Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for controlling the closing sequence of two sashes of windows, doors or the like which can be closed by means of a door closer, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a device for controlling the closing sequence of two sashes of windows, doors or the like which can be closed by means of a door closer, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a device has become known from DE-A-33 36 739. If the door or window sash, which is the normal case, is provided with rebates, one wing must always be closed in front of the other so that the rebates interlock or the second door is closed at all by the fold of the first door without hindrance can. Often, in normal cases with two-leaf doors of this type, one door leaf is kept closed, which is why it is called a passive leaf, while the other door leaf is constantly open and closed or held for a while in an open position. It is called the active wing.
  • Both door leaves are equipped with a door closer of a known type, which, if they have not been determined, turns them back into the closed position immediately after their release.
  • a locking device In the case of a locking device, this must be released manually or automatically before closing so that the door closer can take over its locking function.
  • a locking device can be automatically released in the event of a fire by an appropriate monitoring device. In this case in particular, it must then be ensured that the closing sequence of the two doors is strictly adhered to, because otherwise the doors cannot be closed completely.
  • Door closer is understood here in the usual way to be a device which basically loads the leaf in the closing direction of rotation and the force of which can have an effect if no other forces or holding forces act on the opened or partially opened leaf and the wing has not been locked.
  • Such door closers can be located both at the top and at the bottom of the door.
  • a device for controlling the closing sequence also referred to as a closing sequence controller for short, not only has to close the doors securely in a predetermined order, but also certain requirements are imposed on it aesthetically. In addition, it should be protected against damage, in particular against willful damage. It is also important that the closing sequence controller is as reliable as possible, especially when it comes to fire or smoke protection doors.
  • a sliding member is arranged in a guide rail parallel to the frame via a slider coupled to it by pivoting the passive leaf, which has different height gradations at one end, through which a locking member during the longitudinal displacement of the Push member is raised or lowered.
  • the passive leaf In the closed position of the passive leaf, the sliding member is pushed so far towards the active leaf that the locking element is held in its highest position and the active leaf can be opened and closed freely.
  • the Locking member is shifted downward and engages in a saw toothing of a bolt connected to the active wing swivel arm.
  • the sliding member of the known device is continuously coupled to the slider of the passive leaf, the active leaf is secured in any position by the engagement of the locking member in the saw teeth and can only be moved by skipping the teeth.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to avoid the disadvantages of the previously known closing sequence controller and to develop a device of the type described at the outset in such a way that operational reliability is increased.
  • this device should be robust, inexpensive to manufacture and easy to assemble, with both the active leaf and the passive leaf being able to be operated essentially independently of the locking device for closing sequence control, essentially in the range of motion.
  • the device is designed according to the preamble of claim 1 in accordance with the characterizing part of this claim.
  • An embodiment of this device is used in connection with door closers which have a pivotable sliding arm and which are fastened to the door in the case of an overhead door closer.
  • the sliding arm of the door closer is moved along the fixed frame, normally carrying a guide roller or the like at its free end, which is moved along the upper horizontal bar in an overhead door closer when the door is opened or closed.
  • the guide roller is preferably guided in a corresponding rail which is mounted on the crossbar of the fixed frame.
  • a corresponding sliding element can also take the place of a guide roller.
  • the horizontal movement of the guide roller or the like. Along the cross member of the fixed frame when opening the door and the movement in the opposite direction when closing the door is used to control the closing sequence. If it is assumed that the active leaf is to be opened as the first and the passive leaf as the second leaf, then the active leaf can also be easily opened and closed in a known manner when this control device is installed. However, if you open the passive leaf when the active leaf is open or at least partially open, whereby the active leaf must be open at least so far that the folds of the two leaves come past each other, then opening the passive leaf causes a corresponding displacement movement of the guide roller of its door closer against the axis of rotation of the passive leaf there. Of course, the guide roller of the active leaf moves towards the axis of rotation of the active leaf during its opening movement.
  • the guide roller of the passive leaf causes an adjustment movement of the locking member from the ineffective into a locking position during its opening movement. This is determined so that when the active leaf is closed, before the closing or at least before the passive leaf is completely closed, the active leaf is stopped in an open position, which enables the passive leaf to be closed completely without hindrance from the folds.
  • the guide role of its door closer also returns to the starting position. At the end of the return movement of this guide roller, it moves the locking part against the resistance of its load spring in the unlocking direction. This then releases the sliding member, which can return to its starting position due to the restoring spring acting on it. This return movement of the sliding member automatically returns the locking member to its ineffective position. This eliminates the obstacle for the guide role of the door closer on the active leaf and therefore this door closer can completely close the active leaf.
  • the locking device consisting of the locking element of the sliding member and the frame part fixed but spring-loaded and displaceable locking part blocks the return movement of the sliding member until it is triggered, which is why it forms a locking locking device.
  • the control lever can be mounted directly or indirectly on the sliding link.
  • the control lever is spring loaded against the guide roller. So if you swivel the control lever over the guide roller, its load spring is tensioned or tensioned more.
  • the locking member and the locking element are coupled to one another via the sliding member and are connected in terms of movement such that the pivoting movement of the control lever into a release position for the guide roller resting thereon is only released when the locking member is in its locked position.
  • the spring-loaded locking part is according to claim 1 in the Starting position of the fixed leaf guide roller held in an ineffective position, this being done in particular via the guide roller itself. It is under the effect of its load spring.
  • the loading spring presses the latching part against the latching element and thereby causes the latching.
  • the latching element is expediently designed in such a way that it can be latched in a plurality of displacement positions of the sliding member.
  • claim 1 relates in particular to a floor closer.
  • an element of the door closer is shifted in a straight line, which may in particular be the damping piston present in such door closers. Its movement can be guided, for example, via a lateral arm to a point on the housing at which the elements of the device according to the invention required for the closing sequence control of the two doors can be accommodated.
  • the side arm can carry the role mentioned in claim 1, a pin or a similar component.
  • this roller or the like performs a movement corresponding to the passive leaf guide roller or the walking wing guide roller when opening and closing the door, it is easy to see that the elements shown in the drawing can be assigned to this roller in exactly the same way, as in the illustrated embodiment of the active leaf guide roller 14 or the fixed leaf guide roller 15. As a result, the run Movements and control processes in the second alternative are the same as in the first. Of course, in the case of a floor closer, the sliding link is assigned to the floor, and it must be appropriately protected and safely accommodated therein.
  • Two doors are pivoted on a fixed frame 1. Usually only the left door is opened, which is why it is referred to as active wing 2. Because the right wing generally remains closed, it is referred to as the passive wing 3.
  • the active wing 2 is attached to the left vertical beam 5 of the fixed frame 1 by means of at least two pivot bearings 4 arranged one above the other, while the passive wing 3 is pivoted to the right vertical beam by means of pivot bearings 6 7 of the fixed frame 1 is articulated.
  • the two frames are equipped with a fold 8 or 9.
  • the folds overlap. From Fig. 2 it can easily be seen that the passive leaf 3 cannot be closed completely if the active leaf 2 is too far or is already completely closed. For this reason, the device described below ensures that the passive leaf 3 is closed in front of the active leaf 2.
  • a door closer 10 of a known type The closing of the active leaf 2 takes place via a door closer 10 of a known type.
  • a door closer 11 is also expediently used of the same design.
  • overhead door closers are used, which are designed as so-called sliding arm door closers.
  • the invention can not only be used with door closers of this type, it can also be floor door closers.
  • Sliding arm door closers as shown by the broken line in FIG. 2, are attached to door 2 or 3 and each have a sliding arm 12 or 13.
  • Each sliding arm carries a sliding roller 14 or 15 or the like at its free end. which can be seen particularly well in FIG. 10 but also in FIG. 3.
  • the partially or fully opened door can be determined in a known manner, for example by a locking device integrated in the door closer. When the partially or fully opened door is released, it closes in the direction of the arrow 18 (active leaf) or 19 (passive leaf). If, according to FIG. 2, the passive leaf 3 is opened further than the active leaf 2, the closing movement of the latter ends with the aid of the device according to the invention at the latest when the rotational position shown in FIG. 2 is reached. Then the fold 9 of the passive leaf 3 can still be moved past the fold 8.
  • the sliding rollers 14 and 15 are guided in the opening and closing of the door in a guide rail 20 and 21, which is mounted on an upper door closer on the upper cross member of the fixed frame 1, as a rule.
  • the guide rails 20, 21 are divided into two chambers 23 and 24 by means of a central wall 22.
  • the outer chamber 24 forms the longitudinal guide for the associated slide roller 14 or 15.
  • In the inner chamber 23 houses the essential elements of the closing sequence control device.
  • Essential elements of the device for controlling the closing sequence of the two leaves 2 and 3 form a locking member 25, a sliding member 26 and a latching device 27.
  • the control lever 28 is an important element.
  • the rotary member 25 has an arcuate back 29, with which it is adapted to this shape e.g. slit-shaped receptacle of a guide part 30 supports.
  • the latter is attached to the guide rail 20 at its right end (Fig. 3). Accordingly, the back 29 slides on the circular support surface 31 of the guide part 30. It is consequently a rotary member, the rotational movement of which is limited by an arcuate guide slot 32 of the locking member 25 and a guide pin 33 engaging therein. The latter is held in the guide part 30.
  • the locking member 25 carries a driving bolt 34 which extends transversely to its plane and which projects on both sides and which, in the rotational position of the locking member 25 shown in FIG. 8, is supported on a wall 35 of the sliding member 26 which extends transversely to the image plane .
  • the arcuate end 36 in the area of the driving pin 34 rests on a pressure piece 37, on which two concentrically arranged Support springs 38 and 39. They are helical compression springs. Their left ends (FIG. 9) are supported indirectly via a contact member 40 on the sliding member 26. Rotation of the locking member 25 from the locking position shown in FIG. 5 to the starting position shown in FIG. 4 causes the springs 38 and 39 to be tensioned.
  • a third spring is attached to the inner end of the pressure piece 37, which has a return spring 41 for the sliding member 26 forms. Its left end, which can be seen in FIG. 4, is suspended on a bolt 42 of the guide rail 20. If this return spring 41 pulls the sliding member 26, which is shifted to the right in FIG. 5, back into the initial position shown in FIG. 4, the wall 35 presses against the driving pin 34 and thereby causes the locking member 25 to rotate back in the direction of the arrow 43 Springs 38 and 39 with the pressure piece 37 a damping device 44.
  • the lower end 45 in FIG. 4 of the approximately crescent-shaped locking member 25 surrounds the associated sliding roller 14 of the door closer 10 with an arcuate edge 46.
  • the sliding roller 14 emerges.
  • the locking member 25 is in its locking position (FIG. 5)
  • the sliding roller 14 arriving in the direction of the arrow 47 can only be moved up to the bottom end 45. Any shock that occurs during this closing process of the active leaf is absorbed by the damping device 44.
  • the sliding roller 14 can, however, rotate the locking member 25 in the direction of arrow 43 when the sliding member 26 is released for displacement in the direction of arrow 48. This return movement of the sliding member 26 is blocked by the latching device 27 (FIG. 3) until the passive leaf 3 is closed.
  • the sliding link 26 consists at least essentially of two sliding link parts 49 and 50 arranged in an extension from one another, which are coupled via a preferably length-adjustable intermediate link 51.
  • the sliding link part 49 is assigned to the guide rail 20 and the sliding link part 50 is assigned to the guide rail 21.
  • Each of these two sliding link parts can be constructed from further individual parts, but this is not important in detail.
  • the intermediate link can be a cable pull, a connecting rod or the like.
  • a length adjustment device 52 is provided, for example, on the intermediate link 51. It can be of a known type.
  • the construction of the exemplary embodiment is quite clear, for example from FIG. 3.
  • a locking element 53 of the locking device 27 is located on the sliding link part 50 on the passive leaf side. According to FIG. It advantageously has the shape of a rack with sawtooth-like teeth.
  • the locking element 53 works together with a spring-loaded locking part 54, which in the direction of the double arrow 55 transversely to the longitudinal axis the outer chamber 24 of the guide rail 21 is slidable, in which it is located.
  • the loading spring is designated 56.
  • the locking part 54 has a tooth 57 which can enter the tooth gaps of the locking element 53. 6, however, this tooth 57 does not engage in the tooth gaps because it is prevented from doing so by the sliding roller 15.
  • the sliding link part 50 can be moved further in the direction of the arrow 58, but cannot be moved back in the opposite direction.
  • a displacement movement of the sliding member part 50 and thus of the entire sliding member 26 directed against the arrow 58 is only possible when the tooth 57 has been disengaged from the teeth of the latching element 53.
  • the latching part 54 is slidably mounted on an adjusting member 59, which can be adjusted relative to the end piece 61 with the aid of an actuator 60 consisting of a screw spindle.
  • the actuator 60 is rotatably but non-displaceably mounted in the adjusting member 59 and screwed into a thread 62 of the end piece 61.
  • the sliding link part 50 is provided with a longitudinal slot 63, in which a guide pin 64 engages and which extends in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 21.
  • a receptacle 65 for a compression spring 66 which is designed as a helical compression spring. Your left end is against the blind hole of the receptacle 65, while its right end, in particular with the interposition of a pressure member 67, bears against a first lever arm 68 of the control lever 28.
  • the control lever 28 is rotatably mounted on the sliding member 50 by means of a bearing axis 69.
  • the bearing axis 69 is preferably located at the free end of the sliding link part 50 in the area of the right locking element end.
  • the compression spring 66 holds the control lever 28 when the passive leaf 3 is closed in the position shown in FIG. 6. He grips with its arcuate edge 70 the sliding roller 15.
  • the wedge-shaped projection 71 creates an outer run-up slope 72 and an inner push-off slope 73. It is easy to see that the sliding roller 15 located on the right of the wedge-shaped projection 71 when the passive leaf 3 is open is in its return movement in the direction of the arrow 74 can pivot the control lever 28 against the resistance of the compression spring 66 in the direction of the arrow 75 via the ramp 72. In the same way, the slide roller 15 can also pivot the control lever 28 in the direction of the arrow 75 in the event of a displacement movement directed against the arrow 74 via the bevel 73.
  • a parallel, in particular bolt-shaped, guide element 76 is attached to the control lever 28. It engages in a guide slot 77 which is in a plane below or above the pivoting plane of the control lever 28 can be.
  • this guide slot is provided on the guide rail 21, in particular on the bottom of the inner chamber 23. It consists of a straight, that is to say parallel to the longitudinal axis of the guide rail 21 central piece 78 and two diagonally extending, pointing towards the fixed frame 1 divergent side pieces 79 and 80 (Fig. 6).
  • the control lever 28 cannot be rotated in the direction of the arrow 75 when the guide element 76 is located in the guide slot center piece 78.
  • the parts of the device are protected in the guide rails 20, 21, so that they are normally not damaged and usually cannot be operated or overridden. Of course, this also has a correspondingly positive aesthetic effect. As already explained, functioning is ensured even in the case of unwanted and intentional incorrect operation. In the event of manipulation, damage to the parts is basically ruled out, so that the function is retained in each case.
  • the latching device is triggered, the locking member 25 is returned to its starting position by the spring 41, so that the spring force in the door closer is fully available for reaching the end position of the active leaf 2. It is therefore also possible to overcome the forces which are necessary, for example, to operate a trap.
  • the locking device is triggered regardless of the width of the door leaf. It is only necessary to adjust the length of the connection between the locking device 27 and the locking member 25.
  • the device can also be used in conjunction with floor door closers. It is essential that a longitudinal movement in the system of the floor door closer, for example on the damping piston, is used for the control.
