Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a heat exchanger in sandwich construction with an insulating layer, a thin outer layer connected thereto by gluing or welding, and flow channels arranged between the outer layer and the insulating layer.
  • the outer layer consists of a thin metal foil, in which groove-like or wave-like impressions are arranged to form flow channels.
  • This metal foil provided with embossments is glued to an essentially flat insulating plate to form the heat exchanger. This method of production has certain difficulties, especially when the metal foil provided with embossments is very thin.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a method with which heat exchangers, in particular those which absorb heat from the ambient air and from solar radiation, can be produced in an economical manner.
  • a filling core is produced in accordance with the cavity of the desired flow channels and the insulating material of the insulating layer is formed around this filling core against the inside of the outer layer and the material of the filling core is expelled after the insulating layer has hardened.
  • the heat exchanger produced in this way can be designed in particular as a facade component. In this function, it serves on the one hand for insulation and design of the facade, but on the other hand also as a heat exchanger, with the help of which energy can be absorbed or also given off.
  • the filling core required to form the flow channels can be produced, for example, from wax or wax-like plastics and, after the insulating layer has hardened, can be expelled under the action of heat.
  • the filling core can also consist of salts or other substances which can be driven out, for example, under the action of chemicals.
  • the filling core can be formed from two tightly connected foils which form the flow channels, which is filled with a liquid and which is provided in the area outside the flow channels with recesses through which the insulating layer connects to the outer layer .
  • the liquid can be drained off.
  • the insulating layer consists of a foam plastic, it may be expedient to introduce the liquid only during the foaming phase of the insulating layer. This enables the foam plastic to be compressed in the region of the flow channels.

  • similar parts are provided with the same reference symbols.
  • the outer layer 1 consists of a plastic film which is reinforced by a metal insert 10. Between this outer layer 1 and an insulating layer 2, a filling core 3 made of an expellable material, for example wax, is arranged.
  • This filling core 3 is designed as a thin plate which is provided with recesses 5 through which the insulating layer 2 connects to the outer layer 1.
  • the plate-shaped filling core 3 is also reinforced by means of a grid-like metal mesh 4. Through this metal mesh, the otherwise sensitive filling core can be easily transported and arranged between the insulating layer 2 and the outer layer 1.
  • the insulating layer 2 is formed around the filling core 3.
  • the insulating layer 2 connects to the outer layer 1. After the insulating layer 2 has hardened, the filling core 3 is expelled by applying heat.
  • the metal insert 10 or the lattice-like fabric 4 of the filling core can be used as an electrical resistance in order to melt the material of the filling core 3.
  • the filling core 3 is also designed as a plate which is provided with recesses.
  • the outer layer 1 consists of a metal plate 1 which has incisions or the like in the area of the recesses of the filling core 3, so that when the insulating layer 2 is foamed or molded, material of the insulating layer 2 penetrates through the incisions or recesses in the metallic outer layer 1 and forms so-called hole anchors 8 which firmly connect the metal plate 1 to the insulating layer 2.
  • metallic outer layer 1 are heated.
  • the filling core 3 consists of two interconnected foils 6, which are not glued together in the area of the interference channels, but are instead filled with a liquid there. Between the flow channels 6 recesses 7 are arranged in the interconnected foils, through which the insulating plate 2 connects to the outer layer 1.
  • filling cores 3 and outer layers 1 are arranged on both sides of the insulating layer 2.
  • Sheet metal anchors 9 are welded onto the inside of the metallic outer layer 1, which on the one hand hold the filling core 3 and on the other hand anchor themselves in the insulating layer 2.
  • the material of this insulating layer penetrates around the sheet metal brackets 9 and thus reliably connects the outer layer 1 to the insulating layer 2.
  • the edges 11 of the two metallic outer layers 1 are sealed together.
  • This welding can be carried out after the insulating layer 2 has been shaped and hardened. However, it is also possible to carry out this welding before the insulating layer 2 is shaped or foamed. In the latter case, the foam plastic or the material of the insulating layer must be introduced through an opening in the outer layer 1.
  • anchor pins 9 are attached to the inside of the outer layers 1 and anchor themselves in the material of the insulating layer 2.
  • the heat exchangers according to FIGS. 4 and 5 can be operated in the single-circuit system with two connecting pieces, but also in the two-circuit system with four connecting pieces.
  • the filling core 3, just like in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, is formed by a plastic sleeve 6 which is filled with a liquid. is. The liquid can be introduced into the casing 6 before or during the foaming phase.
  • the channels formed in the heat exchangers correspond to the shape of the filling core 3 introduced.
  • This filling core 3 can be designed in the form of a lattice or in the form of a meander.
  • the mouldable material can be applied to a grid-like fabric which, after the insulating layer has been formed, is penetrated by the material of the insulating layer.
  • the insulating layer can be adjusted and provided with reinforcement inserts that it not only has an insulating, but in particular also a supporting function.
  • the insulating layer can be made of a foam plastic, but it can also consist of a fiber-reinforced plastic.
  • the outer layer consists of a plastic film, then it is advantageous to introduce a metal insert made of metal fibers or fabric into this film to improve the thermal conductivity.
