Claims (9)

1. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer schwellbaren Dichtung, umfassend: Bereithalten eines rohrförmigen Halters (1) mit einer Längsbohrung oder internen Kammer (3), die durch einen an eine relativ dünne Wand (5) des Halters angrenzenden verdickten, sich längs erstrekkenden Abschnitt (6) des Halters definiert ist; Füllen der Bohrung des Halters mit festem, schwellbarem Material (20); und hierauf Entfernen eines sich längs erstreckenden Teils des verdickten Abschnittes (6), wobei der verdickte Abschnitt teilweise als Abdeckung (10) verbleibt, so dass der durch den entfernten Teil gebildete Raum eine Nut (11) mit einer sich längs erstreckenden Oeffnung (12) nach ausserhalb des halters und einer sich längs erstreckenden Oeffnung (13) gegen die Bohrung oder Kammer des Halters bildet, und wobei die Abdeckung so angeordnet ist, dass sie den Zugang einer durch die erstgenannte Oeffnung eingeführten Sonde zur Bohrung oder Kammer des Halters verwehrt.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, in welchem die Abdeckung (10) zwischen der Nut (11) und der Längsbohrung oder internen Kammer (3) des Halters angeordnet ist.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, in welchem die Bohrung des Halters mit schwellbarem Material gefüllt wird, indem zunächst die Bohrung mit einem Schlamm oder einer Paste einer Mischung gefüllt wird, die anschliessend zum schwellbaren Material (20) aushärtet.
4. Verfahren nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, in welchem das Entfernen des genannten Teils des verdickten Abschnittes zwei Stege (9, 10) zurücklässt, von denen einer die Abdeckung (10) bildet.
5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, in welchem der andere Steg (9) auf der Aussenseite des Halters ist.
6. Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, in welchem der verdickte Abschnitt (6) an einer Kante des Halters ist.
7. Verfarhren nach Anspruch 6, in welchem der verdickte Abschnitt (6) quadratischen oder rechteckigen Querschnitt aufweist.
8. Verfahren nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, in welchem das Entfernen des genannten Teils des verdickten Abschnittes (6) durch ein Schneidwerkzeug erfolgt.
9. Verfahren nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, in welchem das Entfernen des genannten Teils des verdickten Abschnittes die Oeffnung (13) zwischen der Nut (11) und der Bohrung (3) des Halters zwischen einem freien Rand des relativ dünnen Wandteils . (5) und einem freien Rand der Abdeckung (10) bildet.
