- the openings should be sealed gas-tight for all cuboid packs on sale. However, they should be easy to open so that children, or the elderly and frail people can open the pack without tools. It should be shaped or mouldable in such a way that the same through free air access moderate pouring is possible. Finally, the pouring opening should be located at a point that allows the pack to be filled without or only a small air space, because these inclusions could lead to faster spoilage, but also represent an useless space in a pack that is only additional material and thus more expensive the pack means.
- a cut can be assumed that has a narrow side wall on each side of a wide side wall and then two flaps to form the fourth, likewise wide side wall by connection by means of a longitudinal seam.
