  • a press for squeezing wet mop covers is known from GB-A-2 011 249.
  • This press has a base and a cover with an elastic covering, and the wet mop cover is inserted between the base and cover and pressed against the base by pressing the cover.
  • the invention is based on the object of improving the water drainage through the floor in a flat press of the type mentioned.
  • the floor is provided with a covering made of an elastic material, that the covering has through holes whose hole pattern matches the hole pattern of the holes in the ground, and that the surface of the covering consists of an essentially water-impermeable or Water not absorbing layer is formed.
  • the covering preferably consists of a plate made of rubber, in particular foam rubber, which is adapted to the shape and size of the floor.
  • the lid is expediently also provided on its underside with a covering made of an elastic material, which consists of a plate made of rubber, in particular foam rubber, adapted to the shape and size of the cover, the surface of the covering consisting of an essentially water-impermeable or non-water-absorbent Layer is formed.
  • the thickness of the covering can be about 0.5-10.0 cm.
  • the lid is advantageously pivotable relative to the floor by means of at least one lever which is rotatably mounted on the lid and which is designed as a two-arm angle lever, the end of one of the two lever arms being supported lengthways on a side wall which is firmly connected to the floor and on which a rolling curve is formed which rolls the end of this lever arm provided with a roller during the actuation of the lever.
  • the lever can be returned to its starting position by means of a return spring.
  • Fig. 1 shows schematically a flat press 10 with a bottom 12, e.g. made of aluminum sheet, in which through holes 14 are formed for the discharge of the water that is squeezed out of the wet covers.
  • a bottom 12 e.g. made of aluminum sheet
  • through holes 14 are formed for the discharge of the water that is squeezed out of the wet covers.
  • Fixed to the floor 12 are two side walls 16, in which an axis 18 running transversely to them is mounted and held.
  • a cover 20 is pivotally mounted on the axis 18.
  • Fig. 1 shows the flat press 10 at rest, i.e. in the unactuated state, in which the cover 20 extends at an acute angle to the base 12, so that an approximately rectangular mouth opening for inserting wet mop covers is formed at the front end of the flat press 10 between the cover 20 and base 12.
  • the bottom 12 is on its top facing the lid with a covering 22 made of an elastic material, e.g. Polyurethane provided, which in the described embodiment consists of a plate made of foam rubber or foam rubber, which is provided with through holes 24, the hole pattern of which practically matches the hole pattern of the holes 14 in the base 12.
  • the plate 22 may have a thickness of about 0.5-10.0 cm, but is not limited to this.
  • the shape and size of the plate 22 are adapted to the bottom 12.
  • the rubber sheet 22 can be attached to the floor 12 in any suitable manner, e.g. by screws, strips, by gluing, or it can also only be inserted and held on its front end by a corresponding (not shown) edge or collar of the bottom 12.
  • the rubber sheet 22 can be made of a porous foam rubber or foam rubber, but its surface is formed from a substantially water-impermeable or water-non-absorbent layer, i.e. a thin (1-2 mm thick) rubber layer with a smooth, essentially non-porous surface.
  • a covering 60 made of an elastic material can expediently also be attached to the underside of the cover 20 facing the floor, which, like the covering 22, can consist of a rubber plate of the same type as the plate 22, but the covering 60 does not have holes is.
  • the covering 60 is adapted to the size and shape of the cover 20 and is suitably fastened to it, for example by means of suitable screws and strips, or also by gluing using commercially available, water-resistant synthetic resin adhesives.
  • a bracket 26 e.g. made of tubular material, which has a handle bar 28, to which legs 30 adjoin on both sides, which in the embodiment shown are bent approximately at right angles to the handle bar 28.
  • Each of the legs 30 is designed in the form of an angle lever, consisting of a lever arm 32 and a lever arm 34.
  • the two lever arms 32 and 34 form an angle of 90 ° in the embodiment shown, but are not limited to this.
  • a bearing journal 36 is fixedly connected to each of the two lever arms 32 and extends inwards and parallel to the lever arm 32 and parallel to the front end face of the cover 20.
  • Each of the two journals 36 is rotatably mounted in a bearing block 58 assigned to it, as will be explained with reference to FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 2 shows the cover 20 in an oblique view, the cover 20 in FIG. 1 still being covered by a hood (not designated in any more detail).
  • the lid 20 consists of a shaped plate 80, e.g. made of aluminum, on the upper side facing away from the floor, a U-shaped tab 38 is attached to each of the two front, outer ends, each of which has two bearing bores 40, the axis of which runs parallel to the front end face 62 of the cover 20.
  • a shaped plate 80 e.g. made of aluminum
  • the bearing pin 36 which is firmly connected to the lever arm 32 of the bracket 26, is rotatably mounted in the bores of the bracket 38.
  • a return spring 42 in the form of a helical tension spring, one end of which is hooked into a web 64 of the tab 38, while the other end, e.g. is attached to the periphery of the journal 36 by means of a screw, so that the return spring 42 is tensioned when the journal 36 is rotated, which is the case when the bracket 26 is pivoted to close the flat press 10.
  • the U-shaped tabs 38 according to FIG. 2 form the bearing blocks 58 according to FIG. 1.
  • the cover 20 is provided at its rear end on each side with a bearing plate 66 with a bearing bore 68 through which the axis 18 extends, which, as will be explained, is mounted in the side walls 16.
  • the cover 20 is thus mounted on the axis 18 and pivotable about this.
  • the tabs 72 and tabs 38 are with the cover 20 e.g. welded or screwed.
  • Fig. 4 shows an oblique view of one of the two side walls 16.
  • the side wall 16 in the embodiment shown is e.g. formed with two shells, with an inner wall 76 and an unspecified outer wall.
  • the bearing bore 84 is formed for the axis 18 and the latter is provided in the example described with a head 74 which lies between the two walls of the side wall 16 and is held by this in the axial direction, whereby the axis 18 is fixed in the axial direction is.
  • each of the two side walls 16 is provided with a cam curve or rolling curve 46 for the roller 44 of the lever arm 34 of the bracket 26.
  • the lifting arm 32 lies against the end face 56 of the side wall 16 which is curved approximately in the shape of an arc.
  • the roller 44 is not yet in contact with the rolling curve 46. If the bracket 26 is now pivoted about its journal 36, the roller 44 comes into contact with the rolling curve 46 in the region of the bend 86 and then runs when the bracket 26 is pivoted further and along a pressure section 50.
  • the bracket 26 can now be pivoted at most until the lower end face 78 of the lever arm 32 (FIG. 2) abuts against a stop 48 formed in the rolling curve 46 (if necessary, the curved part could also end of the pressure section 50 can be used as a stop for the end position of the bracket, in which case the roller 44 would strike this curved part).
  • the cover 20 has a channel-shaped or rib-shaped recess 54 pointing upward from the floor approximately in the middle (seen in the width direction).
  • This recess 54 serves on the one hand to stiffen the cover and several ribs of this or similar shape can also be provided for this purpose ,
  • the recess 54 shown also has the purpose of receiving the handle of the wet mop cover when inserting the latter, so that the pressing of the actual wet mop cover is not hindered by the handle.
  • bracket 26 If the bracket 26 is released by the operator, it is returned to its initial position by its return springs 42 and the cover 20 by its return springs 52.
  • the pressing force can be changed, for example, by changing the diameter of the rollers 44, or by increasing the pressure section 50 of the rolling curve 46, i.e. its distance to the roll is reduced.
  • the flat press according to the invention makes it possible to achieve a very high degree of dryness when squeezing wet mop covers.
  • the cover 20 can optionally have a shoulder 88 pointing upwards away from the floor to accommodate the holding of the covers during the pressing-out process.
