Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of multiple packaging intended to retain a plurality of objects, in particular packaging of the type consisting of a cardboard panel making it possible to wrap said objects and to retain them after the two flaps of said panel are secured.
  • the objects concerned can be bottles, jars, cans or the like, but the type of object more particularly targeted is that of small plastic or glass jars, such as yogurt pots for example, the shape is very variable (cylindrical, frustoconical, pyramidal in particular).
  • the problems of maintenance are conventionally resolved by providing separation elements, these elements generally projecting inwards at the base of the objects or groups of packaged objects, or even produced in the form of an intermediate partition through which the objects pass.
  • the problem of maintaining the objects is then generally solved by using an additional strip extending one end of the cardboard panel, this strip being folded in the general direction of folding. of said panel to form a separation beam, itself possibly provided with notches to allow the lower part of the objects or groups of objects to pass through.
  • Beams of triangular section have thus been developed, defined by three parallel fold lines; in this case, the other flap of the panel is extended to pass under the beam, and the connection is obtained by two bonding lines on either side of said beam.
  • FIGS. 18 to 21 illustrate a variant in which a detachable portion 152 is provided (filling the abovementioned opening 25): a series of packages relating to containers of the same category can thus be joined by a separate common strip 157, connected by gluing to each of the detachable portions 152, so that the employee, by pulling the strip, drives all the detached portions (FIG. 21) and can then, without risk of error, proceed to labeling on the central zone of the cap then become accessible.
  • the technical problem solved in this document is to facilitate quick access to the cap for error-free labeling, thanks to simultaneous unmasking.
  • U.S. Patent No. 3,037,682 describes a carton consisting of a panel comprising detachable side washers, which are, after detachment, a shield cup avoiding the damage a piece of furniture when placing an object with high humidity on its outside surface; finally include memory for some specific applications of precut tabs in a packing cardboard blank These tabs can be used as separation (see e.g. French Patent No. 2547796), or can promote the ventilation of the upper part of objects packaged (see for example U.S. patent No. 3,411,697).
  • the object of the invention is to produce a multiple package which makes it possible to hold perfectly packed objects or groups of objects, without this resulting in excess material.
  • Another object of the invention is to produce a multiple packaging adaptable to very diverse object shapes, in particular pots of generally frustoconical or pyramidal shape.
  • Another object of the invention is to use a technique comprising a bonding between a cardboard packaging and the objects or groups of packaged objects, by eliminating any risk of delamination of cardboard and / or visible traces of glue on the objects separated from their packaging.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide an inviolable multiple packaging, that is to say requiring at least partially destroying said packaging to release a wrapped object.
  • a assembly constituted by the combination of a multiple packaging and a plurality of objects, said packaging consisting of a cardboard panel enveloping and retaining said objects, said panel comprising at least one precut defining a detachable portion which is secured by bonding to each object or group of objects joined together (known for example from US-A-4,262,814), characterized in that the precut extends along a line disposed internally with respect to the outer edges of the cardboard panel of so as to define a detachable tablet which is secured by bonding to each object or group of objects joined together, said detachable tablet alone ensuring the maintenance of the object or group of packaged objects and being automatically detached from the panel when of the opening of the packaging, while remaining definitively and in its entirety to the associated object or group of objects, so as to constitute a permanent label for said object or said group of objects.
  • the precut associated with each object relates to a closed contour defining a separable patch.
  • the outline may prove advantageous for the outline to have a shape analogous to that of the upper face of the object, so that the detached patch covers a substantial part of said face.
  • the precut associated with each object when it is a package in which a lateral portion of the folded panel is spaced from the adjacent face of a plurality of wrapped objects, the precut associated with each object relates to a line transversely connecting two points of a continuous cut defining a tongue, in a general direction substantially parallel to the connecting hinge of said tongue.
  • the hinge of the tongue is essentially parallel to the general direction of folding of the cardboard panel, or even essentially coincident with the associated folding line.
  • the tongue comprises a narrow foot extending by a wider head from the precut, said head defining a separable pellet.
  • the tongue foot has a intermediate fold line, disposed between the hinge and the precut of said tongue.
  • the tongue head can have very different shapes.
  • the tongue head has a generally square or rectangular shape, the associated precut being rectilinear and provided on one of the sides, in the extension of the continuous cutting portion concerning said side; according to another example, the tongue head has a generally circular or oval shape, the associated precut being curved in correspondence to connect to the continuous cut concerned.
  • precut it should be understood by this that it is a succession of points or perforated segments, organized according to a certain contour, defining a preferential line separation with a relatively low lifting force.
  • Figure 1 the multi-pack 1, made of cardboard, has a generally rectangular shape, with a central part 2, side flaps 3, 4, and end flaps 5, 6.
  • the packaging 1 comprises at least one precut 7 (here four) defining a detachable portion 8, which is here a separable pellet of round shape, secured by gluing to each object: this detachable portion, here provided on the central part 2 can maintain the associated object, but it is automatically detached from the panel 1 when the packaging is opened, while remaining attached to said object.
  • FIGS. 2a and 2b show objects 9 with a crimped capsule 10, for example yogurt pots, packaged with the multiple packaging 1.
  • These operations are carried out continuously with a machine of conventional design which need not be described here; bonding of the central part of the panel is done using a hot glue (called "hot melt”) or a cold glue whose drying time is longer if you want to consolidate the set of pots first .
  • hot glue called "hot melt”
  • cold glue whose drying time is longer if you want to consolidate the set of pots first .
  • each pot has its own connection to the panel. It will be noted that with pots of frustoconical shape widening downwards, the bases are preferably contiguous, so that the overall cohesion is excellent, allowing all handling of storage, arrangement, etc.
  • any destruction, at least partial, of the packaging to access a wrapped object will produce a separation of the corresponding patch 8 according to the precut line 7.
  • the patch therefore remains fixed on the object detached, and can then perform a labeling function (decorative and / or explanatory label).
  • the pad 8 perfectly hides the bonding 11, and its outline has a clean appearance thanks to the precut 7: this eliminates any presence of cardboard fibers resulting from delamination of the panel.
  • the pre-coating 7 must have a suitable brittleness, so that the pellet is easily detached without releasing the capsule.
  • the outline of the precut is here of round shape, like the upper face of the pot, but another shape and / or a smaller dimension could naturally be envisaged.
  • the panel 13 illustrated in FIG. 3 illustrates a variant of multiple packaging in accordance with the invention.
  • the side flaps 3, 4 comprise, from their fold line 14, several continuous cutouts 15 (one per packaged object).
  • continuous cutting advantageously leaves a very weak isolated point at the corners, in order to avoid any risk of nesting during the unstacking of the blanks for the implementation of the packaging.
  • Each continuous cutout 15 defines a tongue formed here by a foot 16, and a wider head 17, here rectangular.
  • This tab can therefore freely pivot around its connecting hinge, which is here merged with the fold line 14 which is of course in no way obligatory.
  • Each tab further comprises a precut 18 transversely connecting two points of the continuous cut 15, in a direction substantially parallel to the connecting hinge.
  • the precut 18 is in this case preferably rectilinear to complete the side of the rectangle already partially cut: the separable patch is therefore here the head 17 of the tongue.
  • the tear initiation would be located in the vicinity of the angles, which is less satisfactory from an aesthetic point of view.
  • FIGS. 4a and 4b where objects 19 have been shown, for example four pots of yogurt, connected or not between them, of general pyramidal shape widening upwards.
  • each tab makes it possible to move the plane of the associated separable patch 17 away from the plane of the flap, so that this patch can easily be applied against the adjacent inclined side face, and secured to the latter by one or several glue points 20.
  • the end flaps are also joined by gluing at 12, as for the previous packaging.
  • the panel 21 illustrated in FIG. 5 illustrates another variant of multiple packaging in accordance with the invention.
  • it is the end flaps 5, 6 which have tongues with precut.
  • each hinge here being substantially parallel to the fold line 23.
  • a foot 26 and a head 27 for each tongue and a precut 28 which has an outline in an arc of a circle in order to complete the arc of a circle already cut around the head of the tongue (the latter arc being able to allow to remain an isolated connection point to eliminate any risk of blanks nesting).
  • the tongue head is of generally circular shape, so that a round detachable pellet is obtained.
  • the tongue foot 26 here has an intermediate fold line 29, disposed between the hinge 25 and the pre-cut 28 of said tongue: this gives more flexibility for a significant distance from the tongue head during sticking it on the object to remember, especially when the objects have a bottom of which the central part is set back.
  • This is illustrated in Figures 6a and 6b, where such objects 30 are shown with a bottom 31 recessed.
  • Each patch 27 can thus be easily applied against the adjacent bottom 31, and secured to the latter by a point of glue 32.
  • the end flaps are also joined by gluing at 12, as for the preceding packages.
  • the tabs are preferably arranged so as to extend inwards when the cardboard panel is folded, as illustrated here, this to better combat any tendency for the two rows of objects to come together. by the base of said objects, and thus ensure better retention of the packaged objects.
  • the panel 33 illustrated in FIG. 7 illustrates yet another variant of multiple packaging in accordance with the invention.
  • This variant is based on the same principle as the previous variant, but with precut tabs provided on the central part 2 of the panel. There is thus, for each tongue, a continuous cut 34 from the connecting hinge 35, a foot 36 and a tongue head 37, a rounded precut 38 completing the outline of the head 37 to form a detachable round patch, and an intermediate fold line 39.
  • the type of objects targeted by this variant is typically that of pots of generally frustoconical or pyramidal shape widening downwards, with a vertex whose central part is set back. This is illustrated in FIGS. 8a and 8b, where such objects 40 have been represented, with a vertex 41 set back.
  • Each patch 37 can thus be easily applied against the adjacent top 41, and secured to the latter by a point of glue 42.
  • the end flaps are as previously glued at 12.
  • the tongues are preferably arranged so as to extend inward when the cardboard panel is folded, as illustrated here.
  • the detachable portion may in particular be provided for each object on one and / or the other adjacent side face.
  • this packaging is perfectly inviolable, because it is necessary to destroy (at least partially) said packaging to release a wrapped object.
