Definitions
- the invention relates to a ski boot with rear entry.
- Such ski boots which are generally made of plastic, basically have three parts, namely the shell, the fore-end and the tailgate. The latter two are hinged to the shell, so that the ⁇ tailgate can be folded back to the entry into the ski boot; in addition, the fore-end can also be pivoted through a small angle relative to the shell, so that the skier can adjust the position of the fore-end to his template.
- This template angle can be up to 40 ° from the vertical. It should be adjustable in terms of area by the skier, but should then be lockable in the set position.
- a compensation element made of elastic material, which rests on the inner surface of the fore-end, then penetrates this recessed fore-end at the level of the shell and which is articulated on both sides to the fore-end in such an axial position that it changes when the Template angle slides along the surface of the bowl.
- a wedge-shaped gap tapering in the direction of the catch is expediently provided between the compensating element and the shell.
- the compensating element is designed such that it projects like a tongue over the upper edge of the fore-end provided with a central recess.
- this compensating element When the forearm of such a ski boot provided with a compensating element is loaded, this compensating element is pivoted while deforming and partially pressing its upper tongue into the recess of the forend over its holding rivets anchored in the forend and simultaneously slides on the
- the rest can be made adjustable, whereby the sliding path of the compensating element is adjustable.
- the shell-side guide can also serve as a retention lock.
- the compensating element thus seals the shell and at the same time keeps the forend and shell free of tension and pressure, regardless of the prevailing temperature.
- Patent application 113908 in Fig. 20 arrangement not achievable.
- the additional element shown there which is practically articulated on the axis of rotation of the fore-end, acts exclusively as a seal, which, however, is extremely sensitive to cold due to its firm contact with the surface of the shell. Optimal template damping cannot be achieved with this element.
- the tongue of the compensating element according to the invention is locked on the right or left in the upper region of the fore-end, this enables a limited torsion of the fore-end which extends upwards from the rivets holding the fore-end.
- the more precise adjustment to an individual angle of fall, possibly caused by the X or O-B adjustment of the skier allows more precise skiing, especially at a slow pace, whereby the lateral hold of the front shaft is not adversely affected. This ensures that the footbed remains in its original position, the lower leg position is automatically taken into account by the compensating element.
- the compensating element can also have elliptical slots, via which it is articulated to the fore-end.
- the compensating element can also be articulated on both sides in a shortened version without additional guide means on the shell on the fore-end.
- the detent in the fore-end is expediently designed as a clamping, expanding or screwing element with which the mutual locking of the compensating element and shaft can be achieved.
- the compensating element expediently consists of natural rubber with a Shore hardness between 30 and 50, preferably 40.
- FIG. 2 shows a ski boot with compensating element in a perspective view, seen slightly from the front
- Fig. 5 shows the interaction of the compensating element and shell of a ski boot.
- the shell of a ski boot is denoted by 6, the tailgate by 1, the fore-end by 2 and the compensating element by 3.
- tailgate 1 and fore-end 2 are articulated to shell 6 with the aid of rivets 5.
- a compensating element 3 consisting of elastic material is in turn articulated on the fore-end 2 with the aid of rivets 4; this compensating element 2 also bears against the inner surface of the fore-end 2, then penetrates this fore-end and lies on the surface of the shell 6, it being guided in this shell with the aid of a catch 7.
- the compensating element 3 has a slot 10, which has a relative movement allows between the element 3 and the shell 6. This rest is indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2 only by reference number 7. It can be a clamping, expanding or screwing element with which the mutual locking of compensating element 2 and fore-end 3 can be achieved.
- the compensating element 3 is designed such that between it and the shell 6 there is a wedge-shaped gap 11 that tapers in the direction of the catch 7.
- This air gap 11 causes the compensating element 3 to slide along the surface of the shell 6 when the ski boot is tilted forward.
- the compensating element 3 has a slot 10 in which the guide catch 7 slides.
- the shell 6 in this embodiment has a guide pin 12 sliding in the slot 10, which is provided with a locking element, not shown in the drawing. This locking element then locks the compensating element 3 with respect to the shell 6.
- FIG. 3 shows an embodiment of the invention, in which the compensating element 30 is articulated on both sides in a shortened version without additional guide means on the shell 6 on the fore-end 3.
- FIG. 5 shows a section in the direction A - B of FIG. 4, but the shell of the ski boot is not shown in FIG. 4.
