Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a dishwasher with an automatically cleaned recycling filter.
  • the filling water is usually sent by a pump in a circuit supplying a series of watering reels which spray the dishes to be cleaned.
  • the water dropped from the dishes is collected after passing through a filter, called a recycling filter, which retains dirt, and again directed into the same circuit which feeds the watering reels to carry out a new cycle. These cycles are repeated successively until the end of the washing operation.
  • the water thus circulates in a closed cycle. Dirt accumulates on the recycling filter, decreases the flow of recycling water and may cause total clogging.
  • a drainage circuit which discharges the used water and dirt, and the recycling filter is usually associated with the filter of this drainage circuit and forms with the latter a single piece.
  • the recycling filter must be provided with relatively fine meshes, and to obtain rapid emptying after washing, the drain filter must have relatively large meshes which make it possible to have a large evacuation rate and only retain large waste which could block the drain pump or damage it.
  • This solution consists in having the respective suction outlets of the recycling and emptying pumps in places quite distant from each other, and a mixed filter above these.
  • This mixed filter comprises relatively fine meshes in the area around the suction mouth of the recycling pump and relatively large meshes in the area near the suction mouth of the drain pump.
  • dirt still accumulates in the area of the fine mesh filter, decreases the passage section for the recycling water and may cause insufficient water flow for proper washing of the dishes.
  • the object of the present invention is to avoid the drawbacks recalled in the preceding paragraphs, makes it possible to produce a dishwasher having a recycling filter automatically cleaned over the whole of its surface, giving clean recycling water, having permanently a section sufficient filtration for the machine to operate with a minimum amount of water, and a removable, handy, easy-to-maintain drain filter.
  • a dishwasher with recycled water comprising a recycling filter of the type with a substantially horizontal surface on which dirt is retained, and means contributing to the cleaning of this filter, is characterized in that it comprises for a cleaning of this recycling filter over its entire surface of the means ensuring a thrust of the dirt respectively from the periphery towards the median circular zone and from the center towards this median circular zone of this recycling filter and along this median circular zone up to in a drain well located in this area.
  • a dishwasher 1 produced according to the invention illustrated diagrammatically in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises an interior tank 2 and an exterior bodywork 3.
  • a lower dish basket 4 In the interior tank 2 are mounted a lower dish basket 4, a basket upper dishes 5, a lower watering reel 6, upper watering reels 7 and 8 and bodies supplying water to these watering reels and draining bodies.
  • These water supply members and these drain members are schematically and partially shown in FIG. 2.
  • the drive members, the dishwasher control members and the other accessories of the machine are those of known types and do not are not shown.
  • FIG. 2 In the lower part 9 of the tank 2 ( Figure 2) are grouped a tank bottom 10, a recycling pump 11 whose wheel is indicated at 12, pipes 13 and 14 respectively guiding the water discharged by the recycling pump 11 to the lower watering reel 6 and the upper watering reels 7 and 8, a recycling filter 15 and a removable drainage well 16 mounted in the recycling filter 15 and a drainage chamber 17 to connect the external surface of this filter 15 to a drain pump not shown.
  • the recycling filter 15 is fixed, substantially coaxial with the axis of rotation 18 of the lower watering reel 6 and comprises a relatively flat, substantially horizontal surface covering almost all of the lower part 9 of the tank 2.
  • the well of removable drain 16 which includes steep side walls, is mounted in the area of the central circular ring of the recycling filter 15 at a point radially off-center towards the outside.
  • the lower spray reel 6 is provided in its lower surface 19 facing the recycling filter 15, with at least two nozzles 20 and 21 creating jets of diverging flat inclined water 22, 23 directed on the recycling filter in the direction of rotation 24 of the reel (6), obliquely to the longitudinal axis of symmetry 25 of this reel and respectively from the center to the middle circular area and from the periphery to this middle circular area of the recycling filter 15, this which allows, during the rotation of the reel 6, to these jets of water to repel the dirt being on the recycling filter 15, towards the median circular zone and along this zone towards the draining well 16 at each passage of these jets 22, 23 and to precipitate or pour them into this well.
  • the recycling filter 15 which is provided throughout the surface with meshes 26 of which only a part is shown in FIG. 3, presents to soiling a substantially horizontal surface which is smooth and / or convex upwards.
  • a circular shape of the recycling filter 15 allows the flat water jets 22, 23 which repel the dirt, to reach all the points of this filter 15 and to ensure cleaning of the entire surface of the latter.
  • a large surface of the recycling filter 15 also allows the latter to advantageously have fine meshes to remove even dirt of very small dimensions.
  • this well may even have a small dimension compared to that of the recycling filter 15 without reducing the efficiency of the removal of this dirt.
  • the drain well 16 comprises in its side walls a relatively fine mesh filter 27 for the return of the recycling water into the recycling chamber 28, and in its bottom, a relatively wide mesh filter 29 which retains only large waste which could damage or immobilize the drain pump.
  • the small size of the removable or removable drain well 16 facilitates its removal and its replacement in the dishwasher 1 consequently its maintenance. In general, this drain well 16 is not very dirty because most of the dirt which falls into the drain chamber 17 through its large mesh filter 29 is discharged during the drain which follows each of the phases of the washing cycle.
  • the cleaning nozzles 20 and 21 which create jets of cleaning water for the recycling filter 15 are (FIGS. 4 to 6) formed by cutting and stamping in the lower half 19 of the lower reel 6, the upper half 30 of this reel being provided with spray nozzles of known types not shown.
  • the cleaning nozzle 20 is formed in the outer end of an arm of the lower reel (6) while the cleaning nozzle (21) is formed in the inner end of the opposite arm of this lower reel (6) .
  • the width 31 and the height 32 of each of the cleaning nozzles 20 or 21 determine the dimension of the spread jet of water 22 or 23 while the angle 33 that each of the nozzles 20 or 21 forms with the plan of the reel or of the lower half 19 of the reel 6, determines the inclination according to which the jet 22 or 23 collides with the dirt and drives it back.
  • a good choice of the values of these width 31, height 32 and angle 33 makes it possible to obtain a good efficiency of the repression of dirt.
  • the width 31 and the height 32 can be respectively of the order of 8 mm to 15 mm and 1 to 2 mm, and the angle 33 is of the order of 10 ° to 25 °.
  • the cleaning nozzles 20 and 21 have a width 31 of 11 mm, a height 32 of 1.5 mm and an angle 33 of 15 °.
  • the water jet created by the nozzle 20 is directed obliquely with respect to the axis of symmetry longitudinal 25 of the reel 6 at an angle 34 of the order of 20 ° to 40 ° and the jet 23 created by the nozzle 21 is oriented obliquely with respect to this axis 25 at an angle 35 of the order of 30 ° to 50 °.
  • the angles 34 and 35 of these water jets 22 and 23 have values of 30 ° and 40 ° respectively.
  • the end 40 in the form of an arc of a circle of each nozzle improves the spreading of the jet.
  • the lower water reel 6 sends to the recycling filter 15 by cleaning nozzles 20 and 21, jets of water 22, 23 grazing, divergent and flat, in the form of brushes in the direction of rotation.
  • 24 of the reel 6, obliquely to the longitudinal axis of symmetry of the reel 6 and respectively from the center to the middle circular area and from the periphery to this middle circular area of this recycling filter 15 to discharge dirt into this area and along it to the drain well 16 and pour it there.
