- the rough regulation of the atomizer output is usually achieved by using several identical or different pressure nozzles. This principle is used for example in motor vehicle carburettors. Fine adjustment is possible in only very limited areas by varying the atomizing pressures. Conventional mechanical atomizers do not allow regulation of the droplet transport speed. In the case of electromechanical atomizers, fine adjustments can be made by changing the excitation voltage and clocking the excitation, but the required control conditions are not possible.
