Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tunnel washing vehicle with a brush arm according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a tunnel washing vehicle with a brush arm is known from AT-A-344 232 and FR-A-2 338 350.
  • a washing liquid required for cleaning can be applied to the tunnel wall either with the aid of separate spray or spray nozzles or through the brush itself and, if necessary, rinsing can be rinsed with the brush.
  • Brushes with highly flexible, long trimmings are used, the stiffness of which changes with the speed of the brush, so that even with a cylindrical basic shape of the brush, it is possible to match the tunnel curvature.
  • the axis of rotation of the roller brush lies essentially on the chord of the curve of the tunnel.
  • the brush is adjusted to a specific strip of the tunnel wall with the help of the brush arm by swiveling around the two axes on the holder and usually with the aid of a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder-piston unit which serves to swivel the vertical axis with an adjustable, medium working pressure against the wall pressed.
  • a control device is known which enables precise setting of the contact pressure and rapid evasion of obstacles by swiveling the brush arm back.
  • the brush can be freely pivoted about the longitudinal axis of the arm.
  • the described construction of the brush arm has proven itself in practice when cleaning tunnels of normal height, for example up to 4.5 m.
  • tunnels with greater heights for example tunnels of city motorways and supporting walls, ceiling heights of 7m and supporting wall heights of 8m occur.
  • Difficulties arise when using a brush boom of the type mentioned at the outset when the booms are pivoted onto the vehicle in the transport position. Only in the case of very long vehicles does the boom not protrude too far back over the vehicle and additional supports for the boom are necessary during the transport journey.
  • Another fundamental disadvantage of brush arms of the type mentioned at the outset results from the fact that in these known arms the roller brush is in principle arranged normally to the longitudinal direction of the arm.
  • the roller brush is no longer approximately perpendicular to the direction of travel of the vehicle and thus to the direction in which the brush is adjusted along the tunnel wall or the like during the washing process. Therefore, only a wall strip of the tunnel corresponding in its width to the projection of the brush axis onto a plane drawn perpendicular to the tunnel axis is washed, which is much narrower than the brush length.
  • a brush boom is known in which the boom in the manner of a mobile crane consists of several arms articulated to one another by transverse axes, hydraulic cylinder-piston units being provided for the pivoting adjustment of the strung arms around the joints.
  • the working length of the boom can be adjusted here by bending the arms towards each other to a greater or lesser extent.
  • the overall construction is extremely complex and usually an own operator is used to operate the brush arm.
  • a partial area of an outer housing of the boom forms the working cylinder of a piston drive, in which an annular piston can be adjusted in length by stops.
  • the ring piston is connected to an extendable section of the boom formed by a tube, which section is guided with wedges on a keyway of another tube, which can be driven by an oil motor attached laterally to the boom via an external pinion via a drive chain, so that the brush can be adjusted by turning it around the longitudinal axis of the boom.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a tunnel washing vehicle which, despite maintaining a simple construction of the brush arm and simple operability, is also suitable for use at large working heights.
  • the boom length and the relative swivel position of the roller brush around the longitudinal axis of the boom can be adjusted from the driver's cab of the washing vehicle via a remote control, so that the roller brush can be precisely adjusted to the desired, even with changing crown heights of tunnels, underpasses, etc. the current washing process can be adjusted strips without having to leave the cab or work on the boom itself.
  • the cylinder-piston unit forms one or the load-bearing component of the boom. Brushes can also be used, the focus of which is not on the longitudinal axis of the boom.
  • the overload clutch prevents damage from bending connecting parts or overloading the actuator, for example if the roller brush hits one end of a tunnel wall or an obstacle.
  • the design according to claim 6 makes it possible to set the roller brush exactly at right angles to the washing direction even with the boom set steeply, so that the full brush length is effective for the width of the washing strip. Conversely, in the case of a very strongly arched tunnel, the width of the washing strip can be reduced by adjusting the brush from the transverse position.
  • a washing vehicle 1 which is designed as a truck with tank 2.
  • a standing column 3 is provided on the vehicle, which can be remotely rotated about its vertical axis via a hydraulic or pneumatic drive (not shown).
  • this pedestal 3 carries a transverse axis 4, around which a e.g. trough-shaped support piece 5 by means of a hydraulic or pneumatic piston drive, also not shown, which is supported with the second end on the column 3, can be pivoted up and down.
  • the boom consisting of a cylinder-piston unit 6, 7, shown shortened in FIG. 2 of the drawing, can be pivoted out into an operating position at an acute angle to the washing vehicle 1 while pivoting about the axis determined by the column 3 and about the transverse axis 4. If necessary, a single washing vehicle can be equipped with one or more brush arms on corresponding columns 3.
  • the cylinder 6 has a reinforced base 8 and is pivotable in the vicinity of this base 8 with the support piece 5 about the axis 4.
  • the piston 7 of the cylinder-piston unit consists of a tube with a stepped outside, the stepped part 9 allowing an extension from the cylinder 6 up to the stop determined by paragraph 10.
  • the cylinder spaces 13, 14 lying on both sides of an end collar 12 of the piston 7 provided with a seal 11 can be acted upon hydraulically via lines (not shown) and shut-off elements which can be operated remotely from the driver's cab of the washing vehicle 1 in the direction of retraction or extension of the piston 7.
  • a support plate 15 on which a brush holder 17 can be pivoted about a transverse axis 16, the pivoting position of the brush holder 17 being adjustable by means of a hydraulic actuator 18 which can also be operated remotely.
  • the brush holder 17 can form a fork in a known manner, between the ends of which a roller brush 19 rotatably supports parallel to the holder 17.
  • a hydraulic motor 20 can be provided for driving the roller brush 19.
  • the brush holder 17 can also carry spray nozzles for the supply of washing and rinsing liquid to the brush area.
  • the piston 7 is rotatably supported in the cylinder 6 about the longitudinal axis.
  • a hydraulic servomotor 21 is used which drives a detent coupling 23 via its shaft 22, in which two disks are pressed against one another by a spring 24 and these disks are recesses for have the common inclusion of balls 25. If a torque predetermined by the setting of the spring 24 is exceeded, then the two disks of the detent coupling 23 can rotate when the balls 25, which are preferably contained in a cage, emerge from the detent recesses. If, after such a rotation, the brush holder 17 is pivoted back into the starting position with the brush 19, then the locking is restored.
  • An output shaft 26 of the clutch 23 is rotatable but axially immovable in the bottom 8 of the cylinder 6 stored.
  • the motor 21 is supported with its housing on the holder 5, but can also be fastened to the bottom 8 of the cylinder 6.
  • the shaft 26 has an extension designed as a profile shaft, spline shaft or profile rod 27, with which a bottom part 28 of the piston 7, which has a corresponding opening, is displaceable but non-rotatably engaged, so that the piston 7 rotates from the servomotor 21 via the clutch 23 and so that the brush holder 17 can be pivoted with the brush 19 about the longitudinal axis of the boom.
