Definitions

  • the invention relates to an externally held, adjustable spreader for tubular goods present in a flat state, which is moved in the direction of passage over the spreader and is spread by the spreader in a second, perpendicular to the first direction, and with at least two inside the tubular goods side by side to be arranged spreading units, which are each provided with at least one endless conveyor belt running over part of their circumference along the outside of the assigned spreading unit, which are releasably engaged with rollers located outside the path of movement of the tubular material passing through, the spreading units being rotatable by interaction of them stored counter rollers with the rollers arranged outside the path of movement of the tubular goods are held in the direction of movement of the tubular goods.
  • DE-A-2 823 978 discloses a spreader to be arranged in the interior of a tubular material in the form of a flat frame which is adjustable in width by means of telescopic tubes, in which the telescopic tubes are connected to one another at their outer ends via head parts with two longitudinal webs of the frame arranged in mirror image to one another.
  • this already known spreader has the serious disadvantage that the width of the telescopic tubes can only be adjusted within relatively narrow limits. Furthermore, it is not possible to adjust the spreader when the tubular goods run through, for example when the tubular goods are of different widths connected to one another. If the width of the continuous tubular goods changes, then their feed must be interrupted, the goods of different widths must be separated from one another, and the width of the spreader adjusted accordingly, or if its adjustment range is not sufficient, it must be replaced. This represents a very undesirable and cumbersome interruption of the workflow that is desired as continuously as possible.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a spreader which does not have the aforementioned disadvantages of the previously known spreader, that is to say in which the width adjustment range can be selected as desired and in which an adjustment of the width is possible from the outside even when the tubular goods are clamped and run through.
  • each of the spreading units is arranged individually by means of support rollers arranged outside the movement path of the tubular goods, the axes of rotation of which extend in the spreading direction of the tubular goods, and which are releasably engaged with the counter-rollers rotatably mounted in the spreading units ,
  • the axes of rotation of the rollers causing the feed also run in the spreading direction, and that at least the feed and support rollers assigned to a guide unit are jointly adjustable in the spreading direction to change the spreading width of the spreader.
  • a feed roller and a support roller are arranged on a common axis of rotation.
  • at least two pairs of feed and support rollers are arranged on the one side of each spreading unit and at least one pair of feed and support rollers is arranged on the other side, so that there is no tilting moment on the one such supported spreading unit is exercised.
  • the support rollers are provided along their circumference with a guide groove which is positively engaged with a counter roller of the spreading unit to be supported.
  • the feed and support rollers assigned to a spreading unit are connected to a common drive.
  • feed and support rollers arranged on the two sides of a spreading and guiding unit facing away from one another are arranged such that they can be adjusted relative to and away from one another.
  • each of the two spreading units prefferably be provided with at least two continuous, continuously rotating transport belts which are driven at different speeds along the outside of the guide in order to compress the tubular goods conveyed via the spreader.
  • the transport belts consist of rubber-elastic material and have a circular cross section.
  • the first exemplary embodiment of a spreader according to the invention shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 has two spreading units 2 and 3 arranged side by side inside a knitted tube 1 to be treated and indicated only with its contours and in a flat state.
  • the latter are each provided with an endless transport belt 4 running along their guide outer side, which are guided by means of deflecting rollers 5, 6 and 7, which are located approximately in the tube center plane and are arranged in the two units 2 and 3.
  • the two spreading units are designed to taper towards the hose run-up side, so that the supplied tubular mesh fabric 1, which is to be stretched in its width and is in a flat state, is very gradually stretched in width when it strikes the spreader.
  • the feed rollers 8 to 11 are in engagement with the part of the endlessly circulating transport belt 4, which is exposed along the outside of the guide of the spreading unit 2 or 3, drive it according to the desired feed speed of the tubular goods 1 to be stretched in width, and at the same time serve to support the assigned spreading unit 2 or 3.
  • one feed roller and one support roller are combined to form a single unit, the axis of rotation 16 of which is perpendicular to the direction of flow of the tubular goods 1 to be stretched, in order to simplify the construction.
  • the support rollers 12 to 15 are in turn releasably engaged, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, with counter-rollers 12, 13, 14 and 15 rotatably mounted in the associated spreading units 2 and 3, respectively.
  • the feed and support rollers 8 to 15 assigned to the right-hand spreading unit 2 in FIG. 1 and serving to support the latter are arranged together in a slide 21 which is adjustable in the direction of arrow B transversely to the feed direction C.
  • the support rollers 12 to 15 are provided along their circumference with a form-fitting, each with a counter roller 17, 18, 19 or 20 of the spreading unit 2 or 3 to be supported, and a guide groove 22 which is in engagement.
  • the counter rollers 17, 18, 19 and 20 which engage in the guide grooves 22 of the support rollers 12, 13, 14 and 15 and support the latter, as well as the feed rollers 8 to 11 that absorb the tilting moment and ensure the drive of the transport belt 4 that the expansion part 2 or 3 is fixed in its position within the continuous tubular fabric 1, namely parallel and transverse to the direction of movement of the continuous tubular fabric 1.
  • all feed and support rollers 8 to 11 or 12 to 15 are provided with the same outside diameters and are connected to a common drive.
  • FIG. 5 shows a section similar to FIG. 2 through a second exemplary embodiment of a spreader according to the invention, whereby in contrast to the first exemplary embodiment described above, only three pairs of feed and support rollers 8, 9, 10 or. 12, 13, 14 are provided which are driven by a common drive chain 24. Parts which are analogous to parts of the first exemplary embodiment described above are provided with the same reference symbols, so that a repeated description of these parts is unnecessary.
  • each of the two spreading units 2 and 3 can be provided, for example, with two transport belts 4 and 4 'running at different speeds along their guide outer sides, as is shown very schematically with reference to FIGS. 6 and 7 is shown.
  • the peripheral speed V 1 of the first conveyor belt 4 is greater than the peripheral speed V 2 of the second subsequent conveyor belt 4 '.
