Definitions

  • the invention relates to a swing with at least two swing rods, which are pivotally connected at their upper end about a horizontal axis of rotation to a horizontal support beam, and in which between at least one of the swing rods and the support beam, a braking device becomes effective when a permissible deflection angle of the swing rods is exceeded is.
  • Swings in which one or more seats are attached to a supporting structure via swing rods are known.
  • the swing deflection can be limited by a fixed stop for the upper ends of the swing rods.
  • stops abruptly brake the swing serve, so that there is a risk of falling from the swing, especially when the swing is used by small children who are inattentive and do not absorb the brake jerk with their arms.
  • two relatively large plates are provided for this purpose, arranged in the plane of the oscillation movement on the oscillation axis, one of which is non-rotatably connected to the support bar or stand frame and the other to the oscillation rod of the swing.
  • One of the disks is also slidably supported in the axial direction and is acted upon by a spring force acting in the direction of the second plate.
  • the plates are provided with wedge-shaped projections running in a circular direction, which come into mutual frictional contact when a certain deflection angle is exceeded, as a result of which the braking effect is generated.
  • GB-A 247 851 describes a braking device in which a weight, which can additionally be spring-loaded, is lifted by an eccentric cam connected to the swing rod when a certain deflection angle of the swing is exceeded.
  • both devices can serve the desired purpose, they have several major disadvantages.
  • the structure of the known braking devices is relatively complicated and many special components are required. This leads to uneconomically high manufacturing and assembly costs.
  • Another major disadvantage is the lack of functional reliability under the influence of wind and weather.
  • sliding connections of components are provided, which are essential for proper functioning. If corrosion occurs at these points, the braking device can become completely ineffective.
  • the braking effect is initially not available and then suddenly occurs when a certain deflection angle is exceeded.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a swing with a braking device which avoids the disadvantages listed and which in particular satisfies the safety regulations mentioned above.
  • the swing should also be simple and economical to manufacture and its function should not be impaired by long-term exposure to weather.
  • the swing according to the invention has a braking device which is integrated in the suspension of the swing rods and thus requires very little additional space and only a few components.
  • the functional reliability of the braking device is fully retained even under unfavorable and long-lasting weather conditions.
  • a very gentle application of the braking effect is achieved when the swing approaches the maximum permissible deflection.
  • the rotationally fixed fixing of one end of the threaded bolt advantageously takes place in that the threaded bolt has at its end with the head a molded part arranged below it, which rotatably engages in a corresponding recess in the carrier disk facing the head.
  • This molded section can be, for example, a projecting nose or a polygonal attachment, for which the recess in the carrier disk represents the suitable counterpart.
  • the required connection between the swing rod and the associated nut is advantageously achieved in that the nut forming the other end of the threaded bolt is rotatably encompassed by a transmission element designed as an upstanding arm, the lower part of which is fastened to the corresponding swing rod.
  • This arm can be, for example, a sheet metal strip which has a recess whose outline corresponds to the outer outline of the mother.
  • the transmission element has a locking point for the polygonal recess forming the edges of the nut in the manner of a polygonal wrench.
  • the nut is screwed onto the thread of the threaded bolt to such an extent that when the swing is at rest, no braking effect is yet generated.
  • the nut is then rotated according to the deflection of the rocking rod on the thread of the threaded bolt, resulting in the braking described above. Readjustment in the event of partial wear of the brake discs is also possible by simply loosening the transmission element and tightening the nuts.
  • the threaded bolts of two rocker rod ends have threads with the same thread and that the bolts are inserted in opposite directions. This has the advantage that it is not necessary to produce different threaded bolts with different threads. This further reduces the outlay on components, which has a favorable effect on the costs for such a swing.
  • a cheap thread form for the threaded bolts and the nuts is a rectangular thread. This thread runs smoothly and is not too easily stuck even when dirty.
  • plastic insert bushings with a cut internal and external thread can be arranged between threaded bolts and nuts.
  • nuts and threaded bolts must of course be designed so that there is sufficient space between them.
  • Discs made of an abrasion-resistant, dimensionally stable plastic are useful for the brake discs, which are subject to heavy wear due to friction and surface pressure.
  • a particularly suitable plastic, which should preferably be used here, is glass fiber reinforced polyamide 66.
  • the swing according to the invention has a braking device 1, which is fastened to the horizontal support bar 3 of a swing frame via carrier disks 2, 2 'and in which the upper ends of the swing bars 4, 4' can be rotated about threaded bolts 5, 5 'on both sides of the support bar 3 are held.
  • FIG. 1 shows, the threaded bolts 5, 5 'are guided parallel to the support bars 3 through the carrier disks 2, 2' and the upper ends of the oscillating rods 4, 4 '.
  • square lugs 7, 7 ' are formed below the bolt heads 6, 6', which engage in corresponding cutouts 8, 8 'in the carrier disks 2, 2' and secure the bolts against twisting.
  • the bolts 5, 5 ' are guided through bores at the upper end of the oscillating rods 4, 4' arranged between the carrier disks 2, 2 '.
  • brake discs 9 are arranged on both sides of the oscillating rod ends, which encompass the bolts. With their disk-shaped part, which has a central bore, the brake disks 9 rest on the outer jacket of the vibrating rods 4, 4 'and on the inner surface of the carrier disks 2, 2' facing the vibrating rods.
  • a plastic with high abrasion resistance and high wear resistance e.g. B. polyamide 66, which may be glass fiber reinforced to increase strength.
  • the brake disks in the exemplary embodiment shown have cylindrical projections which protrude into the bores in the ends of the vibrating rod and sit there between the bolt and the ends of the vibrating rod.
  • threads 10 In the over the side surfaces of the carrier sheet Ben protruding parts of the bolts are threads 10, preferably rectangular threads, cut.
  • the bolts 5, 5 ' preferably have a thread with the same gear, they are then arranged in the braking device 1 of the swing opposite.
  • the screw threads 10 are used to turn nuts 11 with nut threads which, together with the bolt heads 6, 6 ', clamp the carrier disks 2, 2'.
  • Plastic insert bushings 12 with threads cut into the nuts 11 and threads 10 can also be arranged between nuts 11 and threads 10.
  • the nuts 11 are each surrounded on both sides of the braking device 1 by an arm 14 with a central opening and locking points for the edges of the nuts.
  • the arm 14 merges into a U-shaped extension 15, which comprises an oscillating rod together with a bolt 16 connecting the legs of the extension, which can have a bushing for easier installation.
  • the locking positions of the arm 14 determine the position of the nut and thus the play between the nut and the carrier disk.
  • twelve locking points are provided on the circumference of the disk opening in the exemplary embodiment. For finer adjustment of the game, however, multiples of twelve can also be provided at rest points.
  • the maximum swing angle of the swing due to the construction of the brake device can be increased or decreased using the nuts. A stronger tightening of the nuts leads to a smaller swing deflection, while a smaller tightening leads to larger swings.
