- Pressed fiber bales must be strapped or strapped before exiting the press so as not to fall apart.

- the magazine 51 can be moved out of the path of movement of the bending device 20 with the aid of a drive 52, and as soon as this has been done, the pivoting device 19 pivots the steel wire 3a, which is still tensioned, until its end 4 engages in the holding and closing device 22 in the press plate 14 , as indicated in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 6.

- the camshaft 58 is also mounted in this carrier 65 and is driven by means of a pinion 66 and a rack 67 by a pneumatically or hydraulically operating piston-cylinder device 68.
- the piston-cylinder device 68 pivots the clamping disks into the holding position and moves them back into the release position during the return stroke.
- Each pressing tool 53 has a fixed jaw 69 and a jaw 71 which is movable by means of a piston-cylinder drive 70.
