Abstract

Reliable sealing between the tumbler lever of a tumbler switch and the opening in the casing of a switch around this lever to prevent entry of solder during mechanical soldering of the switch on printed circuit boards whilst maintaining the ease of operation of the switch is achieved in that a sealing diaphragm extending between the inner wall of the casing opening and the tumbler lever has the form of a hood diaphragm, the radially inner sealing edge of which bears against the tumbler lever in the vicinity of the pivot axis of the tumbler, the switch mechanism being situated on the side of the tumbler lever remote from the region of the hood diaphragm with respect to the pivot axis. <IMAGE>
