Definitions

  • the invention relates to a set of building play elements provided with coupling members used to associate these elements with one another.
  • the receiving elements have such a shape that the penetrating elements, after assembly, have no freedom of movement. If two cubic parts have been combined by means of a single penetrating element, this penetrating element is completely enveloped by the cubic parts and no play between these parts is possible, the aim being to build a sports mat or a floating raft .
  • the aim of the present invention is to design a set of construction elements in which the possibilities of assembly are greater and with which we can make a very large number of combinations serving as a game.
  • the invention presents a set of construction or assembly play elements, comprising at least two types of elements - on the one hand, a typed penetrating element having at least two spherical parts joined by a part cylindrical and narrower intermediate, on the other hand, a typed receiving element having at least one housing for a spherical part of a penetrating element, this housing being designed so that a spherical part of a penetrating element can be tightened elastically by snapping into this housing.
  • the assembly of elements according to the invention is characterized in that the receiving elements have the form of a single or multiple link, having at least two housings for the spherical parts of the penetrating elements at their opposite ends, this link being made up of flat parts in the form of H arranged parallel * element and opposite in pairs, each end of a branch of a part in H being elastically connected corresponding end of the branch envis-d-of the other part in H of the same pair, with the aid of intermediate pieces having the shape of a semicircle, in such a way that these intermediate pieces and the contiguous branches which they link together define housings for the spherical parts of a penetrating element.
  • the different elements are well adapted to each other, and a very large number of combinations serving as a game can be produced.
  • Figures 1 and 2 show two embodiments of a penetrating element
  • Figures 3, 4 and 5 respectively show in perspective a receiving element, a modified penetrating element and their assembly, Figure 5 having a partial cutaway.
  • Figures 6, 7 and 8 are a graphic representation of the relative dimensions of the elements according to Figures 3, 4 and 5.
  • FIG. 9 is an alternative embodiment.
  • the same reference marks designate identical or analogous elements.
  • the penetrating element 2 shown in Figure 1 is provided with two spherical parts 7, which are integral with each other by means of an intermediate cylindrical part 17, so that between these parts 7 is formed an annular narrowing.
  • the distance "a" between the centers of these spherical parts is approximately equal to the diameter of these.
  • FIG. 2 represents another particular penetrating element 2 which consists of three aligned spherical parts 7 which are separated from each other by narrower intermediate cylindrical parts 17.
  • a receiving element 1 is formed by a link which has at its two opposite ends housings 5 for the spherical parts 7 of a penetrating element 2.
  • This link 1 consists of two H-shaped parts, 9 and 10, parallel to each other, and spaced from each other by a distance which is a little less than the diameter of a spherical part 7, so that the latter can be blocked between the branches 11 and 12 of these two H-shaped parts, 9 and 10.
  • the branches 11 and 12 of the H-shaped part, 9, are elastically connected with the corresponding branches 11 and 12 of the H-shaped part, 10 which are opposite to them to form the housings 5 of the spherical parts. 7.
  • notches 6 can be provided in the curved parts 13, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5.
  • At least some of the spherical parts 7 are provided with locking members which make it possible to limit the rotational movement of the spherical part concerned in a housing 5 of the receiving element.
  • a locking member of this type is formed by a circular shoulder 14 whose center is located on an axis perpendicular to that on which the centers of the two spherical parts 7 of l are located. penetrating element 2.
  • the height of the shoulder 14 is, at most, limited by the plane tangent to the spherical part 7, at the center of this shoulder; it can therefore possibly be lower.
  • the penetrating element according to Figures 4 and 5 has a cylindrical cavity 15 whose axis is located on the axis which connects the centers of the two spherical parts, this cavity opening at its two ends to the outer surface of these spherical parts 7.
  • the center of this shoulder can be located on the same axis as that which connects the centers of the two spherical parts.
  • the centers of the various shoulders can also be located on the same axial plane of the penetrating element or else the centers of the shoulders of one of the spherical parts can be in a plane perpendicular to the plane which contains the centers of the shoulders of the other spherical part.
  • each of the spherical parts there are provided on each of the spherical parts two shoulders whose centers are diametrically opposite one another and are located in the same axial plane.
  • the rotational movement of the penetrating element 2 relative to the receiving element 1 is limited as a function of the position of the locking member, more specifically of the shoulder 14, on the spherical part.
  • the penetrating element 2 can only be rotated on a single axis parallel to the spacers 16 of the H-shaped parts, 9 and 10. If the center of the shoulder is located on the 'axis which connects the centers of the spherical parts, that is to say on the same axis as the cavity 15, the penetrating element 2 can then rotate only around the axis of this cylindrical cavity.
  • the external distance a between the H-shaped parts is approximately equal to the diameter of the spherical parts 7 and that the internal distance b between them is approximately equal to that of the intermediate part more narrow 17Located between the two consecutive spherical parts 7.
  • the width of the H-shaped parts is approximately equal to the diameter of the spherical parts 7 and constitutes two housings 5 opposite one another to receive the spherical parts, the execution of the H-shaped parts. being such that the centers of the spherical parts are in these housings spaced from each other by a distance equal to their diameter.
  • the internal distance b between the branches of the same H-shaped part is also approximately equal to the diameter of a cylindrical intermediate part
  • the space 18 between the spacer 16 and the base of the branches which are connected on one side to the latter has the shape of a semicircle whose radius corresponds approximately to that of the circular shoulder 14.
  • the center 0 of this semicircle is located in the longitudinal plane of symmetry S 1 of the H-shaped parts, 9 and 10, perpendicular to the spacer 16 and at a distance from the middle thereof roughly equal to the radius of the parts spherical.
  • Said curved intermediate pieces 13 also have roughly the shape of a semicircle whose radius is approximately equal to that of the circular shoulder 14 and whose center 0 'is located in the middle between the two H-shaped parts , 9 and 10, at a distance from the transverse plane of symmetry S2 approximately equal to the radius of the spherical parts.
  • the housings 5 have a penetration opening for the spherical parts 7 whose smallest width, which corresponds to the interior distance between the intermediate parts 13, is twice the depth x of the narrowing formed by the cylindrical intermediate part 17
  • FIGS. 3 to 8 applies mutatis mutandis to the embodiments of FIG. 2 which relates to penetrating elements 7 used to form the T or angular connections with receptor elements 1 (not shown) .
  • the links can be simple, as in Figure 3, or be multiple. In the case of multiple links, these may for example consist of two or more single links joined to one another.
  • the link elements 1 in FIG. 3 can be assembled in an open or closed chain or in a branched construction by alternately joining a penetrating element and a receiving element which are connected together.
  • FIG. 9 which includes both a penetrating part 2 constituted by a spherical part 7 connected at 17 to a receiving element 1 comprising a single housing 5.
  • Elements of this type can be linked by making a spherical part 7 of a first element penetrate into the housing 5 of a neighboring element (not shown). This variant of execution is however more difficult to execute by injection of resins.
