Tandis que la couche de laque pulverisee doit assurer une protection parfaite contre la corrosion, la seconde couche a laquelle on peut donner une surface grossierement modelee grace a un rouleau profile, peut servir a des buts decoratifs ou avoir une fonction de protection mecanique. Le revetement obtenu resistant aux intemperies montre une bonne adherence aussi bien seul que sur le support.
