Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact arrangement which can be attached to a device housing and has a box-shaped housing and an interchangeable contact insert which is connected to the device housing via a ground connection.
- Such contact arrangements are already known from document FR-A-2 283 564.
- the manufacture of the ground contact between the contact inserts and the associated housing, usually a device housing, is accomplished in a conventional manner in that the contact insert is first inserted into an electrically conductive housing, a ground contact being made from the contact insert to the housing and then the ground connection from the housing to the device housing via a screw connection.
- the ground connection of the contact insert is formed in two parts, it consists of a radially up to about the edge of the housing contact disk and a radially resilient mass spring ring inserted into a radial gap between the housing and the device housing, which consists of the contact disk and the device housing.
- the easy interchangeability of the contact insert remains receive.
- the ground connection is also improved, since this takes place directly with the exclusion of any housing.
- a certain pre-tension is always exerted on the contact surfaces to be connected to one another, which ensures a particularly low contact resistance. Keeping this contact resistance particularly low is particularly necessary for contact inserts of so-called filter plugs, since already unevenly distributed contact resistances can adversely affect the filter effect. It is no longer important how the can-shaped housing is attached to the device housing. It would be e.g. B.
- the housing is made of an insulating plastic, whereby the ground connection between the contact insert and the device housing would not be affected in any way. Since the spring-elastic earth ring is inserted into a gap between the housing and the device housing, the replacement of the contact insert is also unproblematic.
- the mass spring ring can, for. B. already inserted into the radial gap before inserting the contact insert.
- the radial gap between the housing and the device housing is axially open against the direction of insertion of the contact insert. This advantageously makes it possible for the mass spring ring to be inserted from the same side as the contact insert when the mass spring ring and the contact insert are replaced.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention according to the features of claim 3 protrudes that the mass spring ring has an approximately tubular contact collar which, in the installed state of the mass spring ring, rests radially on the contact surface of the contact insert.
- This has the advantage that regardless of the angular position of the mass spring ring to be used, contact is always made with the contact surface of the contact insert.
- the contact surface of the contact insert can also be designed as a filter disk which projects so far beyond the housing that it engages in the contact collar of the mass spring ring. In this way, a particularly large contact area between the contact collar and the contact insert is produced, which further reduces the contact resistance.
- the spring action of the mass spring ring is achieved according to the features of claim 4 in a simple manner in that the mass spring ring in connection with the contact collar has an approximately barrel-shaped radially outward, in the installed state supported on the device housing spring body. In this way it is also achieved in a simple manner that the spring washer, when it is pushed in before the contact insert, is supported radially on the device housing and is thus already fixed in its position.
- the spring action of the spring body can be further increased in accordance with the features of claim 5 in that the barrel-shaped spring body is provided with axially aligned longitudinal slots laterally delimited by spring bars. These longitudinal slots have the further advantage that they reduce the pressure surface of the barrel-shaped spring body against the device housing, so that the radially outward pressure forces on the device housing increase. This has the effect that when the mass spring ring is inserted, oxide layers are already scraped off on the device housing, as a result of which the contact resistance between the mass spring ring and the device housing is further reduced.
- An embodiment of the invention according to the features of claim 6 provides that the longitudinal slots end in front of the contact collar. This ensures that the contact collar has a closed contact surface.
- the spring action of the spring ring is evened out according to the features of claim 7 in that the longitudinal slots have approximately the same width as the adjacent spring bars.
- a multiplicity of longitudinal slots can be provided distributed over the circumference, whereby the scraping off of any oxide layers in the device housing is further promoted when the mass spring ring is inserted.
- the longitudinal slots end at a distance from the free end of the barrel-shaped spring body. If you consider that the mass spring ring with the free end of the spring body is first inserted into the radial gap between the housing and the device housing, there is the advantage in particular in the case of very narrow spring bars that these cannot be bent.
- the length of the longitudinal slots is approximately 5/6 of the length of the barrel-shaped spring body.
- a preferred embodiment reflected in the features of claim 10 provides that the inner diameter of the contact collar is smaller than the inner diameter of the free end of the barrel-shaped spring body.
- the mass spring ring can be inserted in a simple manner even when the contact insert is already inserted into the housing.
- the free end fits with play over the filter disc or the contact surface of the ground connection of the contact insert.
- the inside of the barrel-shaped spring body acts as a lead-in chamfer, thus centering the contact collar on the filter disk of the contact insert.
- the elastic mass spring ring according to claim 11 is particularly easy to manufacture in that the barrel-shaped spring body and the tubular contact collar are made in one piece from a piece of pipe.
- the single figure shows a perspective, partially sectioned representation of a contact arrangement 2 built into the front plate 1 of a device housing.
- the contact arrangement 2 comprises a box-shaped housing 3 which is screwed onto the front plate from the outside thereof.
- the front plate 1 is provided with a circular opening 4, into which the can-shaped housing 3 projects.
- the outside diameter of the housing 3 projecting into the opening 4 is smaller than the inside diameter of the opening 4, so that an annular gap 5 remains between the housing 3 and the opening 4.
- a contact insert 6 is inserted into the housing 3 of the contact arrangement 2 from the inside of the device, that is to say from the right side.
- the contact insert 6 has a radially elastic locking ring 7, which engages behind a projection on the inside of the housing 3.
- solder pins 10 surrounding tube capacitors 9 protrude.
- a circuit board 11 is connected to the solder pins 10.
- the tube capacitors 9 have a capacitor connecting plate 12 immediately before they protrude from the contact insert 6, which essentially consists of insulating plastic material.
- a ground disk 13 made of wrought copper alloy is applied, which has through openings 14 for the tube capacitors 9 to which the capacitor connecting plates 12 are soldered to the ground disk 13.
- solder pins 10 lead axially through the contact insert 6 and are formed on the opposite end of the contact insert 6 as plug sockets 15.
- the right end of the contact insert 6 and the housing 3 protrude into the housing interior through the opening 4 of the front panel 1 and are aligned with each other.
- the ground disk 13 attached to the end of the contact insert 6 projects radially slightly beyond the outer edge of the housing 3 in the exemplary embodiment shown here.
- a mass spring ring 16 is inserted into the annular gap 5 between the housing 3 and the opening 4 of the front plate 1 of the housing.
- the mass spring ring 16 is designed to be radially elastic and is supported on the one hand on the opening 4 of the front plate 1 and on the other hand on the outer circumference of the mass disk 13.
- mass spring ring 16 has an approximately tubular contact collar 17 which, in the installed state shown in the drawing, bears radially against the outer circumference of the mass disk 13 of the contact insert 6.
- the contact collar 17 is adjoined in the axial direction by a spring body 18 curved radially outwards.
- the spring body 18 is supported in the installed state of the mass spring ring 16 on the front plate 1 delimiting the opening 4.
- the barrel-shaped spring body 18 is provided with axially aligned longitudinal slots 20 which are laterally delimited by spring bars 19.
- the longitudinal slots 20 end on the one hand in front of the contact collar 17 and on the other hand at a distance from the free end of the barrel-shaped spring body 18.
- the length of the longitudinal slots is approximately 5/6 of the length of the barrel-shaped spring body 18.
- the width of the longitudinal slots is approximately the same as the width of the adjacent spring bars 19.
- the inner diameter of the contact collar 17 is practically the same large as the inner diameter of the free end 21 of the spring body 18. If the mass disk 13 does not protrude so far radially outwards, the inner diameter of the contact collar 17 can be made correspondingly smaller than that of the free end 21 of the spring body.
- the manufacture of the mass spring ring 16 can be accomplished in a simple manner from a piece of pipe, the contact collar 17 and barrel-shaped spring body 18 remaining integral with one another.
- a longitudinal slot can also be formed continuously, so as to achieve a spring effect of the contact collar 17.
- the spring action of the contact collar 17 could also be achieved in that the longitudinal slots extend into the contact collar and have a curvature radially inwards.
- the mode of operation of the mass spring ring 16 is described below on the basis of the installation and removal of the contact 16.
- the mass spring ring 16 with its barrel-shaped spring body 18 is inserted in the annular gap 6 in front of the right side to the left.
- the spring bars 19 are slightly radially compressed radially inward, whereby the mass spring ring 16 receives its hold in the opening 4 and on the other hand an oxide layer possibly formed on the opening 4 is scraped off.
- the mass spring ring 16 is pushed until it abuts the flange of the housing 3.
- the contact insert 6 is also inserted from the right side to the left into the box-shaped housing 3.
- the mass disk 13 slides into the contact collar 17 and rests with its outer circumference on the contact collar 17 in a contact-forming manner.
- the mass disk 13 has on its outer circumference resilient tongues 22 which press resiliently against the contact collar 17. If the mass disk 13 is not designed with such tongues, the contact collar 17 can be provided with a spring effect in that one of the longitudinal slots is formed continuously at one point on the circumference of the mass spring ring.
- the mass spring ring 16 pre-assembled on the housing 3 is preferably installed together with the housing 3 in the annular gap 15 on the front plate 1.
