- Converter plates are known from a large number of publications. In this context, reference is made to DE-OS 31 07 344, DE-OS 31 07 293, DE-OS 30 07 834, DE-OS 30 05 708, DE-OS 30 07 808, DE-PS 19 61 217, in which the transducer element is held clamped between the bearing bodies.
- Piezoelectric transducers belong to the group of reversible transducers, i.e. they can be excited electrically and then emit sound or vice versa. These converters are therefore very versatile. They can be used in speech capsules, hearing capsules or as a ringing tone in telephone systems. Depending on its application, the transducer must be specially adapted to the requirements of, for example, a microphone, i.e. Under certain circumstances, an amplifier must be provided, or the resonator rooms and sound guide channels must be specially matched to the respective converter type.

- the limits of the design are given by the high voltage transmission factor required for sound transmitters. Another limit is the processability of the plates as well as their frequency response conditions. The thickness of the ceramic and the thickness of the transducer plate must not be less than a minimum value. But there are also limits to the top. The upper limit for the diameter of the ceramic is limited by the possibility of manufacturing thin ceramic disks. The maximum diameter for the carrier plate is determined by the maximum possible capsule diameter.
- transducer capacity of approximately 200 nF or more is required to achieve the required voltage transmission factor in the telephone, since the telephone is thus adapted to the telephone circuit.

- the transducer plate shown in the figures consists of a carrier plate 1 made of an aluminum alloy or brass and a piezoceramic plate 3 which is connected to the carrier plate 1 by an adhesive layer 2.
- the adhesive layer 2 can consist of a relatively thick layer which is distributed over the entire area over the carrier plate. In the present case, however, the adhesive layer 2 consists of a relatively thin layer, which is only applied under the ceramic plate and has a negligible thickness.
