Definitions
- the invention relates to adhesive oils which contain a lubricating oil and an adhesion promoter, and to the use of such adhesive oils as chain saw chain adhesive oil and as a release agent for construction formwork.
- Adhesive oils for chainsaw chains are required in large quantities in the Federal Republic of Germany: around 6 million to about 7 million liters of chainsaw adhesive oil are used annually. Furthermore, considerable amounts of adhesive oil are required in the construction industry as a release agent for building formwork, in particular for concrete formwork, so that the formwork panels can be removed from the concrete without any problems after the concrete introduced into the formwork has hardened.
- the adhesive oils known hitherto contain a high molecular weight polymer, such as polyethylene glycol or polyacrylamide, with molecular weights of 1 million or more as an adhesion promoter which, for example, causes the adhesive oil to adhere to chainsaw chains. These substances are not biodegradable.
- the present invention has for its object to provide an adhesive oil that is completely biodegradable.
- Rosin has been used, inter alia, in the form of solutions in mineral oil for newspaper printing inks, as an additive in mineral and synthetic cable oils (Ullmanns Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry, 4th edition, volume 12, page 530) and in pasty petrolatum soldering flux; furthermore, depilatories for pig skins are known which consist of 88 to 93% rosin, fused with 7 to 12% cottonseed oil (Kirk-Othmer, Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, 2nd edition, volume 17, pages 481 and 482).
- the adhesive oil according to the invention is completely biodegradable, since both the vegetable and / or animal oil and the adhesion promoter according to the invention are completely degradable. The adhesive oil therefore does not pollute the environment.
- rosin-containing resins - Balsam resin obtained from turpentine balm (pine balm); - Root resin obtained by solvent extraction from old rhizomes; and - Tall resin obtained from the fractional distillation of tall oil, a by-product of wood pulping to obtain pulp.
- Rosin itself can also be used as the adhesion promoter according to the invention. Rosin is made from balsam resin, root resin or tall resin.
- Tall resin is preferably used as the adhesion promoter according to the invention, since tall resin as a constituent of adhesive oils imparts particularly good adhesion properties.
- Adhesive oils are particularly preferred which contain at least one vegetable and / or at least one animal oil as the lubricating oil and tall resin as the adhesion promoter.
- animal or vegetable oil in the adhesive oils according to the invention e.g. Beet oil, sunflower oil, castor oil, olive oil, peanut oil, soybean oil or whale oil can be included.
- rape oil, sunflower oil and / or castor oil are preferred. Adding castor oil to rape oil and / or sunflower oil is useful in some cases due to the excellent lubricating properties of castor oil.
- the adhesive oil according to the invention has an excellent durability, so that the addition of a preservative is not necessary. If desired, however, 1 to 5% by weight of sorbitol can be added to the adhesive oil as a preservative.
- the adhesive oil according to the invention When used as chain saw chain adhesive oil, the adhesive oil according to the invention contains 40 to 80% by weight of lubricating oil and 60 to 20% by weight of coupling agent.
- the adhesive oil preferably contains 50 to 60% by weight of lubricating oil and 50 to 40% by weight of coupling agent and in particular 50% by weight of lubricating oil and 50% by weight of coupling agent.
- the adhesive oil according to the invention containing a rosin and / or rosin has the further advantage that no wear and corrosion protection inhibitors need to be added to the adhesive oil. It has been shown that the adhesion promoter according to the invention has protective properties against wear and corrosion.
- the adhesive oil according to the invention contains 90 to 70% by weight of lubricating oil and 10 to 30% by weight of coupling agent and preferably 80% by weight of lubricating oil and 20% by weight of coupling agent.
- the adhesive oil according to the invention is particularly suitable as chainsaw adhesive oil and as a release agent for structural formwork, such as concrete formwork, in the same way for so-called absorbent and non-absorbent formwork.
- the adhesive oil according to the invention is produced in a simple manner by mixing the lubricating oil with the adhesion promoter.
- the lubricating oil is usually placed in a mixer and the adhesion promoter added. Mixing is easy at room temperature.
- a homogeneous adhesive oil is formed after about ten minutes of mixing, which does not separate even after standing for a long time. For example, no segregation was observed in the case of adhesive oils made from 50% by weight sunflower oil and 50% by weight tall resin or from 60% by weight turnip oil and 40% by weight tall resin after standing for eighteen months.

Abstract
Description
- Balsamharz, das aus Terpentinbalsam (Kiefernbalsam) gewonnen wird;
-
- a) zum Gebrauch im Sommer: 50 Gew.-% Sonnenblumenöl und 50 Gew.-% Tallharz,
- b) zum Gebrauch im Sommer: 60 Gew.-% Sonnenblumenöl und 40 Gew.-% Kolophonium,
- c) zum Gebrauch im Winter: 60 Gew.-% Rüböl und 40 Gew.-% Tallharz.
- Die Viskosität des Haftöls c) beträgt bei 10°C etwa 0,012 Pa.s und bei 15°C etwa 0,008 Pa.s.
- d) zum Gebrauch im Winter: 40 Gew.-% Rüböl, 15 Gew.-% Rizinusöl und 45 Gew.-% Tallharz.
- 80 Gew.-% Sonnenblumenöl und 20 Gew.-% Tallharz.
