Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Briketts mit guter Verlade-, Wetterstands- und Feuerstandsfestigkeit aus nicht backenden feinkörnigen Brennstoffen wie Anthrazit- oder Magerkohle, Feinkoks, Hartbraunkohle oder Holzkohle. Das Verfahren besteht darin, daß man den auf über 70°C erhitzten feinkörnigen Brennstoff mit einer wässrigen heißen Lösung eines vollverseiften Polyvinylalkohols bedüst, das Gemisch aus Brennstoff und Bindemittellösung homogenisiert und unter guter Entwrasung zu Briketts verpreßt. Dabei setzt man dem feinkörnigen Brennstoff vor der Behandlung mit der Bindemittelösung 5 bis 15 % einer pulverförmigen backenden Kohle zu. Die derart hergestellten Briketts werden den Forderungen des Umweltschutzes gerecht, da sie rauch- und rußfrei verbrennen und ihre Verbrennungsabgase frei von Schadstoffen sind.
