Abstract

Eine wandstabilisierte Hochdruck-Entladungslampe weist einen hohen lichttechnischen Wirkungsgrad und sehr gute Farbeigenschaften auf, die sich bei kompaktem Aufbau durch eine gute Bündelungsfähigkeit der Strahlung und eine sofortige Lichtstromabgabe nach dem Einschalten auszeichnet und die insbesondere auch für sehr niedrige Leistungen ausgelegt werden kann. Sie ist für allgemeine Beleuchtungszwecke geeignet, aber auch in Kraftfahrzeug-Scheinwerfern und für Beleuchtungsaufgaben im wissenschaftlichen und medizinischen Gerätebau einsetzbar. Die Entladung erfolgt in Xenon oder Krypton, deren Plasma durch leistungsstarke Impulse mit hoher Folgefrequenz und niedrigem Tastverhältnis soweit aufgeheizt wird, daß das über den sichtbaren Spektralbereich verteilte Rekombinationskontinuum mit hoher Intensität abgestrahlt wird, wobei die Entladung in der Lampe zwischen den Impulsen durch einen Haltestrom geringer Stärke aufrechterhalten wird.
