Definitions

  • the invention relates to a means of transport for castings with foundry sand for foundry conveyor systems, in the course of which a blasting system is arranged for cleaning the castings, which has a holding device with a rust-like base and a holding element cooperating therewith for receiving the castings, the holding device being the Castings rotate around an essentially horizontal axis and at the same time are transported through the blasting system.
  • blasting systems are known (DE-B-2 510 827, DE-A1-2 613 717), in which the castings, in particular heavy and complicated castings, such as cylinder blocks etc., are gripped by a special holding device and by means of this the blasting system can be transported, this holding device essentially only having rods which grip the castings at only a few locations in order to allow unimpeded access to the blasting medium.
  • These holding devices are also provided with a drive by means of which they and thus the castings are constantly turned around a substantially horizontal axis, so that the cleaning jet reaches all parts of the casting and the sandblasted molding sand can fall out of all cavities in the casting.
  • the holding device is designed as a horizontal pliers, the jaws of which are formed by a fixed rod and two pivotable rods connected by a transverse rod, while in the other case (DE-A1-2613717) the Holding device consists of a substantially horizontally lying, cross-divided basket, one part of which is pivotally mounted for opening and closing. This basket also works like a pair of pliers. These pliers-like holding devices move the casting or the casting on a linear or circular path through the blasting system and are simultaneously held in a rotational movement by a rotary drive.
  • the invention is based on the object, in conjunction with a blasting system of the last-mentioned type, which enables the problem-free cleaning of even complicated castings
  • this object is achieved according to the invention in that the rust-like base - serving as a means of transport - can be transferred together with the castings from the blasting system to the conveyor systems and vice versa and with the holding element which can be pivoted or displaced against them or against the castings the holding device forms a basket in the locking system.
  • the molded sand bale is pushed onto the rust-like base at the end of the cooling section or is grasped by this and with the uniform conveyor system from this point to the unpacking station, e.g. B. spent on a rash.
  • the unpacking station e.g. B. spent on a rash.
  • the castings - regardless of shape and size - are held back by the rust-like base and then transported to the blasting system by means of the uniform conveyor system. There, the base with the castings is transferred to the holding device of the blasting system by coupling corresponding means arranged on this and on the base to one another.
  • the base remains in an essentially horizontal position.
  • the holding element provided on the holding device is pivoted or shifted against the base or the castings located thereon, the base and holding element then forming a basket which is closed on all sides and which, on the one hand, is able to hold castings of any kind, and, on the other hand, the blasting agent during the rotational movement and allows the castings to move unhindered and at the same time also allows the blasting agent to be removed properly.
  • the holding element is raised or swiveled out of the closed position, so that the base with the blasted castings can be transferred to the further conveyor system.
  • the rust-like base in the form of a basket open at the top and the holding element on the holding device are essentially flat, the holding element engaging in the basket opening.
  • This embodiment is particularly suitable for foundries with frequently changing castings, with the support even the transport of the smallest castings.
  • the holding device can have a swivel arm, on the free end of which the holding element formed from parallel rods or from a grid is articulated.
  • the articulation ensures that the rods or the grid forming the holding element adapt to the position of the castings in the basket or their contour and can in any case grasp them at several points.
  • the rust-like base is flat and the pivotable or displaceable holding element is designed as a cage which is open at the bottom.
  • This embodiment is particularly suitable for large cast pieces, such as large cylinder blocks or the like, since the placement and removal of the cast pieces from such a flat base is possible with simple aids.
  • the holding element is pivotable or displaceable against the base in such a way that the castings are clamped between the two, so that they cannot change their position during the rotational movement of the holding device within the blasting system and thus it is guaranteed that the cleaning jet reaches all parts of the casting.
  • a circulating movement can also be sensible, so that the base and the holding element should not jam the castings between them.
  • the corresponding means provided on the base and on the holding device for fixing the base on the holding device are formed by at least one hook on one part and an eyelet on the other part.
  • the pad is thus only hung on the holding device, which is possible by a simple lifting and lowering movement of the device transferring the pad to the holding device.
  • the pad behind the blasting system can be removed from the holding device just as easily.
  • the base on the holding device In order to further stabilize the base on the holding device, it is supported on the holding device in addition to the hook and eye at a distance below it.
  • the means of transport are also suitable for the transport of the molded sand bale to the unpacking station and the castings which are then pre-cleaned there from the unpacking station to the blasting system. Furthermore, these transport means can also take over the further transport of the castings from the blasting system to, for example, further cleaning stations.
  • FIG. 1 shows the area of a one-station blasting system 1 which has a blasting cubicle 2, a loading station 3 and a sand emptying station 4. These three stations each form a position of a turntable 5, on which three holding devices 6, each with a rotary and clamping drive 7, are arranged symmetrically.
  • a transfer device 8 which can also be rotated about a vertical axis, for example likewise in the form of a turntable, to which the unpacking station is conveyed by means of a conveyor 9, e.g. B. a conveyor belt, brought up means of transport 10 with the castings.
  • the station 4 of the turntable 5 can be provided for unloading the castings or also for delivering the means of transport.
  • this station can be designed as an empty station or as a closed station for the further removal of loosened molding sand and blasting agent by further rotation of the holding device.
  • the transport means at the loading station 3 is delivered to the turntable 8, since this rotates in the opposite direction to the turntable 5, the transport means 10 is brought into position 11, while at the same time a means of transport which has not yet been cleaned from the position near the conveyor belt 9 is rotated toward the holding device 6, which is still in the loading position 3.
  • the transport means 10 containing the cleaned castings can be transferred from the position 11 of the transfer device 8 together with the castings to a conveyor 12 connected there. However, the castings can also be removed from the transport means 10 at this position 11 and placed on the conveyor 12 alone. In this case, the transport means 10 are transported back from position 11 to the unpacking station or cooling section.
  • the transport means 10 is designed as a rust-like base, which, as shown in FIG. 1, consists of two longitudinal bars 13 and a plurality of transverse bars 14.
  • the rust-like base 10 as can be seen in particular in FIG. 2, is designed in the form of a basket open at the top, in which rods 15 projecting upwards to the cross bars 14 or the cross bars are simply bent upwards .
  • the rust-like pad 10 in the region of one end of the longitudinal rods 13 means, for. B. in the form of eyelets 16, by means of which the pad can be attached to the holding device 6.
  • This has (FIG. 2) a correspondingly corresponding means 17 in the form of a hook. Hook 17 and eyelet 16 are arranged with respect to the longitudinal rods 13 so that the longitudinal rods 13 can also be supported at 18 on the holding device.
  • the holding device 6 is designed as a rotating unit and, in addition to the hook 17, has a holding element 19 which, in the exemplary embodiment shown, is pivotably mounted on the rotating unit. It consists of a swivel arm 20 and a plurality of parallel bars or a grid 21 which is articulated at 22 on the free end of the swivel arm 20.
  • the rust-like base 10 is rotated by the transfer device 8 into the loading station 3 and attached to the hook 17 of the holding device 6.
  • the transfer device can be raised and lowered and is lowered at the loading position 3 into the position shown in broken lines in FIG.
  • the swivel arm 19 is closed, so that the bars or the grid 21 are pressed against the castings.
  • the holding device then moves by means of the turntable 5 into the blasting cubicle 2, where the castings are cleaned with constant rotation.
  • the rust-like base 10 is flat in the form of a conventional grid or a grid and is provided on one side with the means 16 for attaching to the holding device 6.
  • a mobile lifting table 23 is indicated in FIG. 3, which moves the pad towards the holding device and hangs onto the holding device by lowering the table surface.
  • the holding device 6 as the holding element 19 in turn has a swivel arm 20, which, however - in contrast to FIGS. 1 and 2 - is configured by several rods 24 to form a cage which is open at the bottom and which, in the closed position, engages around the flat rust-like base 10 on the outside or in this intervenes.
