Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and to a device for sheathing drainage pipes.
- a liquid-permeable material which is usually firmly attached to the pipe, is used to coat pipes.
- the drainage pipe itself is a plastic pipe into which slots are made at intervals. Depending on the nature of the soil, these slots become clogged after the pipe has been inserted into the soil, so that the task of the drainage pipe can no longer be fulfilled.
- the covering can be designed so that it has a liquid-permeable effect over the entire surface.
- a permeable sheath is applied directly to the drainage tube, its effect is also limited to the area determined by the slots in the drainage tube.
- the task is to increase the liquid-absorbing surface of the tube. According to the invention this is done by sheathing the drainage pipe, preferably with a fleece made of liquid-permeable material, the fleece being held at such a distance from the surface of the drainage pipe that blockages in the fleece caused by the soil have no influence on the discharge of the liquid into the interior of the drainage tube.
- the drainage pipe 1 is either a rigid pipe, preferably made of plastic, or a flexible pipe and has slots or bores at intervals around its circumference through which liquid can pass.
- This drainage pipe is covered with a material, preferably a fleece 6, care being taken to ensure that this fleece is held at a sufficiently large distance above the surface of the pipe.
- a material that is loose enough to be permeable to liquid serves as a spacer.
- Styrofoam balls are particularly suitable, but also other natural substances, such as tree bark, coconut fibers and the like.
- the fleece has two functions, on the one hand to guarantee the necessary permeability for the liquid and on the other hand to enclose the loose filling material applied to the pipe in such a way that it meets the requirements even under extreme stress.
- Such cladding layers are produced in a process in which the filling material is picked up, transported and released to the surface of the drainage pipe by a screw.
- the amount of filling material conveyed by the screw determines the thickness of the layer to be applied.
- the sheathing with the fleece begins in the area of the screw guide, the screw being guided within a tube, so that when the filling material emerges from the screw area, a direct transition to the cavity formed from the fleece occurs.
- the drainage pipe in turn is guided in the middle of the hollow screw, so that it emerges from this cavity at the end of the screw and is immediately provided with the appropriate jacket.
- the speeds of the screw with respect to the transport of the filling material and of the fleece and the passage of the drainage pipe through the hollow screw can be matched to one another in such a way that the filling quantity and the filling thickness can be determined.
- a device for performing the method is shown in the drawing.
- the device consists of a storage container 4, which is directly followed by a guide tube 3.
- the guide tube 3 is open in the area of the storage container 4, so that the filling material 5 can enter the area of the tube 3.
- a hollow screw 2 runs inside the tube 3.
- This screw is rotatably mounted and has its own drive. The arrangement is such that the screw can be easily replaced so that screws with different heights of the gears can be used.
- the drainage pipe 1 can be guided through the hollow screw. In the example shown, the drainage pipe is guided through the hollow screw from left to right in the direction of the arrow.
- a bearing block 11 and a drive 12 serve to support and rotate the screw 2.
- the screw 2 picks up the filling material 5 from the storage container 4 during the rotation and transports it within the tube 3 in the direction of the arrow.
- the drainage pipe 1 is pushed through the hollow screw in the direction of the arrow during the working process.
- a winding device 9 through which the drainage pipe is also guided.
- a fleece 6 is passed over a deflection roller onto the outside of the tube 3. With the help of brushes 8, the fleece 6 is placed directly on the surface of the tube 3. The fleece 6 is gripped by the wrapping device 9 and transported with the drainage pipe in the direction of the arrow. .
- the machining process takes place as follows: the drainage pipe 1 is inserted into the hollow screw 2, by the rotation of this screw filling material 5 is transported within the pipe 3 and at the end of the pipe 3 and thus also at the end of the screw 2 directly on the surface of the Drainage tube stored.
- the fleece 6 is continuously pulled over the pipe 3, wrapped around the pipe 3 with the aid of the brushes 8, so that at the end of the pipe 3 a sleeve formed from the fleece comes to rest directly on the drainage pipe covered with filling material.
- the wrapping device is provided with a thread 13 which is placed around the fleece with a corresponding rotational movement and thus firmly connects the fleece on the filling material to the drainage pipe.
- the fully covered drainage pipe 10 then emerges at the end of the wrapping device and can be picked up on drums or the like.
- the speed at which the fleece is pulled over the guide tube 3 is constant. Likewise, the speed of the winding device 9 is kept almost constant. In contrast, the speed of the screw is variable. Depending on how much filling material is required between the drainage pipe and the fleece, the speed is made greater or smaller, so that more or less filling material is fed to the end of the guide pipe in the time unit * . Since at the same time the drainage pipe is pulled through the hollow screw at an almost constant speed, the amount of the filling material can be determined in relation to the unit area of the drainage pipe. This means that the sheath thicknesses can be influenced regardless of whether the screw is changed with different gears.
- the fleece can also be connected to the wrapping device in such a way that it is guided at the end of the guide tube 3 in a spiral around the drainage tube with its filling material, and thus a good covering can be produced.

Abstract
