- the water dropped from the dishes is collected after passing through a filter, called a recycling filter, which retains dirt, and again directed into the same circuit which feeds the watering reels to carry out a new cycle. These cycles are repeated successively until the end of the washing operation.
- the water thus circulates in a closed cycle. Dirt accumulates on the recycling filter, decreases the flow of recycling water and may cause total clogging.
- a drainage circuit which discharges the used water and dirt, and the recycling filter is usually associated with the filter of this drainage circuit and forms with the latter a single piece.
- the recycling filter must be provided with relatively fine meshes, and to obtain rapid emptying after washing, the drain filter must have relatively large meshes which make it possible to have a large evacuation rate and only retain large waste which could block the drain pump or damage it.
- This solution consists in having the respective suction outlets of the recycling and emptying pumps in places quite distant from each other, and a mixed filter above these.
