Definitions

  • the invention relates to a door frame consisting of a metal frame connecting to the masonry and a cladding made of wood or optically similar materials, which essentially covers the (outer) side of the metal frame facing away from the masonry and consists of a reveal leg and at least one wall leg, and in which the metal frame consists of a multi-part, possibly assembled into a one-piece frame, namely one or more base profile parts with wall sections which run essentially at right angles to one another, with which the metal frame is to be attached to the masonry, and one or more holding profile parts which are fixed are connected to each other and at least in the area of the door leaf stop via profile webs and / or grooves with the reveal leg and at least one wall leg of the cladding and optionally an elastic sealing profile.
  • a frame of the type mentioned which has an essentially U-shaped cross-section, which extends at least over part of the circumference thereof and is designed for fastening the frame to the wall, the two legs of the
  • the web connecting the profile rails abuts at least partially on the frame and is firmly connected to it and the two legs protrude into the wall opening, and in which one of the U-legs is longer than the other and bears against the wall opening and the profile rail is one in Has flange projecting on the side of the longer leg in the direction of the web.
  • the longer U-leg and the projecting flange form equivalent parts to the wall legs of the metal frame mentioned above.
  • De-A-2739339 shows a multi-part frame for fastening in a wall or ceiling opening for doors, windows or the like, with a profile to be applied to the opening edge, the width of which is smaller than the smallest wall thickness to be expected and which has a stop angle has its position fixation in the opening and is provided with a web projecting into the opening, which for fixing the position and partially receiving a first covering part covering the stop angle and the sections of the opening edge and the profile located on one side of the web, for fastening a correspondingly the Wall thickness applied, which is located on the other side of the web sections of the opening edge and the profile covering second cladding part and for attaching a cover cap, which covers the web and the ends of the two cladding parts located in the opening.
  • both frames there are of course holes or openings for the passage of screws for fastening the metal frame to the wall, which is no longer visible in the finished state, and for connecting the cladding parts to the metal frame.
  • both known frames have a relatively low stability and in particular a very low torsional rigidity.
  • larger forces can act on three projecting, web-like parts of the frame profiles, such as those e.g. occur when the door slams violently.
  • the protruding profile parts are exposed to an increased risk of deformation and even breakage.
  • Another disadvantage of the known frames is that in both frames one of the wall legs of the cladding must already be mounted on the metal frame before the metal frame is installed in the door opening because the cladding part is fastened to the metal frame from the wall side. This results in an increased risk of damage to the already installed wall leg of the cladding during the ongoing construction work.
  • a door frame of the type mentioned in which at least a part of the wall leg of the base profile part springs back relative to the reveal side in the region of the reveal leg of the cladding and the base profile part is attached to the masonry via this part and in which the wall leg of the Base profile part in the clad part of the frame are connected by pipe guides that have at their ends through openings for fasteners to be inserted into the cladding.
  • the recess of the wall leg of the base profile part creates space behind the projecting part of the wall leg for the arrangement of the pipe guides.
  • these act as stabilizing struts in the manner of diagnostic struts, which make the profile part very stable.
  • they serve to carry out fastening means, preferably screws, by means of which the associated wall leg of the cladding can be firmly connected to the base profile part from the wall opening, even after the base profile part has already been installed in the wall opening. This means that all cladding parts after completion of the assembly and other work on the metal frame and z. B. on a floor covering still to be applied such as screed or the like, whereby premature damage to parts of the cladding can be safely avoided.
  • the door frame essentially consists of a metal frame 1 and a cladding 2, which essentially covers the metal frame 1, so that, in particular when the door leaf 6 is closed, the visual impression of a wooden frame is given.
  • the cladding 2 which is made of wood or other decorative materials, is composed of a soffit leg 3 and two wall legs 4 and 4 'which are laterally assigned to the soffit leg 3 and are perpendicular thereto.
  • the wall leg 4 'of the cladding lies against the plaster of the masonry 5 and is connected to the reveal leg 3 in a known manner by means of a spring which engages in a corresponding groove.
  • the reveal leg 3 does not completely cover the reveal surface of the door opening.
  • the metal frame 1 is arranged, which forms a stop surface for the door leaf 6 and connects the reveal leg 3 and the wall leg 4 to one another.
  • the metal frame 1 is preferably constructed in two parts for manufacturing reasons, namely from a base profile part 7, with which the frame rests on the masonry 5 or the plastered parts of the masonry and via which the fastening on Masonry takes place, and a holding profile part 8, which creates the connection to the panel 2.
  • a base profile part 7 with which the frame rests on the masonry 5 or the plastered parts of the masonry and via which the fastening on Masonry takes place
  • a holding profile part 8 which creates the connection to the panel 2.
  • the base profile part 7 has two wall legs 9 and 10 which are arranged at right angles to one another.
  • the wall leg 10 of the base profile part forms the system for the inside of the wall leg 4 directed towards the masonry 5, which is held between the wall leg 10 of the base profile part and a leg 11 of the holding profile part 8 that bends parallel to the wall leg 10.
  • the wall leg 9 of the base profile part in turn forms the system for the inside of the reveal side 3 directed towards the masonry 5.
  • a fastening web 12 of the retaining profile part runs parallel and at a distance from the wall leg 9 and engages in a groove 13 made on the narrow side surface of the reveal side 3 facing the door leaf and thus ensures a firm connection of the reveal leg 3 to the metal frame.
  • the right-angled arrangement of the wall legs 9 and 10 of the base profile part ensures that the soffit leg 3 and the wall leg 4 of the cladding are also oriented at right angles to one another. That the angle between the wall legs 9 and 10 is maintained and does not change due to the twisting of the profile is ensured by pipe guides 14 which establish a cross connection between the wall legs 9 and 10 on the masonry side.
  • the pipe guides 14 are arranged at intervals on the metal frame and give it additional torsional rigidity.
  • the pipe guides 14 have at their ends through openings 15 through which fasteners can be inserted into the guides and can be introduced into the inside of the wall leg 4 when the lining of the door frame for fastening the wall leg 4 to the frame profile. As shown in the figures, screws 16 with locking heads are suitable as fastening means.
  • the metal frame of the door frame is preferably made as a finished rectangular frame.
  • the wall leg 10 of the base profile part has sleeves 17 with an internal thread, into which the pins of the door fastening strips 18 can be screwed.
  • Sleeves with an internal thread for fastening a door closer can be arranged in the same way on the upper crossbar of the door frame.
  • a closing part with wall protection box 19 for the door latch and latch 20 is arranged on the wall leg 10 accordingly.
  • the parts 18 and 19 that are stressed when the door is closed are firmly connected to the metal frame and thus to the masonry.
  • the cladding does not have a supporting function for the lock part 19 and the door fastening straps 18.
  • the holding profile part 8 of the metal frame is angled to form a groove 21, into which a sealing profile 22 can be partially countersunk.
  • the groove 21 is bounded towards the door leaf 6 by a web 23 which, after being bent twice, merges into the fastening web 12 of the holding profile part.
  • the web 23 can also be welded to the holding profile part.
  • the surface 24 formed when bending between the webs 12 and 2 forms, together with the sealing profile 22, a stop for the door leaf 6 knocked out in this part.
  • the outside of the door leaf 6 lies against a seal 25 in a groove when the door is closed 26, which runs parallel to the groove 13 in the narrow side surface of the reveal side 3 facing the door leaf.
  • the door leaf is provided with a cuff 27 which engages over part of the wall leg 4 of the panel.
  • a frame rectangular frame or U-frame the side parts and transverse upper part of which consist of the base profile part, inserted in the door opening and provisionally after fixing the installation height by spacer strips adapted to the side limits of the door opening.
  • the base profile part rests with a part 28 of the wall leg 9 that springs back to the masonry on the reveal surface of the masonry.
  • the leg part 28 is underlaid with suitable material at the fastening points and then fastened to the masonry by means of screws. The screws are attached to the side parts and, if necessary, to the upper part of the frame.
  • the part of the base profile part protruding from the masonry is back-cast.
  • the wall leg 10 of the base profile part specifies the thickness of the plaster layer, which is aligned with the wall leg 10 after completion.
  • a frame, the side parts and transverse upper part of which consist of the holding profile part 8 is then connected to the frame of the base profile part.
  • the sealing profile 22, which runs around the frame in the groove, is preferably mitred at the corners and thus has a closed course.
  • the cladding 2 is attached to the masonry 5 or to the side parts and the upper part of the frame frame.
  • the cavity 35, which is formed between masonry and reveal legs 3 of the cladding can, for. B. fully or partially with plastic foam, preferably polyurethane foam, which ensures good cohesion of the parts due to its sticky consistency, are foamed.
  • a frame is used in which the holding profile part and base profile part are firmly connected before assembly or as one piece. If the profile is available, the connection process does not apply to the assembly sequence described above.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 show further embodiments of the frame profile, which represent simpler variations in terms of production technology.
  • the arrangement of wall protection boxes and sleeves for the door fastening tapes on the profiles corresponds to the arrangement shown in FIGS. 2a and 2b and has therefore not been included in the figures.
  • the location of the masonry, cladding and door leaf is shown in the figures.
  • the base profile part 7 is constructed in two parts, namely from L-shaped angled wall legs 9 and 10, which are connected to one another via pipe guides 14.
  • the pipe guides 14 stabilize the frame profile and, as already described, serve as a guide for screws that hold the wall leg 4 of the cladding on the frame profile.
  • the wall legs 9 and 10 of the base profile part are each connected to the holding profile 8 via one leg of their L-profile.
  • the frame profile is constructed from a base profile part 7 and a holding profile part 8.
  • This frame profile is comparable to the embodiment according to FIGS. 2a and 2b; but it has a simpler structure since multiple folding in the connection area between the base profile part 7 and the holding profile part 8 is avoided.
  • the advantage of the door frame is that, due to the wood cladding, it has a corresponding external appearance and at the same time also withstands greater mechanical loads.
