Abstract
The present invention relates to an active substance containing conventional suppositories of conventional suppository base masses, which due to its design, namely with its thickened head and a constriction behind the head, enables a safe introduction into the anus without the risk that the sphincter of the anus can cause the suppository pushed out, and no pushing with the finger is necessary for the introduction, although the special suppository shape allows a reduction of the suppository base mass by approx. 20% and a shortening of the suppository by approx. 10%. The invention further relates to an improved packaging for such anal suppositories.
Description
The present invention relates to an introduction to the rectum, i.e. suppository to be administered rectally, a so-called anal suppository, with improved properties in relation to its introduction into the rectum. The invention further relates to an improved packaging for this.
Im Handel sind häufig Zäpfchen bis 2,5 g.The form of administration of the suppository is a widespread means of administering active ingredients distributed in the suppository base rectally, be it for local treatment in the rectum, either because oral or parenteral administration of the active ingredient is not possible or is not desired. Suppository base composition all counters and are used here, inter alia, cocoa butter, vegetable or animal fats, hydrogenated oils, mixtures of fats, waxes and spermaceti, resin-free ozokerite, paraffin wax, glycerol gelatin and glycerin soap gels or polyethylene oxides, fchengrundmassen p which are solid at room temperature are and soften at body temperature or liquefy and release as the active substances contained in them for absorption through the mucous membranes of the rectum (see Hager's Handbook of pharmaceutical practice, Volume VIIa 4. A ufl, Springer Verlag, 1971, p 644th. F. Gstirner, Introduction to Process Engineering in Pharmaceutical Forming, 5th ed. (1973), Wissenschaftl. Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Stuttgart, pp. 149-151; Der Apotheker-Praktikant, 8th ed. (1967), Wissenschaftl. Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Stuttgart, pp. 189-191). These suppositories are generally torpedo-like in shape today, with the head tapered to facilitate rectal insertion, and the suppository is a little thicker at the head than at the end of the suppository, ie tapering towards the end. According to DAB8-BRD, suppositories for rectal use generally have a weight of approx. 2 g for adults and approx. 1 g for children. Suppositories up to 2.5 g are often on the market.
These previous anal suppositories have the disadvantage that, if they are not inserted far enough rectally and even pushed in with the finger - in an unsanitary way - due to the lubricity of the usual suppository base and the endeavor of the anus sphincter to keep the anus closed, often be expelled again.
For this there is in the previous suppositories, for example with a weight of approx. 2.4 g with the dimensions of 30.5 mm in length, 9.6 mm in diameter at the end of the suppository and 11.7 mm at the widest point of the head with respect to the Tearability of suppository packaging problems. The suppositories are now generally packaged on machines in strip-shaped packagings, with six suppositories lying side by side and separated from one another and the individual suppository packs being able to be separated by perforations between the suppositories. The packaging is formed, for example, from plastic foils in thermoforming machines, each from two superimposed, partially welded foils, so that the shape of the suppository corresponds to the shape of the wells that are open at the lower end, the wells thus formed are filled with the suppository mass and finally also sealed at the lower end . Unsealed tabs are left at the head end. The user disconnects a suppository from the dressing means mounted perforations from, the packaging opened by unfolding of the tabs located on the head and removes the suppository at A the form useinanderreißen generally from the package falls out and is administered by hand. The problems arise because unpacking a suppository on the head end of the packaging suppositories provided A ufreißlaschen remain too narrow in its length for easy tearing at the above length of the suppositories. In order to bring an optimal solution to the packaging for tearing open while maintaining the format-bound parts of the existing filling machines, it would be necessary to make the suppository shorter and thus thicker to maintain the suppository mass. Against a widening of the wider part of the head of the previous torpedo-like suppositories, however, is that the bridge in the strip-shaped packaging that is common today between two suppositories is too narrow to securely and durably close the packaging of the adjacent suppository when one of the suppositories is torn off to keep. Apart from this, there is an argument against the fact that shortened suppositories of torpedo-like shape are even more difficult to insert rectally than suppositories of the stated length, since the sphincter of the anus tends to push the suppository outwards during its continuous closing function and, as is known in this circumstance , the suppository has to slide in the deeper the shorter it is.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an anal suppository that can be inserted into the anus more easily and safely. It is a further object of the present invention to provide such a package for such a suppository that can be opened easily and allows the suppository to be administered without having to be touched.
The suppository according to the invention is characterized in that it has a thickened head and a constriction behind the head, from which the suppository, as usual, tapers towards the end. The head of the Z is advantageous äpfchens spherical. In a further, particularly advantageous embodiment, the head of the Z is äpfchens onion-shaped with the pointed end the onion to the front, ie the head is not round at its front end, but tapers slightly tapered. In a further advantageous embodiment, the suppository according to the invention has lateral notches near the conically tapering end and shows the improved packaging at the corresponding point corresponding indentations which engage in these notches, so that the suppository does not need to be removed from the packaging for insertion but the package is opened by means of the sufficiently large tabs at the top end of the package, the package is unfolded, wherein the suppository is held by the indentations and corresponding Einbuchtun q en still in the package, and the suppositories by touching the packaging at the height of the conically tapered end can be inserted into the anus.
The suppository shape according to the invention can be reduced by reducing the previous suppository base mass by up to 20%, the suppository overall by approx. 10% and thus extending the parts of the packaging strip which are not connected to one another and which serve to grip when the packaging is opened, and thus lengthen them Grip strength for the consumer can be increased using the same packaging materials and machines. Surprisingly for safe insertion of the Cou p fchens into the anus, despite the reduction by about 10% a subsequent pushing with your finger not necessary, but the sphincter of the anus takes the uvula safely without it risks that the closing of the anus serving sphincter pushes the suppository outwards again. The avoidance of the need to pound the finaer contributes to the hygiene of the use of such suppositories. The previous suppository casting machines can also continue to be used, with only the molds of the commonly used ones Forming and casting machines are to be changed.
The possibility of a wider configuration of the parts of the packaging strip which serve to grasp when the packaging is opened enables a further measure to simplify the opening of the packaging for the consumer. With the previous suppository length and the necessary narrow design of the handle tabs, they had to be of the same length. The consumer often overlooked the grip tabs and had appropriate Schwieri q speeds when using the suppository. After suppositories according to the invention allows a reduction by about 10% of the previously required suppositories length and therefore a broadening of the grip tabs, is designed packaging for the erfindunqsqemäße suppositories so according to a Favor q th embodiment is that one of the two plates to the other flap shortened performed is, so that the other flap protrudes beyond the end of one flap and is expediently designed conspicuously, for example by a colored print, so that the consumer, even if he has poor eyesight due to age or other reasons, can quickly recognize this relief and can easily separate the two tabs, which are close together.
The accompanying drawing serves to further explain the present invention.
Fig. 1 shows the suppository according to the invention with a spherical head in longitudinal section.
Fig. 2 shows a packaging strip with 6 suppositories of the previous shape with the usual dimensions in this packaging una suppository shape.
Fig. 3 shows such a packaging strip with the same number of suppositories according to the invention with a spherical head with the dimensions necessary for this in their packaging and suppository shape.
Fig. 4 shows a further preferred embodiment of the suppository according to the invention, in which the spherical head tapers slightly conically towards the tip of the suppository, i.e. the head of the suppository is onion-shaped. This figure also shows a particularly preferred embodiment of the packaging according to the invention for the anal suppository according to the invention.
In the suppository according to Fiq. 1, the
