Abstract
Se utiliza una estructura sintetica para proveer simultáneamente alimento, resguardado y soporte reproductor para muchas especies acuáticas. Se puede producir hierba marina sintética en la forma de esteras flexibles con una pluralidad de tiras. Los extremos inferiores de las tiras están anclados en el bentos. Los otros extremos de las tiras están soportados flotando en la zona fótica. Se puede producir las tiras económocamente en capas coextensivas plurales, proveyendo una capa de flotación y estando estructurada la otra capa para realzar de crecimiento biológico. El sistema puede ser hecho a medida para uso en las aplicaciones deseadas seleccionando la estructura de la superficie, es especialmente y la densidad de las tiras y demás parametros. Se puede utilizar el sistema para remover nutrientes y/o materiales tóxicos del agua. Se puede utilizar la invención para promover simultáneamente reacciones aeróbicas para controlar la calidad del agua.
