knitted textile articles employing the textured yarns, more particularly textile articles for women's hosiery applications. <IMAGE>
