Claims (5)

1. Werkbank mit einem einen rechteckigen Rahmen (10) aufweisenden und mit Spannelementen versehenen Oberteil, wobei die Spannelemente umfassen:
eine erste Gleitbahn (18), welche einen Teil des Rahmens (10) bildet - oder an einem Teil des Rahmens (10) befestigt ist - und ein Paar relativ zueinander beweglicher Schraubstock-Klemmbacken (20, 22) trägt;
eine zweite, bewegliche Gleitbahn (28), die parallel zur ersten verläuft und ein zweites Paar relativ zueinander beweglicher Klemmbacken (30, 32) trägt; und
eine Einrichtung (38) zum Bewegen der zweiten Gleitbahn (28) auf die erste Gleitbahn (18) zu oder von ihr weg;
und wobei zumindest eine der Schraubstock-Klemmbacken drehbar ist, jede Klemmbacke (20, 22, 30, 32) entlang ihrer Gleitbahn (18, 28) unabhängig beweglich ist und jede Klemmbacke (20, 22, 30, 32) um eine Achse (50, 52, 54, 56) drehbar ist, so daß sich die Klemmbacken (20, 22, 30, 32) der Form eines zu fassenden Werkstücks anpassen können.
2. Werkbank nach Anspruch 1, wobei zwei entgegengesetzte Seiten des rechteckigen Oberteils (10) geschlitzt (14, 16) sind, um Führungen für die bewegliche Gleitbahn (28) zu bilden.
3. Werkbank nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei die beiden Klemmbacken (20, 22, 30, 32) auf jeder Gleitbahn (18, 28) jeweils mit einer gesonderten Leitspindel (24, 26, 34, 36) versehen sind und die beiden Leitspindeln nahe benachbart sind.
4. Werkbank nach Anspruch 3, wobei eine der Leitspindeln (24, 26, 34, 36) jeder Gleitbahn mit einem Knopf (60) versehen ist, der klein genug ist, die zweite Leitspindel nicht zu behindern, während die zweite Leitspindel mit einem Betätigungsgriff (62) versehen ist, der über den Knopf (60) hinausragt.
5. Werkbank nach Anspruch 3, wobei jede der Leitspindeln (24, 26, 34, 36) in einen Schaft von nicht-kreisförmigem Querschnitt ausläuft und ein Griff (62), der ein Steckrohr (64) mit einer Ausnehmung (66) von entsprechender Form aufweist, mit einem am Boden der Ausnehmung (66) eingesetzten Permanentmagneten (68) versehen ist, um den Griff (62) zeitweise auf einem Leitspindelschaft festzuhalten.
