Abstract
Bei einem Verfahren zum Giessen eines Stranges,
insbesondere aus Aluminium oder einer Aluminium
legierung, durch eine Giesskokille unter Kühlung des ent
stehenden Stranges mittels Kohlendioxid enthaltendem
Wasser wird die dem Wasser zugesetzte Menge an Kohlen
dioxid während des Anfahrvorganges konstant gehalten,
jedoch seine Konzentration innerhalb des Kühlmittels durch
Erhöhung des Wasserzuflusses vermindert. Gleichzeitig wird
der thermische Kontakt zwischen Strangoberfläche und
Kühlwasser erhöht.
Die Zufuhr des Kohlendioxids soll nach dem Anfahrvor
gang oder nach Unterschreiten eines bestimmten Kohlendi
oxidkonzentrationswertes unterbrochen werden.
