Definitions

  • the invention relates to an image holder with a front-side frame member enclosing at least one image window, as well as a back plate fixed against this for the purpose of securing the position of an image that can be placed behind the image window.
  • Every hobby photographer has the need to have some particularly successful photos of one or the other film present for a while as a solid wall decoration and to be able to change these photos effortlessly on the basis of the next good film result.
  • the object of the invention is to refine an image holder of the type mentioned at the outset with the simplest possible means in such a way that, on the one hand, it meets the geometric requirements caused by rectangular photos and, on the other hand, the optical requirements to be placed on every decorative object to the greatest possible extent and is also suitable for recording square photos.
  • the invention consists in that the frame organ of the picture holder has a planar view of two picture areas of the same shape and shape, symmetrically crossing in the manner of a Greek cross, with the picture window formed by the crossing rectangular frames when used for rectangular format photos on two parallel sides and, when used for square photos, is also bounded on the sides parallel to these perpendicular ones by a longitudinal bar of the other rectangular frame which is dominated by an end region of a rectangular frame.
  • the rectangular shape of the picture window is expanded to a square basic or envelope shape of the picture unit, without the square shape appearing optically.
  • squares can be attached to one another in such a way that the image window can be aligned transversely or lengthwise for each image unit.
  • the image holder does not appear to be a grouping of squares, but rather an aesthetically surprising network of rectangular frames.
  • the smallest unit is designed as a single-image cassette and is set up on all four sides for a tab-like connection with neighboring cassettes, then the end user can put together solid picture walls of any size and shape according to his own imagination, and each cassette optionally for one Align landscape or portrait rectangular photo.
  • the cassettes are designed in such a way that the photos can be inserted into and removed from the side without removing the back plate or the cassette bandage, so that any photos can be changed quickly and easily.
  • all four longitudinal bars of the intersecting rectangular frames can be made continuous in order to enclose a square picture window between them.
  • the image holder according to FIGS. 1 to 5 has the single-image cassette E. 5, seven such cassettes are combined.
  • Each cassette E consists of the frame member 1 designed as a front plate and the rear plate 2.
  • the front plate 1 On the front side, the front plate 1 has the two symmetrically crossing rectangular frames 1a, 1b, which results in a cruciform plan with a square envelope shape 3.
  • One rectangular frame 1b is interrupted by the other (1a), whereby the rectangular picture window 1c is created in the latter.
  • the transverse bars 1d of the rectangular frames 1a, 1 are narrower than their longitudinal bars 1e.
  • a seat for the rear plate 2 is initially formed in the front plate 1.
  • This has a rectangular plan and extends - filling the interrupted rectangular frame 1 b - transversely to the longitudinal direction of the picture window. It is locked at the steeply marked 4 with the peripheral edge 1f of the front panel 1.
  • the back plate slots 2a facilitate the locking and unlocking process.
  • the back plate 2 In its transverse direction, the back plate 2 is provided with a flat, approximately picture window-wide, together with the front plate 1 the bearing bed 5 for a photo-forming channel to be placed. Since the end regions 5a of the image storage bed 5 are open on the back, i.e.
  • the image (photo) can be inserted into the bed 5 from a side of the image window (in the direction of the arrow P) and removed again. Due to the edge interruption 1h and the arcuate front panel recess 1 i, the edge of the image to be removed can, for. B. with the thumb nail.
  • the inclined surfaces 2c of the rear plate also serve to facilitate image removal.
  • the connecting tabs 6 are used for the mutual fastening of the single-image cassettes E.
  • the rear plate 2 is slowly formed on the rear side of each of the three sides of the rear plate 2, on the rear side enclosed by the web 2d.
  • a convex curvature 2f with a latching opening 2g rises within the seat. This interacts with the projections 6a molded onto the connecting lugs 6 in the manner of a push button. Since the tab seat 2e is not limited locally to a narrow rear plate edge region, but rather occupies a relatively large surface area of the rear plate 2, the connection is extremely stable. With the two webs 6b forming a channel, the connecting lug 6 engages behind corresponding regions of the front plate peripheral edge 1f.
  • the tabs 6c are used to attach a screwdriver or knife for the purpose of unlocking.
  • each slot arrangement consists of three T-shaped slots arranged with respect to one another with a keyhole-like enlarged central area, the middle slot being directed diagonally into the respective corner of the envelope square 3.
  • each cassette can be mounted with a longitudinally or transversely oriented picture window 1c, and that the center of gravity can lie in the center of the cassette (FIG. 5) or on the dividing line between two adjacent cassettes (e.g. with four cassettes forming a square).
  • the cord 7 is not to be fastened as in FIG. 2, but extends from a slot arrangement of a cassette to the adjacent slot arrangement of the neighboring cassette. All these requirements are taken into account in the suspension device.
  • the rectangular frames 1a, 1b of the front panel 1 formed from transparent thermoplastic material are e.g. B applied to these as screen printing or hot foil stamping.
  • the advantages of this image holder are of various kinds.
  • the square envelope shape of the cassettes provided with the rectangular windows 1 allows a problem-free, unlimited combination of cassettes, the window orientation (longitudinal or landscape format) being freely selectable for each cassette.
  • the window orientation (longitudinal or landscape format) being freely selectable for each cassette.
  • only the end regions 1 1 that protrude beyond the longitudinal sides 1 k k of the other rectangular frame 1 remain from the interrupted rectangular frame 1 .
  • a rectangular picture window 1c can be converted into a square picture window 1c 'by attaching the longitudinal bar areas 1e' of the corresponding rectangular frame 1, which adapts equally well to the overall combination. It is also possible, if necessary, to provide the longitudinal beam areas 1e 'subsequently in the form of a correspondingly printed transparent film which is simply pushed into the image storage bed 5. This increases the possible combinations for the user by z. B for the photo standard size of 9 x 13 cm dimensioned image holder as required for 9 x 13 pftotos in longitudinal and / or landscape format and / or for 9 x 9 photos.
  • the picture windows 1 c, 1 c ' lie at least on both sides at a mutual distance. This results in an individual presentation of each picture window 1c, 1c 'within and despite the group arrangement, that is to say pictures Nevertheless, picture windows 1c, 1c' are connected to one another in a dignified manner (through the inevitably resulting association which resembles a simple braid).
  • the simple suspension device in the form of the slot arrangements 2i takes into account every possible image holder combination.
  • the pictures with rectangular format can be changed even with the picture holder hanging on the wall.
  • the overall construction requires a minimum of components, material and assembly.
  • the wide longitudinal bars 1 e of the rectangular frames 1a, 1b are well suited for a wide variety of graphic designs.
  • the dashed representation 2k in FIG. 3 it is possible to form at least one spring 2k against the front plate 1 with slight pressure against the rear plate 2. This makes it possible to completely interrupt the peripheral edge 1f in an image window end region for the purpose of an even easier photo change. Furthermore, the spring 2k would center a square photo and a photo with considerable undersize.
  • the cross shape has a stabilizing effect, in particular when the frame member is designed as a thin front plate 1.
  • the rectangular frames 1a, 1b enclosing the picture windows 1c, 1c 'and, in the exemplary embodiment, created as a covering for the front panel 1 can, of course, also be constructed in a conventional manner as independent frame bodies, into which transparent panes are inserted from behind to cover the picture windows 1c, 1c' (which of course can also be dispensed with).
  • the exemplary embodiments are only particularly cost-effective implementations which are nevertheless distinguished by a particularly modern style.
  • the image holder according to FIGS. 6 and 7 is composed of the four rails 11 in an alternative construction. Two of the rails are shown as partial lengths (broken at points 11f) to indicate the expansion options of the system.
  • the rails cross in the manner of a simple network. Within their intersection areas they overlap one another, for which purpose they are provided with the channels 11a, 11b running in the transverse direction.
  • the longitudinal rail areas 11g located at the top of the intersection areas are combined with the longitudinally and transversely oriented picture windows 12a, 12b, which - in the manner of the first exemplary embodiment - are enclosed by intersecting rectangular frames 13 well z. B. by means of rows of holes 13a, transverse strips 13b, longitudinal strips 13c or the like.
  • the transverse channels 11b of the longitudinal rail regions 11g are deepened from the mutual support plane 11c for the purpose of forming the image storage beds 14 below their image windows 12a, 12b and expanded on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the rails.
  • the recesses 11d of the longitudinal rail regions 11 located at the rear in the crossing regions serve to implement approximately the same wall thicknesses.
  • bores 11 e are provided in the corners of the intersection areas for self-locking connecting pins, not shown. These could be on the back of the picture holder in addition to attaching a hanging cord or the like. serve, It is of course possible to mold the rails 11 arranged according to the first embodiment for mutual direct locking.
  • an image holder designed for several photos according to the invention can also be provided with a one-piece front plate.
  • the front plate 21 is designed on the front according to FIG. 6 and provided with four picture windows.
  • the front plate 21 has the peripheral edge 21a, the separating webs 21b and the central web 21c forming a square.
  • the storage beds 23 for the photos 22 shown in broken lines lie in the direction of the arrows which also indicate the insertion directions for the photos.
  • the back plate 24 is also in one piece and leaves the outer end regions 23a of the bearing beds free so that the photos 22 can be inserted and removed from the side.
  • a clamping projections 25 are formed on the back of the peripheral edge 21 . Between these rests an elastic cord 26, which runs on the rear side of the back plate 24 and is self-clamping. The cord region 26a is used for suspension.
