Definitions

  • the invention relates to a label with the features according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • Labels of the specified type have the advantage that they contain more information and can be made more interesting for the visitor than a single-leaf label, without having to go to excessive effort for the production.
  • Such a label is disclosed in FR-A-2 317 718.
  • a main purpose of labels is to convey the information on them to the user, and it is accordingly advantageous if a label is designed to attract the user's attention. Furthermore, it is advantageous for numerous applications if the label can be transferred from one carrier to another and the design of the label causes the user to carry out such a transfer. By handling the label, the information on it is impressively impressed on the user; this can be very beneficial for advertising purposes.
  • FR-A-2 463 468 describes a label which can be transferred from one carrier to another by using an adhesive material which enables it to be detached and reattached.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a simple and inexpensive label that has a high level of attention and easily prompts the user to perform certain manipulations with the label, by manipulating the transfer of the label from a carrier the interest of the user should be increased to another.
  • the information on the base sheet is only accessible after the cover sheet has been detached, which gives rise to a strong interest on the part of the user to separate the cover sheet in order to be able to see the front of the base sheet.
  • the label has to be detached from its carrier and then dismantled into its leaves by separating the cover sheet.
  • a pressure sensitive adhesive is used which, at room temperature, in particular at 20 ° C., has a relatively high adhesive strength, but has a low adhesive strength at an easily adjustable other temperature, in particular approximately 10 ° C.
  • the label adhering well to the support at room temperature can e.g. be cooled with cold water, whereby the pressure sensitive adhesive arranged between the carrier and the base sheet temporarily or largely loses its adhesive force, so that the user can easily peel the cooled label from the carrier. This manipulation increases the user's interest.
  • the pressure sensitive adhesive shows its high adhesive strength again and the user can e.g. stick on a second carrier.
  • Suitable pressure sensitive adhesives are commercially available. You can e.g. consist of known acrylate adhesives.
  • the cover sheet can be separated by cutting off the edge sections; this manipulation further increases the user's interest.
  • At least the cover sheet preferably has lines of weakness along the edge sections, so that it can be torn off.
  • the lines of weakness are preferably formed by perforations distributed in a line, these are easy to produce and, by virtue of their appearance, form a usage instruction.
  • FIG. 3 to 5 show other embodiments.
  • the label 1 shown in FIG. 1 contains a base sheet 3 and a cover sheet 5, which covers the base sheet 3 and is connected to the base sheet 3 in two opposite edge sections 7 and 9 by adhesive bonds 11 and 13, respectively.
  • the front side 15 of the base sheet 3 facing the cover sheet 5 serves as an information carrier and bears, for example, printed information 17.
  • the back side 19 of the base sheet 3 facing away from the cover sheet 5 is provided with a pressure sensitive adhesive 21 and thus glued onto a support 23.
  • the carrier 23 consists of a sales package made of paper or cardboard.
  • the pressure sensitive adhesive 21 is of such a nature that it enables the base sheet 3 to be detached from the carrier 23 and the base sheet 3 to be re-adhered to the same or another carrier.
  • the pressure-sensitive adhesive 21 has a relatively high bond strength at room temperature, in particular at 20 ° C., but a relatively low bond strength at an easily adjustable other temperature, in particular at about 10 ° C.
  • the label 1 must be brought briefly to this other temperature with cold water in order to be removed from the carrier.
  • the cover sheet 5 also represents an information carrier, at least on its front side 27, and bears printed information 29.
  • the label 1 can be removed from the label after peeling in accordance with the temperature manipulation described above Separate carrier 23 into base sheet 3 and cover sheet 5.
  • the front side 15 of the base sheet 3 is thereby visible, and the user can perceive the information located there and, according to FIG. 2, stick the base sheet 3 onto the postcard 25 (FIG. 2).
  • the cover sheet 5 completely covers the base sheet 3 as shown in the embodiment of FIG. 1. As a result, the cover sheet 5 cannot be detached from the base sheet 3 without the entire label 1 being detached from the carrier 23. Furthermore, the cover sheet 5, as shown in FIG. 1, covers the base sheet 3 so that the detached label 1 is difficult to disassemble without separating the edge sections 7 and 9.
  • FIG. 3 shows an embodiment in which the cover sheet 305 has weakening lines 331, 333 along the connected edge sections 307 and 309 in order to facilitate separation.
  • the weakening lines are formed by grooves 35 and 37, and the base sheet 303 also has corresponding weakening lines 39 and 41.
  • FIG. 4 shows an embodiment in which lines of weakness 431, 433 are likewise provided in the cover sheet 405; the lines of weakness are formed by line-shaped perforations 43.
  • FIG. 5 shows an embodiment in which the connection between the base sheet 503 and cover sheet 505 extends over the edge sections 507 and 509 and further edge sections 45 and 47, in the form of an over the the entire edge of the label extending adhesive 49.
  • the connection is provided in pairs of opposite edge sections 507, 509 and 45, 47, because this makes it difficult to peel the cover sheet from the base sheet.
  • the connected edge sections each extend over a complete rectangular side; this also makes it difficult to peel off the cover sheet and causes the user to detach the label from the carrier 23 in the intended manner and to disassemble it into its sheets by severing the edge portions.
