Definitions

  • the invention relates to an arrangement for controlling the water supply to a tap with at least one water supply line and at least one control valve inserted into it and controllable by a perception device arranged near the tap, which opens upon perception of a person staying at the tap and when not perceived of people closes.
  • DE-GM 77 05 616 describes a mixer tap which is opened or closed by means of a sensor or a light barrier, via control and amplifier electronics and a solenoid valve controlled by the latter and regulating the water supply. Solenoid valves of this type are used in washing machines and dishwashers, but also in optoelectronically controlled sanitary fittings.
  • the perception device is arranged on a mounting element which can be retrofitted to the tap.
  • this mounting element should be a ring which encloses the fitting of the tap and can be fastened together with it.
  • FIG. 2 shows an enlarged illustration of the parts of the arrangement according to FIG. 1 essential to the invention
  • 3 shows a top view of a washstand with the arrangement according to the invention
  • FIG. 4 shows a top view of a mounting ring according to the invention.
  • the arrangement according to the invention has, according to FIG. 1, essentially three parts in a location-separate design, namely a perception device 3, an amplifier element 15 and a solenoid valve 17. This makes it possible to open or close the water supply in washbasins with under-table boilers The need to use a solenoid valve, since the cold water supply line for the under-table boiler and the mixer tap can be opened and closed at the same time with just one solenoid valve.
  • the present subject matter of the invention is also suitable for controlling the water supply when hot water is supplied by pressureless (open) under-table boilers, because the water supply to the under-table boiler is controlled directly by the location-separate arrangement of the solenoid valve.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 To mount the perception device 3, which can consist of an opto-electronic sensor head, a first annular mounting element 4, which serves to accommodate the perception device 3, is pushed. Via a fastening thread 2 formed on a conventional mixer tap 1. This unit 1, 2, 3 is then introduced in a known manner into a mounting hole 5 provided on a washstand 6. As the next process, a second mounting ring 7 is pushed from the underside of the wash basin 6 over the water supply line 8, 9 and over the fastening thread 2 of the mixer tap 1 and fastened to the first mounting element 4 by means of two screws 10 which can be screwed into threaded bores 11.
  • the mixer tap 1 can then be screwed to an originally existing retaining nut 12 and the fastening thread 2. Then the perception device or sensor head is inserted . 3. A connecting cable or an optical fiber line 14 can be drawn between the perception device 3 and an amplifier unit 15 into a bore or groove 13 provided for this purpose. The one already connected -. -
  • Perception device 3 is now inserted into a prefabricated recess 16 provided in the first mounting element 4, where it is protected against mechanical damage and fastened in a watertight manner. Finally, the connecting cable 14 with the amplifier unit 15 and the solenoid valve 17 can be installed in a known manner.
  • a solenoid valve 17 is installed in the main supply line of the water supply line 8 between a shut-off valve 19 and a branch 20 for the water supply line 8 of the mixer tap 1 and an under-table boiler 18.
  • a signal is sent via the perception device 3 to the amplifier unit 15, which then switches the solenoid valve 17 to the flow position via a relay, so that the water inflow to the mixer tap or to the tap 1 is released.
  • the regulation of the water outlet quantity and the mixing ratio between hot and cold water takes place via the conventional mixer tap 1.
  • the solenoid valve 17 for releasing the water flow only opens when the user holds his hands in the vicinity of the water jet flowing out of the mixer tap or tap 1. As soon as the user leaves the area of the water jet, the solenoid valve 17 closes automatically after the amplifier unit 15 has received a signal for this, which detects this fact.
  • tapping points or sanitary fittings 1 controlled by a perception device 3 offer the advantage of saving water if, after the user leaves, no water is actually required.
  • the arrangement according to the invention can also be advantageously used with contact-free Fitting or working fittings in sterile rooms, chemical laboratories, sick rooms, isolation stations, operating theaters, medical practices and wherever high demands are placed on hygiene, such as in the food and luxury food processing industry.
  • the user is then not forced to touch with his previously soiled and subsequently cleaned hands an operating element of the tap 1 which regulates the water supply and which may have previously been infected with pathogens by other people or contaminated by health-threatening, for example caustic chemicals is.
  • the arrangement according to the invention has the great advantage that, because it consists of only a few parts, it can be produced at low cost and at every conceivable tap, such as taps on washbasins, in worker washrooms, in shower cubicles especially public bathing establishments, where it is known that a lot of hot water is wasted unnecessarily, in laboratories, in the medical field, in water-consuming industries, garden centers, etc. It can also be upgraded at any time in existing systems in all of the above-mentioned areas with simple means, without the need for costly structural measures or lengthy installation work.
