Description

  • La présente invention concerne un nouvel emballage en carton ondulé ou similaire, apte à être déplacé à l'aide de dispositifs de manutention à fourche.
  • Pendant de très nombreuses années, la manutention des conditionnements de grand volume s'est effectuée en utilisant des palettes en bois, que déplaçaient des chariots de manutention à fourche. La nécessité de récupérer les palettes et la phase supplémentaire qu'imposait au processus de manutention la mise en place des emballages sur les palettes ont conduit ensuite à utiliser des conditionnements du type caisse-palettes, dans lesquels la palette en bois ou en matière plastique faisait corps avec l'emballage proprement dit.
  • Ces emballages complexes étant relativement coûteux, on a ensuite cherché à les simplifier en remplaçant la palette solidaire du fond par un fond amovible ou constitué de rabats attenants aux parois latérales, ce fond comprenant sur sa face inférieure des parties formant support, entre lesquelles pouvaient être engagées les dents des fourches des engins de manutention. Les supports attenants au fond étaient constitués, par exemple, par des fourreaux de carton dans lesquels étaient engagés des éléments de renfort, généralement eux aussi en carton et ayant une forme de gouttière à section transversale en V (brevet français n° 1 552 839).
  • C'est à ce type de conditionnement que s'intéresse la présente invention et elle vise à proposer une variante, plus simple à réaliser et moins coûteuse que les emballages usuels de ce genre, du fait d'une moindre consommation du carton ondulé ou d'un matériau similaire dont est constitué l'emballage.
  • A cet effet, l'invention a pour objet un emballage parallélépipédique en carton ondulé ou similaire, dont la base comporte des supports parallèles constitués de fourreaux munis éventuellement d'éléments de renfort, caractérisé en ce que le corps d'emballage comporte à sa partie inférieure des rabats longitudinaux attenants aux parois longitudinales et des rabats transversaux attenants aux parois transversales, lesdits rabats étant disposés perpendiculairement aux parois associées et étant assemblés entre eux de manière à constituer un fond ou à maintenir un fond amovible, lesdits fourreaux étant constitués d'éléments indépendants fixés sur les rabats transversaux ou sur ledit fond amovible entre les rabats longitudinaux.
  • Les fourreaux auront une section rectangulaire ou carrée et pourront ainsi être précollés ou agrafés à plat sur les rabats transversaux du flan de carton dont est issu le corps d'emballage ou sur ledit fond amovible avant montage du corps d'emballage.
  • Les fourreaux pourront être renforcés intérieurement par des éléments de carton en forme de gouttière à section en V, comme dans la technique antérieure, ou par des blocs d'une matière plastique expansée telle qu'une mousse de polystyrène.
  • Suivant les applications de l'emballage, le fond amovible pourra être plan ou comporter lui-même, sur sa face externe, un élément de support parallèle aux fourreaux attenants aux rabats transversaux et constitué soit d'un fourreau indépendant fixé sur le fond, soit d'une partie à section en U du fond.
  • Les dessins schématiquesannexés représentent différentes formes de mise en oeuvre de l'invention. Sur ces dessins :
    • La figure 1 est une vue en plan d'un flan de carton ondulé destiné à la réalisation du corps d'un emballage conforme à l'invention ;
    • La figure 2 représente ce corps d'emballage ;
    • Les figures 3 et 4 représentent deux types de fonds amovibles adaptables à ce corps d'emballage ;
    • Les figures 5 à 10 illustrent d'autres formes de réalisation d'un emballage selon l'invention.
  • Le corps de l'emballage conforme à l'invention a une forme parallélépipédique et comprend, d'une part, deux parois longitudinales 1, auxquelles sont attenantes à leur partie inférieure deux bandes longitudinales 2, rabattues perpendiculairement, et, d'autre part, deux parois transversales 3, munies à leur partie inférieure de deux bandes transversales 4, rabattues perpendiculairement, Une languette 5, attenante à une paroi transversale 3, est collée ou agrafée lors du montage du corps contre la paroi longitudinale 1 contiguë, et les rabats transversaux et longitudinaux peuvent eux-mêmes être éventuellement assemblés entre eux par collage ou agrafage, en laissant subsister un vide à la base du corps d'emballage.
  • Le fond de l'emballage vient prendre appui sur les rabats. Il peut être constitué d'une simple plaque en carton, comme dans les emballages dits "mécanisables", que l'on remplit à partir du haut en abaissant la partie de fond à l'aide d'un vérin, à mesure qu'elle reçoit des couches successives de produits à conditionner.
  • Conformément à l'invention, deux fourreaux 5 à section carrée ou rectangulaire sont fixés sur les rabats transversaux entre les rabats longitudinaux, en vue de servir de supports d'emballage, entre lesquels peut être introduite une fourche d'un engin de manutention. Ces fourreaux peuvent être en carton ou carton ondulé et sont alors renforcés intérieurement soit par des masses 6 d'une mousse de plastique, soit par des éléments de carton en forme de gouttière à section en V, ou encore par tout aurre type de renfort. Dans le cas où les fourreaux 5 sont en carton, ils peuvent avantageusement être préfixés sur les rabats 4 du flan de carton, comme on le voit sur la figure 1, et repliés sur ce flan de manière à permettre le stockage à plat des flans, préalablement au montage des corps d'emballage.
  • On notera la faible quantité de carton nécessitée par les fourreaux 5, ce qui, joint au fait que le flan de carton dont est issu le corps d'emballage ne comporte pratiquement pas de chutes, permet de minimiser le coût de l'emballage. On notera également que les blocs 6 ont une longueur correspondant à la dimension transversale de la base de l'emballage, de sorte qu'ils verrouillent les bandes longitudinales 2 en position rabattue, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de rendre celles-ci solidaires des bandes transversales 6.
  • La partie de fond de l'emballage pourra elle-même comporter une partie formant support.
  • C'est ainsi que, dans le cas de la figure 3, le fond 8 comporte dans sa partie médiane une portion 9 à section transversale en U égale à celle des fourreaux 5, qui fait saillie vers l'extérieur de l'emballage et qui peut recevoir un bloc 6 de renfort. Alternativement (figure 4), un fourreau 5 peut être également collé sur la face externe du fond 10.
  • Dans le cas des figures 5 et 6, les fourreaux 5, au nombre de trois, sont fixés sur la face externe du fond amovible 11, lequel est pincé entre les rabats 2 attenants aux parois longitudinales 1 et les rabats attenants aux parois transversales 3. Comme précédemment, les fourreaux 5 sont rigidifiés à l'aide de blocs 6 d'une matière plastique expansée, qui verrouille les bandes 2 en position rabattue.
  • Sur les figures 7 et 8 est représenté un autre type d'emballage dont les rabats 13 attenants aux parois longitudinales 1 et les rabats 14 attenants aux parois transversales 3 se chevauchent pour former le fond de l'emballage et sont éventuellement assemblés entre eux par collage ou agrafage. Les fourreaux 15 sont fixés sur les rabats transversaux 14 entre des découpes 16 ménagées dans les rabats longitudinaux 13.
  • Les figures9 et 10 illustrent un autre type d'emballage dans lequel le fond de l'emballage est constitué par des rabats 17 attenants aux parois transversales 3 et des rabats 18 attenants aux parois longitudinales 1, avec les fourreaux 19 fixés sur les rabats transversaux 17. Les rabats longitudinaux 18 comprennent des volets 20, articulés sur le corps du rabat par des lignes de pliage parallèles 21 et engagés à l'intérieur de l'emballage au-dessus des rabats 17. Comme précédemment, des renforts 22 en matière plastique expansée sont engagés dans les fourreaux 19 et verrouillent les rabats 18 en position assemblée.
  • L'invention apporte donc un nouveau type d'emballage facile à réaliser et peu coûteux, apte à être déplacé par des engins de manutention à fourche.

Claims (13)

1.- Emballage parallélépipédique en carton ondulé ou similaire dont la base comporte des supports parallèles constitués de fourreaux munis éventuellement d'éléments de renfort, caractérisé en ce que le corps d'emballage comporte à sa partie inférieure des rabats longitudinaux (2) attenants aux parois longitudinales (1) et des rabats transversaux (4) attenants aux parois transversales (3)9 lesdits rabats (2, 4) étant disposés perpendiculairement aux parois associées et étant assemblés entre eux de manière à constituer un fond ou à maintenir un fond amovible, lesdits fourreaux (5) étant constitués d'éléments indépendants, fixés sur les rabats transversaux (4).entre les rabats longitudinaux (2).
2.- Emballage selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que lesdits fourreaux (5) ont une section rectangulaire ou carrée.
3.- Emballage selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que lesdits fourreaux (5) sont en carton ondulé ou similaire et peuvent être repliés à plat contre lesdits rabats transversaux ou ledit fond amovible.
4.- Emballage selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que, de façon connue en soi, lesdits fourreaux (5) sont renforcés intérieurement par des des éléments en carton ondulé ou similaire en forme de gouttière à section en V.
5.- Emballage selon l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que lesdits fourreaux sont renforcés intérieurement par des blocs (6) d'une mousse de matière plastique telle que du polystyrène expansé.
6.- Emballage selon l'une des revendications 5 et 6, caractérisé en ce que ledit élément de renfort a une longueur égale à celle des parois transversales.
7.- Emballage selon l'une des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un fond amovible présentant sur sa face externe un élément de support parallèle à des fourreaux (5) portés par.des rabats attenants aux parois transversales.
8.- Emballage selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce que ledit élément de support dudit fond (8) est constitué par une partie à section en U dudit fond.
9.- Emballage selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce que ledit élément de support dudit fond (10) est constitué par un fourreau (5) indépendant, fixé sur ledit fond.
10.- Emballage selon l'une des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un fond amovible pincé entre des rabats attenants aux parois longitudinales et des parois attenantes aux parois transversales et en ce qu'il comporte une pluralité de fourreaux fixés sur ledit fond parallèlement aux parois transversales.
11.- Emballage selon l'une des revendications 7 à 10, caractérisé en ce que lesdits éléments de supports ou lesdits fourreaux dudit fond comportent un renfort intérieur.
12.- Emballage selon la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce que le renfort de l'élément du support dudit fond est en carton ondulé ou similaire et a une forme de gouttière à section en V.
13.- Emballage selon la revendication 9, caractérisé en ce que le renfort de l'élément de support dudit fond est un bloc d'une mousse de matière plastique telle que le polystyrène expansé.
