Definitions

  • the invention relates to a folding shutter for windows, doors or the like.
  • Such a folding shutter is already known from DE-U 7 419 073 and DE-U 7603048 or AT-B 354 041.
  • the blind bars engage with corresponding slats in recesses in the frame parts in order to be securely and firmly connected to them.
  • the folding shutter and its aluminum blind slats or slats and the closest possible fit to the openings in the frame it is not necessary to slightly compress the ends of the blind rods for insertion into these openings in order to have the cross-section of the blind rods at these ends to make them slightly smaller than these openings to facilitate their entry into the openings with narrow fits. This requires relatively expensive equipment and machines to be purchased.
  • the solution to this problem essentially consists in the fact that at the ends of the blind rods these protruding connecting pieces protrude, the ends of which taper, and that the blind rods engage at least with the projecting ends of the connecting pieces in openings in the frame legs.
  • This makes it possible to avoid having to prepare the blind bars for this purpose with great effort when fitting and inserting them into the frame openings and to insert them into the openings which largely correspond to the outer contour of the blind bars in terms of their clear contour.
  • the mentioned connector is provided on each blind rod on both sides, which can be adapted to the requirements of simple assembly from the outset, so that complex upsetting machines and the like. be avoided.
  • the extensions or connecting pieces engage in the openings of the blind rods at the front and their insertion part protruding therefrom tapers or funnel-shaped away from the cross section of the blind rod.
  • the plugging together of the blind rods or slats with the frame parts is correspondingly easy.
  • the connecting piece is hollow in its longitudinal direction at least in regions, preferably at least in the region of its insertion part. It should also be mentioned that the taper of the connecting piece can also be convex in longitudinal section.
  • the connector can be injection molded from plastic or aluminum. It can be inexpensively manufactured in large quantities and sold, for example, in the hardware trade, so that it can be bought in any number.
  • the openings in the frame legs can expediently be long slots into which the connecting piece preferably fits in a form-fitting manner. In this way, unwanted twisting of the blind bars can be excluded from the outset.
  • the part of the connecting piece which engages in the blind rod can have a roughening, preferably a circumferential groove or toothing, in order to improve the clamping connection on the blind rod.
  • a press fit is expediently provided.
  • the connecting piece can have a shoulder as a stop, the outer contour of which preferably matches that of the blind rod. This creates a smooth, seamless transition from the insertion part to the outside of the blind rod so that it can be inserted into its press fit without any problems.
  • An advantageous embodiment of the invention can consist in that the frame has a stop inside the frame opening for the holding part of the connecting piece for the end face of the connecting piece inserted into the frame. This makes the yes sit lily bars also fixed in the lateral direction. It is advantageous that the connecting piece can be made of plastic, so that it can rest firmly and somewhat resiliently on this stop located inside the frame.
  • Another modified embodiment of the invention may consist in that the blind rods or the like. are shorter than the clear distance between the frame legs holding them and that the connecting piece, which on the one hand grips the blind rod and, on the other hand, fits into the frame opening of the frame legs, engages with both ends of each blind rod in a form-fitting manner.
  • the insertion of the blind rod itself into the frame opening is surprisingly completely avoided, so that the blind rods themselves no longer have to be fitted into the frame openings. Instead, the connector ensures easy insertion on the one hand and a secure fixing of the respective blind rod on the other.
  • folding shutter that can be made of aluminum, so that it is very weather-resistant, but can also be adapted to the respective window by smaller craft businesses, because the associated parts are prefabricated and e.g. can be made available through the accessories trade. Expensive investments that were previously required to manufacture such folding shutters in any manufacturing company can thus be limited to a few larger companies.
  • a folding shutter designated as a whole with 1 in the exemplary embodiment has two hinged wings 2 and is to be made of aluminum.
  • Each wing 2 of this folding shutter 1 has a frame 3 with horizontal and vertical frame legs 4 and 5.
  • the vertical frame legs 5 are connected to one another by cross-sectionally inclined blind rods 6, 6 through-slots remaining between these blind rods according to FIG.
  • each blind bar 6 is provided at each end of each blind bar 6, which on the one hand detects the blind bar 6 and on the other hand fits into a frame opening 7 (FIGS. 4 and 7), the blind bars 6 in FIG. 4 are somewhat shorter than the clear distance between the frame legs 5 holding them and this difference in dimensions is bridged by the connecting pieces 8, while the blind rods according to FIG. 7 themselves are inserted into the frame openings 7, which is very simple due to a tapered insertion part 8c.
  • the connecting piece 8 engages in the interior of the hollow blind rod 6.
  • the holding part 8a (FIG. 4) or insertion part 8c (FIG. 7) of the connecting piece 8 projecting relative to the blind rod 6 or its front end has a taper to facilitate insertion into the frame opening 7.
  • This taper is slightly convex in section according to FIGS. 4 and 5, wedge-shaped or funnel-shaped according to FIG.
  • This connecting piece 8 can be injection molded from plastic or aluminum, that is to say it can be produced in large numbers.
  • FIG. 2 shows the cross-sectional shape of the blind rod 6 and also the corresponding cross-sectional shape of the connecting piece 8 in FIG.
  • the openings 7 in the frame legs 6 can also be elongated slots corresponding to this elongated cross-sectional shape, into which the holding part 8a or insertion part 8c of the connecting piece 8 fits positively, so that unwanted twisting of the blind bars 6 is prevented.
  • the part 8b of the connecting piece 8 which engages in the blind rod 6 can have roughenings, as shown in FIG. 6, circumferential grooves 9 or serrations to improve the connection to the blind rod 6, in order to improve the clamping connection with the blind rod 6 when a press fit is used.
  • the connecting piece 8 On the front side of the blind rod 6, the connecting piece 8 has a shoulder 10 which, according to FIG. 4, serves as a stop for the front end of the blind rod 6 and, in the exemplary embodiment, its outer contour corresponds to that of the blind rod. This makes this connection point near the frame leg 5 practically invisible. The shutter thus retains its attractive appearance, even though the blind bars 6 are shorter than the vertical distance Frame legs 5 are.
  • the frame perforation 7 corresponds to the larger cross section of the connecting piece 8 on its holding part 8a, this holding part 8a also being able to engage in the opening 7 with a press fit.
  • this paragraph 10 is advantageous, since the insertion part 8c and its inclined area leads to the outer contour of the blind rod 6 without transition, so that the insertion of the blind rod 6 into the frame perforation 7, which is tight for a tight fit, is correspondingly simple.
  • the frame leg 5 has one or two stops 11 in its interior behind the frame opening 7 for the holding part 8a or the insertion part 8c of the connecting piece 8, against which the end face of the connecting piece 8 inserted into the frame abuts in the use position. Since this is provided at both ends of the blind rod 6, it sits firmly on the connector 8 on the one hand and the connector 8 also sits firmly on the frame on the other.
