Claims (7)

1. Procédé destiné à fixer sur un objet un revêtement en matière flexible (3), en particulier à rembourrer une chaise, dans lequel une pièce de la matière de revêtement est appliquée sur l'objet et est fixée à l'objet, en exerçant une certaine tension, au moins à une partie (31) de bord d'extrémité de ce dernier en fixant à cette partie de bord d'extrémité un élément (5) en forme de bande qui est relativement rigide, au moins dans la direction transversale, et en insérant cet élément dans la partie de bord d'extrémité du revêtement qui lui est fixée dans une gorge longitudinale (6) ménagée dans l'objet et formant un angle ≦ 90° avec la direction dans laquelle la matière de recouvrement (3) s'étend à partie de la gorge, caractérisé en ce que l'élément (5) en forme de bande comporte, le long de l'un de ses bords longitudinaux, une partie épaissie (5) qui s'engage dans la gorge (6) avec un certain jeu, et la partie (31) de bord d'extrémité de la matière de recouvrement est fixée sur la partie de la bande (5) s'étendant à partir de la partie épaissie.
2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la partie épaissie (51) fait saillie vers un côté par rapport à l'une des faces de la bande (5).
3. Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que la partie épaissie est en forme de bord (51) en bourrelet.
4. Procédé selon les revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que la partie (31) de bord d'extrémité de la matière de recouvrement est fixée sur l'élément (5) en forme de bande d'une manière telle que le bord d'extrémité est opposé à la partie épaissie, et la partie (32) du revêtement s'étendant à partir de la partie (31) de bord d'extrémité fixée est ensuite repliée sur la partie (31) de bord d'extrémité fixée.
5. Dispositif destiné à fixer sur un objet un revêtement en matière flexible (3), en particulier à rembourrer une chaise, dispositif qui comprend un élément (5) en forme de bande qui est relativement rigide au moins dans la direction transversale et qui est fixé à au moins une partie (31) de bord de ladite matière de revêtement et est situé à l'intérieur d'une gorge longitudinale (6) ménagée dans l'objet et formant un angle ≦ 90° avec la direction dans laquelle la matière de revêtement s'étend à partir de la gorge, caractérisé en ce que l'élément (5) en forme de bande comporte, le long de l'un de ses bords longitudinaux, une partie épaissie (51) qui s'ajuste dans la gorge (6) avec un certain jeu, et la partie (31) de bord d'extrémité de la matière de revêtement est fixée sur la partie de la bande (5) s'étendant à partir de la partie épaissie.
6. Dispositif selon la revendication 5, caractérisé en ce que la partie épaissie (51) fait saillie vers un côté par rapport à l'une des faces de la bande (5).
7. Dispositif selon l'une des revendications 5 ou 6, caractérisé en ce que la partie épaissie est en forme de bord (51) en bourrelet.
