Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pack of foam sealing strips according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • a well-known form of storage is the winding roll.
  • the packaging wall holding the sealing strip in a compressed state there consists of a carrier strip which is also coiled.
  • the latter is located on the back of the sealing strip, which is equipped with a self-adhesive layer, and is prepared on both sides to make it non-stick.
  • Corresponding sealing strips can be conveniently inserted into the joint to be closed due to the slowly occurring reset. The restoring force brings a particularly adaptable system to the joint walls. Chlorine paraffin is used as a reset delay. In the case of smaller cross-sections of sealing strips, keeping them ready in the compressed state is no problem. Only with larger cross-sections, for example for hand-wide joint fillings, does it become difficult.
  • the object of the invention is to produce a simple,. Finding an advantageous use pack for compressed foam sealing strips, by means of which sealing strips can be kept in a condition suitable for use even for joints of above-average size, for example those in which the final reset height is a multiple of the strip width.
  • a generic pack of particularly high utility value is created: even cross-sectional sealing strips can thus be held in a compulsory manner while ensuring the state of compression between the rigid strips. Even at room temperatures, packaging pressures occur which change the resetting characteristics so that over a period of more than twelve hours there is initially only a very slight resetting, which then accelerates exponentially. This means there is no time pressure when laying, even corrections are still possible, for example by inserting a differently dimensioned sealing strip. The other can be placed between the strips again and secured. The final reset height of the sealing strip corresponds to a multiple of its width. This way, larger gaps can be closed safely.
  • an embodiment which is also advantageous in this respect and in particular also only avoids a partial “swelling out” is that the sealing strip is multi-layered and the final reset height of each layer is smaller than the strip width.
  • the layers rest on each other over a wide area. They can also be impregnated more quickly. Storage and transportation are extremely space-saving.
  • the sealing strip is ready for use at any place. All that is required is to loosen the strapping that binds the strips.
  • Such strapping can consist of commercially available, for example metal strapping tapes. Due to the delayed resetting, there is also no need for special, usually complicated, strapping devices. A simple handset is sufficient to connect the ends of the tape using the usual sheet metal clamp. The gradual resetting leads to a more snug, firm strap wrap.
  • the sealing strip 1 which is kept in a compressed state until use by means of a pack V, is made of foam. This is open pore. Its cell walls are lined with chlorinated paraffin in an impregnation process. In the compressed state, the cell walls or parts thereof adhere to one another, the framework webs of the foam being oriented essentially transversely to the direction of compression P. There is a noticeable delay with regard to the resetting, which, depending on the cross-sectional size of the foam sealing strips and the degree of packaging pressure, is within the framework of many hours, in particular more than fifteen hours. Of course, the ambient temperature also plays a role here.
  • the reset end height x 'can reach seven times the compression height x.
  • the compressed state is achieved by means of strips 2 which simultaneously form the pack V. These are resistant to bending and are practically clamping jaws. It is advisable to use wood here.
  • the length of such boards is in the range of 2 or 3 m. Of course, shorter dimensions can also be selected.
  • the width of the strips is 14 cm, their thickness is 2 cm.
  • the sealing strip 1 itself is of a smaller width B, so that the longitudinal side edges 2 'of the strips 2 protrude beyond the broad sides a and b of the strip.
  • the final reset height x 'of the sealing strip 1 is a multiple of the strip width B. In the present case, this is Ratio around 3: 1.
  • the basic compression position of the strips 2 is secured by strapping. It is steel tape as is common in the packaging sector.
  • the ends of the straps 5 wrapping transversely around the strips 2 are closed with the aid of clips 6.
  • These are U-shaped holding elements that can be deformed to form a flat sleeve and are partially deformed transversely to the wrap direction on their narrow longitudinal sides with the aid of a tool (not shown in more detail), with simultaneous deformation of corresponding sections of the strapping ends. The latter are set so that they do not slip. Due to the delayed resetting, strapping can be carried out using simple, commercially available hand-held devices. For this purpose, the pre-compressed sealing strip is simply placed between the two strips. There is enough time to put on all strapping 5 properly.
  • any strapping play is compensated for by the gradual onset of the provision.
  • the corner portions 5 'of the strapping 5 are pressed under rounds of these zones. This results in niches 7 corresponding to the strapping bandwidth, as a result of which the strapping is also secured in a longitudinally displaceable manner.
  • Unpacking is completely safe. since there is no spontaneous resilient restoring force. To do this, the strapping only needs to be severed. The latter can be carried out conveniently either from one side or the other, according to the free spaces 4 left on the narrow longitudinal sides of the pack V. The same free spaces also contribute to easier handling, i. H. Touch pack V at. Thus, the longitudinal side edges 2 'of one or the other bar 2 can optionally be encompassed, with the end members of the fingers inserting into the free spaces 4.
  • this can be composed of several layers 1 '.
  • eight individual strips with identical dimensions are superimposed on one another.
  • the connecting joints have the reference symbol F. They can be designed as adhesive joints.
  • the impregnating agent already has a certain, sufficient adhesive effect.
  • the final rest height of the layers 1 'of such a strip laminate is smaller than the strip width B. The ratio is approximately 1: 3.
  • the lower layer 9 extends over the entire width of the strip.
  • it is so-called wax paper.
  • This is fixed to the lower bar 2 by means of a self-adhesive.
  • the basic compression position of the strips 2 is secured by strapping 5. It is steel tape as is common in the packaging sector. The ends of the straps 5 wrapping transversely around the strips 2 are closed with the aid of clips 6.
  • U-shaped holding elements which can be deformed to form a flat sleeve and are partially deformed transversely to the wrap direction on their narrow longitudinal sides with the aid of a tool (not shown in more detail), with simultaneous deformation of corresponding sections of the strapping ends.
  • the latter are set so that they do not slip.
  • strapping can be carried out using simple, commercially available hand-held devices.
  • the pre-compressed sealing strip is simply placed between the two strips. There is enough time to put on all strapping 5 properly. Any strapping play is compensated for by the gradual onset of the provision.
  • the corner portion 5 'of the strapping 5 is pressed under rounds of these zones. This creates the back on the strapping strip side.
  • the upper layer 8 it is a lamination as backing paper, as is already used in the production of the sealing strip 1, that is to say from the start.
  • Such a layer serves as a protective strip of a self-adhesive layer K. After the protective strip has been removed, this side can be in an adhesive bond with one wall of the joint to be filled. On the other broad side, the strip can initially remain in adhesive connection with the sealing strips, so that this strip serves as an insertion tool. By levering the strip back, the adhesive layer K can be pressed firmly against the joint wall in question. Then this bar can be easily removed from the joint again due to the anti-adhesive layer 9. The fixed sealing strip resets while closing the joint.
  • the front end of the sealing strip 1 protrudes a short distance y above the front ends 2 "of the strips 2.
  • Such a projection can be used as a shock-absorbing means Cut off the section using the front ends 2 "as a cutting template. This fresh cut surface allows a clean connection to the front end of the next sealing strip, using the impregnating agent which has a certain adhesiveness. Since the sealing strip is not compressed in the longitudinal direction, there is no lip-like protrusion on the visible side of the joint filling.
