  • This invention relates to a bottle carrier of the so-called top gripping variety which includes cushioning means provided between the packaged bottles and to a blank for forming the carrier.
  • U.S. Patent No. 3,528,697 discloses a top gripping carrier which has a side wall extension panel which engages shoulder portions of the bottles.
  • Swiss Patent No. 450,268 discloses a top gripping bottle carrier which includes separator panels depending from the bottom wall of the carrier which provide glass to glass separation between adjacent bottles. While such separator panels do give adequate protection to the bottles, a large amount of material is used. Also, the separator panels initially are independent of the main body of the carrier so that it is necessary to secure these parts together during fabrication of the carrier. Furthermore the positioning of the separator panels is such that they can impede application of the carrier to the bottles unless the carrier and bottles accurately are aligned.

Claims (9)

1. Porte-bouteilles comprenant une paroi de base (1) présentant plusieurs ouvertures (3, 4) réceptrices de goulot, une paire de parois latérales (5, 8-6, 9) réunies, le long de leurs bords inférieurs respectifs, aux bords latéraux de la paroi de base, plusieurs ouvertures réceptrices de sommet (11 à 13) formées dans les parties supérieures des parois latérales et disposées dans l'alignement des ouvertures respectives réceptrices de goulot, un panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41) réuni avec possibilité de pliage à l'une des parois latérales (5, 8) et se dirigeant généralement vers le bas en partant de celle-ci, porte-bouteilles caractérisé par le fait qu'il comporte au moins un panneau d'amortissement (43) réuni avec possibilité de pliage au panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41) mais libre par rapport à la paroi de base (1), de sorte que ce panneau d'amortissement peut être plié, d'une première position dans laquelle il est situé dans le plan du panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41), à une deuxième position dans laquelle il est placé normalement au plan du panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41) aussi bien que de la paroi de base.
2. Porte-bouteilles selon la revendication 1, caractérisé par le fait que le panneau d'amortissement (43) est réuni avec possibilité de pliage au panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41) le long d'une ligne de pliage (44) disposée pratiquement perpendiculairement à la jonction par ligne de pliage (42) entre le panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale et la première paroi latérale mentionnée.
3. Porte-bouteilles selon l'une ou l'autre des revendications 1 ou 2, caractérisé par le fait qu'au moins une paroi latérale (5, 8) est forme d'un panneau intérieur (5) et d'un panneau extérieur (8) fixés entre eux en contact face à face.
4. Porte-bouteilles selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé par le fait qu'une ligne médiane de pliage (2) est formée dans la paroi de base (1).
5. Porte-bouteilles selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé par le fait qu'une paire d'ouvertures de prise manuelle (31, 35-30, 36) est formée respectivement dans les deux parois latérales.
6. Découpe de porte-bouteilles comprenant une paroi de base (1), des parois latérales intérieures (5, 6) réunies avec possibilité de pliage à un bord latéral de la paroi de base, des parois latérales extérieures (8, 9) réunies avec possibilité de pliage au bord latéral opposé de la paroi de base, caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comporte un panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41), réuni avec possibilité de pliage à la paroi latérale extérieure (8) à l'opposé de la paroi de base, et un panneau d'amortissement (43), réuni avec possibilité de pliage au panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale, mais libre par rapport à la paroi de base.
7. Découpe de porte-bouteilles selon la revendication 6, caractérisée par le fait que le panneau d'amortissement (43) est réuni au panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41 ) le long d'une ligne de pliage (44) disposée généralement perpendiculairement à la ligne de pliage (42) entre le panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale et la paroi latérale extérieure (8).
8. Découpe de porte-bouteilles selon l'une ou l'autre des revendications 6 ou 7, caractérisée par le fait que la longueur du panneau d'amortissement (43) est approximativement la moitié de la longueur du panneau de prolongement de paroi latérale (41).
9. Découpe de porte=bouteilles selon l'une quelconque des revendications 6 à 8, caractérisée par le fait qu'une ligne médiane de pliage (2) est formée dans la paroi de base.
