Description
The invention relates to a hinge, preferably a furniture hinge, with a hinge arm which can be fastened to a supporting wall or the like and a hinge cup which can be inserted into a recess in the door or flap, each of which is provided with two articulated axes for two links connecting these in an articulated manner, the ends being made of sheet metal strips existing handlebars are rolled up to form bearing eyes encircling the articulated axes.
Such hinges are known in different embodiments. Difficulties arise with such hinges from the arrangement of the two hinge axes in the Hinge cup, in which there is little space, especially when large opening angles of the door and possibly additionally negative closing angles are required or when the hinge cup can only be provided with a small depth due to small door thicknesses.
In order to be able to move the bearing axles for the handlebars closer together in the hinge cup, it is known to profile a handlebar in a U-shape and to store it in the region of its legs only on stub axles fixed to the walls of the housing of the hinge cup, while the other handlebar is open an articulated axis passing through the hinge cup and arranged close to the stub axles is mounted in such a way that it engages between the legs of the handlebars mounted on the stub axles. This type of storage is unfavorable, however, since the walls of the hinge cup, which are usually only thin, cannot provide sufficient support for the axially projecting stub axles. A further disadvantage is, that the U-shaped bent arm only over its wall thickness corresponding bores on the axis - supporting stubs, so that the bearing bores may be cut into the stub axle and oval deform due to abrasion, resulting in undesirable play in the bearing.
In a hinge of the type specified above, which is known from DE-OS 29 26 486, the axle journals are adequately anchored in the housing walls in that they are bent in the manner of a walking stick handle by hinge pins held in the housing walls, so that the hinge pins project into the interior of the housing Axles are held in three holes in the housing.
In this known hinge, however, two hinge pins passing through the hinge cup are again provided, which are arranged offset to the pivot pins angled therefrom are, so that there is no significant space gain through the arrangement of the hinge pins and journals in the hinge cup.
The object of the invention is to provide a hinge of the type mentioned, in which the joint axes held in this can be moved closer together in order to enlarge the opening angle or to flatter the hinge cup.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that one handlebar is formed wider than the other and its bearing eye, which is mounted in the hinge cup or its adjoining area of the handlebar, is provided with an elongated hole-like recess or flattened area in its central area, which faces the other handlebar in the closed position Length corresponds to the width of the other handlebar in the middle in the closed position in the recess or flat. In the hinge according to the invention, the distance between the articulated axles in the hinge cup can be reduced in spite of the cheaper mounting of the handlebars via rolled-up bearing eyes, which lead to better pressure distribution and thus less wear. The recesses or flattenings do not lead to any noteworthy weakening of the cross-section of the handlebars.
The recess is expediently provided in the bearing eye, which is mounted closer to the bottom of the hinge cup.

The hinge partially shown in FIG. 1 consists of a hinge arm 1 bent from a sheet metal blank and fastened to the supporting
Between the

The rolled-up eye 15 of the
In Fig. 1, the door 6 is shown with a so-called negative closing angle, which ensures that good closing can always be achieved.
