Description

Stand der TechnikState of the art

(Siehe hierzu "Bosch, Technische Unterrichtung, L-Jetronic vom April 1981, Seite 16 und 17).The invention relates to an electronic device for generating a fuel metering signal according to the preamble of the main claim. In known systems, a basic injection signal is formed as a function of speed and load, which is then corrected, inter alia, as a function of the battery voltage. This is because the pull-in time of injection valves depends very much on the battery voltage. A resulting delay in the response of the injection valves would result in an injection duration that is too short and thus an injection quantity that is too small without electronic voltage correction. The lower the battery voltage, the less fuel the internal combustion engine would get. For this reason, a low operating voltage, for example during and after a cold start with a strongly discharged battery, must be replaced by a accordingly selected extension of the load and speed-dependent basic injection time are compensated so that the internal combustion engine gets the correct amount of fuel. (See "Bosch, Technical Instruction, L-Jetronic from April 1981, pages 16 and 17).

In known systems, the additively acting voltage correction is generated by means of a characteristic curve and is regarded as a separate correction variable.

It has now been shown that in some operating areas this voltage correction does not work optimally due to selective mismatches. One of the objects of the invention is therefore to provide a device for the battery voltage correction of fuel metering signals, which provides optimum values over the entire spectrum of the operating parameters.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

With the electronic device according to the invention for generating a fuel metering signal with the features of the main claim, it is possible to carry out the battery voltage correction very precisely and thus actually to supply the desired amount of fuel to the engine. With regard to low pollutant emissions and optimal engine operation, the invention has proven to be extremely efficient.

Zeichnungdrawing

Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing and are described and explained in more detail below. FIG. 1 shows a flow diagram for a Computer-controlled implementation of the invention and FIG. 2 is a block diagram for explaining the invention using a circuit example.

Beschreibung der AusführungsbeispieleDescription of the embodiments

The exemplary embodiments relate to the devices according to the invention in connection with an internal combustion engine with spark ignition and intermittent injection.

Abgeschlossen wird der Programmzyklus durch sein "Ende" (15).The flowchart of FIG. 1 shows roughly the calculation sequence of an injection time signal formed according to the invention. The program should start at A (10). A block 11 follows, which relates to the reading in of the individual control variables xn such as speed, load and temperature. Block 12 is followed by the calculation of a basic injection time tio depending on the control variables xn. A correction variable tv as a function g of the battery voltage and other variables is formed in the subsequent block 13. Finally, block 14 marks the calculation of the overall function for the injection time ti = f (xn, g (UBatt, y)). The program cycle is concluded with its "end" (15).

According to the flowchart in FIG. 1, the correction variable is formed depending on the battery voltage UBatt and including at least one further variable y. This is implemented, for example, by means of a map for the correction variable, with at least one dimension of the correction variable being the battery voltage. This arrangement ensures that the battery voltage correction does not depend solely on the battery voltage, but on at least one further variable can be coordinated. Compared to the pure characteristic control according to the prior art, a significantly refined coordination is possible.

In a certain type of internal combustion engine, the speed has resulted for the further independent variable y when calculating the correction value tv. Good results can also be achieved if the air mass throughput or the basic injection signal tio is used as the variable y, which ultimately corresponds to the quotient of the load and speed (corrected if necessary via temperature values).

In der Korrekturstufe 24 kann dabei das Grurideinspritzsignal additiv und/oder multiplikativ korrigiert werden.FIG. 2 shows at 20 a basic pulse generator stage that receives input variables from a temperature sensor 21, a speed sensor 22 and a load sensor 23. The basic pulse generator stage 20 is followed by a correction stage 24 and finally a symbolically illustrated injection valve 25. A correction signal generator stage is designated by 26, which receives a battery voltage signal as a control variable via a control input 27 and, depending on the selection, at least one of the output variables of the sensors 21 to 23 or the basic injection control stage 20. On the output side, the correction signal generator stage 26 outputs the correction signal tv = g (UBatt, y) to a control input 28 of the correction stage 24. The correction injection signal can be corrected additively and / or multiplicatively in the correction stage 24.

Which variables apart from the battery voltage are used to form the correction signal tv is a question of the individual case of the respective type of internal combustion engine and is expediently determined empirically.

In the simplest version, the correction signal generator stage 26 consists of a three-dimensional map with the independently variable battery voltage and one of the variables speed, load, basic injection time or temperature. As a further possibility, of course, a higher-dimensional map in the correction signal generator stage 25 is possible. It only has to be ensured that the correction variable is influenced not only by the battery voltage, but also by further operating parameters.

Finally, it is possible to directly form the overall function shown in block 14 in FIG. 1, i.e. without performing the previous calculations in blocks 12 and 13, in the event that y does not itself represent a calculated quantity.
