Abstract

Beim Abstechen einer Metallschmelze (11) durch eine seitlich im Boden (2) eines kippbaren runden oder ovalen metallurgischen Gefäßes (1), insbesondere eines Elektrolichtbogenofens, angeordnete Abstichöffnung (7), wird ein schlackenfreies Abstechen dadurch erzielt, daß im Bereich oberhalb der Abstichöffnung (7) durch mindestens eine innen an der Seitenwand des Gefäßes angeordnete Blasvorrichtung (Brenner 10) vorgesehen ist, durch die die Schlacke (12) aus diesem Bereich entfernt wird.
