Description

  • L'invention concerne un emballage en une matièresemi-rigide telle que le carton ondulé, pour le conditionnement d'un lot d'objets à axe de révolution, par exemple de bouteilles ou de boîtes cylindriques.
  • L'invention vise plus particulièrement à faciliter la manutention d'emballages pour bouteilles ou similaires, du type comprenant un fond, par exemple de forme générale rectangulaire, des parois latérales perpendiculaires à ce fond, une partie supérieure parallèle au fond et, éventuellement, des parties inclinées réunissant cette partie supérieure aux parois latérales, l'une au moins des parois latérales étant solidaire de parties arrondies épousant sensiblement la forme des objets conditionnés et attenantes aux parois contiguës, une poignée étant découpée dans cette paroi dans une direction sensiblement perpendiculaire auxdits objets, comme décrit dans FR-A No 2196630.
  • Il est en effet usuel de conditionner dans de tels emballages des lots de 6, 12 ou 24 bouteilles de bière, jus de fruits, boissons gazeuses ou autres boissons, des découpes étant généralement prévues dans l'emballage, pour laisser apparaître les bouteilles ou pour recevoir le col de celles-ci. De tels emballages sont aussi utilisés pour conditionner des boîtes métalliques cylindriques contenant des boissons, des produits alimentaires ou, plus généralement, tout produit susceptible d'être conditionné dans de telles boîtes.
  • Le principal problème posé par ces emballages réside dans leur manutention par l'acheteur car, lorsque les bouteilles ou les boîtes sont pleines, les conditionnements peuvent atteindre un poids élevé, peu compatible avec la faible rigidité du carton utilisé. Pour pouvoir supporter la charge et répartir celle-ci également sur le fond, tout en enserrant fermement les objets conditionnés, on prévoit donc généralement, dans la partie supérieure de l'emballage, un élément découpé formant poignée de préhension, ou deux découpes dans lesquelles l'utilisateur peut introduire deux doigts d'une main pour soulever le conditionnement.
  • Lorsque les objets conditionnés sont nombreux et ont un poids important, de tels moyens de préhension se révèlent précaires, compte tenu de la faible résistance du matériau constitutif de l'emballage.
  • Le brevet US-A ? 3101886 a certes proposé un conditionnement dans lequel une poignée est renforcée par un ruban contrecollé contre cette poignée et contre les parois attenantes. Cette poignée ne se prolonge cependant pas par des parties épousant la forme d'objets arrondis et, si l'on se réfère aux dessins dudit brevet, la poignée ne semble pas perpendiculaire, mais parallèle à l'axe des objets conditionnés.
  • L'invention vise à remédier aux inconvénients mentionnés ci-dessus en proposant un emballage équipé d'un moyen de préhension tel que le poids de la charge se répartisse sur trois parois latérales contiguës, en tendant en outre à rapprocher les uns des autres les objets conditionnés.
  • A cet effet, l'invention a pour objet un emballage en une matière semi-rigide telle que le carton, pour le conditionnement d'un lot d'objets à axe de révolution, cet emballage comportant un fond, des parois latérales perpendiculaires au fond, une partie supérieure parallèle au fond et éventuellement des parties inclinées réunissant cette partie supérieure aux parois latérales, l'une au moins des parois latérales étant solidaire de parties arrondies épousant sensiblement la forme des objets conditionnés et attenantes aux parois contiguës, une poignée étant découpée dans cette paroi, cet emballage étant caractérisé en ce que ladite poignée est découpée dans une direction sensiblement perpendiculaire aux axes desdits objets et que, sur ladite poignée, est contrecollée une bande de renfort dont les extrémités sont également collées sur les parties adjacentes de ladite paroi et une portion au moins de la partie arrondie réunissant cette paroi aux parois contiguës.
  • De préférence, les extrémités de la bande de renfort s'étendront au-delà des parties arrondies et seront également collées contre les parois contiguës.
  • La poignée et sa bande de renfort forment ainsi un organe de préhension, que peut saisir et maintenir l'acheteur, dont l'effort, égal au poids du conditionnement, ne s'exerce pas seulement sur la paroi équipée de ladite poignée, mais, par l'intermédiaire de la bande de renfort, sur les parties arrondies et, par conséquent, sur les deux parois adjacentes. Le poids de la charge est ainsi réparti sur trois parois contiguës, tandis que l'organe de préhension est lui-même doublé par la bande de renfort, de sorte que l'emballage plein peut être manipulé de façon beaucoup plus sûre que dans la technique antérieure.
  • On notera, en outre, que, du fait que l'effort de préhension est transmis par les parties arrondies aux parois contiguës, cet effort tend à rapprocher l'une de l'autre ces parois et, par conséquent, à rapprocher également les objets conditionnés contre lesquels s'appuient ces parois. Le lot d'objets conditionnés forme ainsi avec l'emballage, en cours de manutention, un ensemble compact et rigide, facile à déplacer, qui né risque pas de se disloquer sous l'effort qu'il supporte.
  • Il est clair que le perfectionnement conforme à l'invention est indépendant du type même de l'emballage. A la limite, il n'est même pas nécessaire que les parois contiguës à la paroi dans laquelle est ménagée la poignée soient parallèles entre elles. Les dessins annexés, qui illustrent deux formes de mise en oeuvre de l'invention, n'ont donc, à l'évidence, aucun caractère limitatif.
  • Sur ces dessins:

    • la fig. 4 est une coupe, analogue à la fig. 2, d'une variante de cet emballage.
  • Celui-ci comprend un fond 1, de forme générale rectangulaire, mais arrondi dans les angles, deux parois longitudinales, dont l'une, 2, est attenante au fond, tandis que l'autre, 3, est collée contre un panneau 3", également attenant au fond 1. Les parois 2 et 3 sont réunies par des parties inclinées, respectivement 4 et 5, à une partie supérieure 6, parallèle au fond 1 et qui prend appui sur l'extrémité supérieure (capsule de bouchage) des bouteilles 7 conditionnées dans l'emballage, dont le col dépasse par des découpes 8 des parties inclinées 4 et 5.
  • Les parois transversales de l'emballage sont constituées d'un volet inférieur 9, attenant au fond 1, et d'un volet supérieur 10, collé contre la face interne du volet 9 et réuni par une partie inclinée 11 à la face supérieure 6 de l'emballage. Des amorces de découpe 17 sont prévues à la partie supérieure de l'emballage pour l'ouvrir facilement.
  • Conformément à l'invention, les parois latérales 2 et 3 se prolongent à chacune de leurs extrémités par une partie arrondie, respectivement 2a et 3a, qui épouse la forme cylindrique des bouteilles 7 et qui vient se coller contre la face interne du volet 10 adjacent, pour être ainsi solidaire de la paroi transversale contiguë. Une fente 12, ménagée dans chacun des volets 9 parallèlement au fond 1, définit avec l'arête supérieure de ces volets une poignée 13, servant d'organe de préhension de l'emballage. Une bande de renfort 14 est collée sur cette poignée 13 et sur les parties arrondies 2a et 3a des parois 2 et 3 contiguës, les extrémités de la bande 14 étant elles-mêmes collées sur ces parois 2 et 3.
  • Ainsi, lorsque l'utilisateur saisit la poignée 13 pour déplacer l'emballage, l'effort de soutien qu'il exerce, qui est égal au poids de la charge, s'exerce non seulement sur la paroi 9 correspondante, mais sur les deux parois contiguës. En outre, l'effort de traction exercé sur la poignée 13 tend à rapprocher les parois 2 et 3 et, par conséquent, les bouteilles conditionnées, en imposant ainsi à l'ensemble de conditionnement une grande rigidité.
  • Comme il a déjà dit ci-dessus, l'invention s'applique à des emballages d'un type complètement différent de celui qui vient d'être décrit. Si l'on considère d'ailleurs uniquement celui-ci, il est clair que les parois latérales (longitudinales ou transversales) dans lesquelles sont ménagées les poignées peuvent avoir une structure complètement différente de celle des parois composites 9-10 de la demande. La poignée 13 pourrait aussi être découpée dans la masse de la paroi ou d'un volet constitutif de cette paroi, au lieu d'avoir un côté défini par une arête de cette paroi ou de ce volet.
  • La position relative des volets 9 et 10 pourrait être inversée. C'est ce que représente la fig. 4, où les organes déjà décrits conservent les mêmes chiffres de référence affectés de l'indice ' et où le volet 10' est collé sur la face externe du volet 9'.
  • Bien entendu, l'espace vide qui, dans le cas des dessins, sépare les parties inclinées 4 (ou 5) et 11 pourrait aussi bien être plein.
  • Enfin, dans le cas d'un emballage similaire destiné aux conditionnements de boîtes cylindriques au lieu de bouteilles, on pourra naturellement se dispenser des parties inclinées telles que 4, 5 et 11.

Claims (4)

1. Emballage en une matière semi-rigide telle que le carton pour le conditionnement d'un lot d'objets à axe de révolution, cet emballage comportant un fond (1 ), des parois latérales (2, 3, 9) perpendiculaires au fond, une partie supérieure (6) parallèle au fond et éventuellement des parties inclinées (4,11 ) réunissant cette partie supérieure aux parois latérales, l'une (9) au moins des parois latérales étant solidaire de parties arrondies (2a, 3a) épousant sensiblement la forme des objets (7) conditionnés et attenantes aux parois contiguës (2, 3), une poignée (13) étant découpée dans cette paroi (9), cet emballage étant caractérisé en ce que ladite poignée est découpée dans une direction sensiblement perpendiculaire aux axes desdits objets, et que sur ladite poignée (13) est contrecollée une bande de renfort (14) dont les extrémités sont également collées sur les parties adjacentes de ladite paroi (9) et une portion au moins de la partie arrondie (2a, 3a) réunissant cette paroi aux parois contiguës (2, 3).
2. Emballage selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les extrémités de la bande de renfort (14) s'étendent au-delà des parties arrondies (2a, 3a) et sont collées sur les parois adjacentes (2, 3).
3. Emballage selon l'une des revendications 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que la paroi dans laquelle est ménagée la poignée (13) est une paroi composite comprenant deux volets (9, 10) solidaires l'un de l'autre, l'un attenant au fond (1 ) et l'autre à la partie supérieure (6), la poignée (13) étant découpée dans le volet externe.
4. Emballage selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que la poignée (13) est définie par une fente (12) ménagée parallèlement au fond dans la paroi correspondante ou dans le panneau (9) externe constitutif de cette paroi et par l'arête de cette paroi ou de ce panneau.
