- GB 1139954 discloses a building construction in which composite internal wall panels are supported from a hollow cross beam by clamping strips. For the reasons given in the preceeding paragraph, the use of such clamping strips would impose compressive stresses on the wall panels sufficient to inhibit or restrain relative movement engendered by differential thermal expansion so leading to severe damage to the composite panels.
