- the circuit arrangement according to the invention is very advantageous because it simultaneously ensures optimum protection of the step winding against oscillating switching impulse voltages with a minimal space requirement. Surprisingly, it has been found that when using an appropriately dimensioned and quite space-consuming RC element with an improved effectiveness, the overall arrangement requires a reduced volume compared to the known arrangement.
