Definitions

  • the invention relates to a measuring jaw of a safety ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a measuring jaw is known for example from EP 0091574 B1.
  • This measuring jaw is equipped with two sole holders, each of which encompasses the sole of the ski boot from above and from one side and is mounted so that it can be pivoted slightly on a common vertical bolt.
  • a bearing body carrying this bolt can in turn be pivoted slightly about a horizontal transverse axis which is mounted in a housing to be mounted in a ski-tight manner.
  • Three pressure transducers are built into the housing as contactors. This construction allows the forces occurring in the area of the measuring jaw to be recorded.
  • This safety ski binding which belongs to the state of the art on paper, has certain advantages over more well-known safety ski bindings, but has not yet been used in practice. This is probably due to the design effort that the measuring jaw requires.
  • the sole holder can be mounted on the horizontal transverse axis with the interposition of two bushes, the bushes being held axially immovably. In this way, the frictional resistance when moving the sole holder on the transverse axis can be kept extremely low. It has proven to be advantageous that a helical compression spring is mounted between the sleeves on the transverse axis, that the sole holder is cylindrically recessed in the length of the sleeve spacing and that in the normal position of the sole holder, the helical compression spring is attached to both ends of the sleeve and on Sole holder supports.
  • the sole holder in the normal position of the sole holder, the bushes protrude on the outside relative to the latter by a small amount, the sole holder is given the possibility in a simple manner to move axially out of its normal position by a small amount against the force of the Move the spring to both sides.
  • the sole holder can be designed as a two-armed lever, whereby the second arm extends downwards from the horizontal transverse axis and is in operative connection with the tread plate, which absorbs the ball pressure of the ski boot.
  • a constructive solution to be able to pivot the sole holder on the base part out of its normal position against spring force by a small amount from the ski boot, provides that the bolt passes through two elongated holes which are provided in two eyes of the sole holder, and that in the normal position the sole holder, the outer ends of the elongated holes are held in contact with the bolt under the influence of a helical compression spring.
  • the bolt is axially immovable relative to the base part and that the sole holder and the control lever are displaceable on the bolt in the longitudinal direction thereof.
  • the sole holder can have a recess for receiving the control lever, which forms two drivers for the control lever with its vertical side surfaces. Furthermore, the control lever can be designed with two arms and the second arm can serve as a stop for a driver of the sole holder.
  • the bolt supporting the sole holder can be held on the base part via a releasable locking device.
  • the locking device can have a locking bolt that can be triggered by an electromagnet of the electronic circuit.
  • the bolt is mounted in a push rod which is supported on the base in a longitudinally movable manner and is held in its normal position by the locking bolt.
  • a toggle lever with axes running parallel to the transverse axis can be provided between the support end of the push rod and the base part.
  • the locking bolt then engages behind the knee of the knee lever, which is under the influence of a return spring.
  • the jaw shown together with a second jaw, not shown forms the safety ski binding for holding a ski boot on a ski.
  • the jaws shown interact with the front sole end 1 of the ski boot shown in dash-dot lines, while the jaws, not shown, interact with the rear sole end.
  • This jaw, not shown can be opened and closed arbitrarily in a known manner and is not the subject of the present invention.
  • the jaw according to the invention is designed so that the other jaw can dispense with devices for involuntary triggering in the event of overloading.
  • the jaw has a base plate 2 which can be screwed onto a ski (not shown) by means of screws 3 (FIG. 1).
  • a horizontal transverse axis 5 is held immovably in tabs 4 angled from the base plate.
  • a sole holder 6 is pivotally mounted, which the front sole end 1 of the Ski boots gripped on the side and from above.
  • the sole holder is mounted on the transverse axis with the interposition of two bushings 7, 8, which are held axially immovably.
  • a helical compression spring 9 is mounted on the transverse axis 5 between the bushes.
  • the sole holder 6 is cylindrically recessed in the length of the distance between the sleeves (see FIG.
  • the sole holder 6 On the side remote from the ski boot, the sole holder 6 has two eyes 11, each of which has an elongated hole 12.
  • a bolt 13 engages in these elongated holes, which lies parallel to the transverse axis 5 and, in the normal state of use of the jaw, is supported with respect to the base plate 2 in a manner to be described.
  • the outer ends of the elongated holes 12 rest resiliently on the bolt 13.
  • a helical compression spring 15, which is supported on the bolt 13, is accommodated in a recess 14 in the sole holder 6.
  • the sole holder is able to pivot about the transverse axis 5 against the force of the helical compression spring 15 according to the length of the elongated holes (see FIG. 2).
  • a foot plate 16 is provided to support the front sole end 1. It is held on the base plate 2 in such a manner that it can move with respect to the corresponding ball pressure executes the illustration to the right and thus causes the sole holder 6 to also pivot against the force of the helical compression spring 15, since the sole holder has an arm 17 which extends downward beyond the transverse axis 5 and abuts the edge of a recess 18 in the step plate 16 .
  • the change in direction of the bale pressure results in a known manner from the interaction of appropriately designed parts of the tread plate and base plate in the manner of a wedge thrust mechanism.
  • a control lever 21 is pivoted and displaceable in its longitudinal direction.
  • This control lever extends into an incision 22 of the sole holder, the width of which is selected and the base is designed such that three drivers are formed for the control lever, which cause the control lever to move the sole holder both along the transverse axis 5 and around it Transverse axis can follow, as will now be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • the sole holder 6 shown enlarged in FIGS. 3 and 4 compared to FIGS. 1 and 2 is in its normal position described further above.
  • the two side surfaces 23, 24 of the incision 22 of the sole holder and the upper end 25 of the base of the incision in relation to FIG. 3 serve as drivers for the control lever 21.
  • the sleeve 8 defined on the transverse axis 5 has an annular groove 26 with a trapezoidal cross section. 3 shows, in the normal position of the sole holder, the control lever lies against the bottom of the annular groove.
  • the oblique side surfaces 27, 28 of the annular groove form run-up curves for the control lever.
  • the control lever has two arms. The upper arm in relation to FIG.
  • the trigger signal causes the excitation of an electromagnet of the electronic circuit, which causes the actuation of a locking bar designed as a rotary latch 31, which leads to the opening of the jaw, as will be described below.
  • the pressure rods which are preferably designed as sheet metal stampings, are connected to one another at their end facing away from the bolt via an axle journal 33.
  • This axle journal carries in its central region a roller 34, by means of which the pressure rods are supported on the base plate 2.
  • the journal 33 forms the sliding joint of a toggle lever, one arm of which consists of two congruent sheet metal stampings 35, which are mounted on the journal between the roller and the push rods (see in particular FIG. 2).
  • the other arm of the knee lever is arranged centrally and with 36 designated.
  • Each tab also has a hole 39, in each of which one end of a helical tension spring 40 is suspended.
  • These springs serve as return springs for the toggle lever and engage with their hook-shaped ends in ring grooves of an axle pin 41 which connects the toggle lever arms 35, 36 to one another and thus forms the knee joint.
  • the toggle lever arm 36 is recessed in the area of the knee joint in such a way that the central part of the journal 41 is exposed. This part is overlapped in the normal position of the jaw (see FIGS. 1 and 2) by the rotary latch 31, so that the entire gear arrangement, which serves as a locking device for the sole holder 6, is secured in position.
  • the rotary latch 31 is under the influence of a weak retaining spring, not shown, which loads it counterclockwise in relation to FIG. 1.
  • the movement of the rotary latch in this direction is limited by a lug 42 which strikes the base plate 2.
  • the rotary bolt is mounted on an axis 43 on the base plate. This axis and also the three axes of the toggle lever lie parallel to the bolt 13 and thus also to the transverse axis 5.
  • the jaws or its movable individual parts assume the normal position in which a ski boot located in the binding is held securely on the ski.
  • the sole holder 6 can be displaced on the transverse axis 5 by overcoming the force of the helical compression spring 9 along the transverse axis to both sides in accordance with the width of the respective gap 10.
  • the sole holder can be pivoted to a limited extent about the transverse axis 5 against the force of the helical compression spring 15 by the length of the elongated holes 12. During the transverse movement by a sufficiently large lateral force in the corresponding direction, the pivoting movement results both with sufficient backward and forward loading, that is, with a corresponding pull or pressure exerted by the front sole end 1.
  • the sole holder has carried out a corresponding pivoting movement about the transverse axis 5 and the roller 34 is rolled forward on the base plate 2 by a corresponding amount. This was made possible by unlocking and swiveling up the knee joint 41. Immediately after the front sole end is released from the sole holder, however, the sole holder returns from the release position according to FIG. 5 into the normal position according to FIG. 1. This takes place under the influence of the coil tension springs 40, which were tensioned when the toggle lever was swung up and which now pull it back. The knee joint runs past the bolt end of the rotary bolt 31, which had already returned to its starting position under the influence of its retaining spring.
  • the cheek according to the invention referred to as the first in the claims, is considered to be advantageous as a toe, it is nevertheless possible to design it as a heel holder. In this case in particular, it is then advantageous to design the rotary latch 31 in such a way that it offers a handle for opening the jaw arbitrarily.
