- the invention relates to a method and an apparatus for strapping rectangular bales, in particular fiber bales with the aid of band-shaped strapping material, preferably strapping wire. It is known to press fibers as raw material after fiber production into fiber bales and to hold them together with the help of strapping wire. Here, several strapping wires are placed in individual turns around the bale and connected to each other at their ends. This type of strapping is complex and should be simplified.
