Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for releasably attaching a loader to a vehicle, in particular to a tractor, with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the suspension on the tractor is a hindrance and must be removed. This is necessary, for example, when the loader is dismantled in order to prepare the tractor for normal operation or to attach other attachments, such as front weights, to the tractor after the loader has been dismantled. Attaching and detaching suspensions to the tractor can be a time-consuming and arduous process.
  • DE-OS 31 51 279 has disclosed a detachable front loader that can be connected to a tractor.
  • the front loader can be supported by an attachment on assigned front and rear support elements of the vehicle frame.
  • the parking front loader with the attachment is to be brought into the attachment position.
  • the loader must obviously be lifted using suitable aids.
  • EP-A-0 273 299 discloses a tractor with a loader.
  • the loader contains a boom that can be pivoted by two cylinders and detachably fastened to the front end of the tractor by means of a front and a rear holding device.
  • the front holding device consists of two lateral bolts projecting outwards in the area of the tractor front edge and two slotted holding plates attached to upright front stands of the loader.
  • the slots in the retaining plates receive the bolts when the loader is assembled.
  • the slots have a hook-shaped course and extend essentially horizontally and are open at the rear end at the top.
  • the rear holding device consists of two rear slotted supports attached to the side of the tractor and transversely aligned bolts attached to the rear mast stand.
  • the support devices have hook-shaped, essentially horizontal slots which run upwards in the rear area and open upwards in the front area. These slots accommodate the bolts on the rear mast stand during assembly.
  • the rear mast stand is first raised and its bolt inserted into the slots.
  • the cylinders are then extended, with the front end of the loader being pivoted around the rear holding device until the slots in the front holding plates receive the bolts on the front edge of the tractor. Now the tractor is moved forward so that move the bolts to the ends of the slots.
  • the cylinders are extended again in order to bring the bolts of the rear holding device into the rear upper position of the associated slots. In this position, the rear holding device is locked.
  • the assembly and disassembly of the loader therefore require a number of different work steps and a corresponding amount of time.
  • the object to be achieved with the invention is seen in providing a device for releasably attaching a loader to a vehicle of the type mentioned at the outset, which allows the loader to be mounted and dismantled easily and quickly on the vehicle.
  • the problems described in known devices are to be overcome.
  • the device is intended to enable a reliable and firm connection between the vehicle frame and the loader. Separate fasteners such as screws or bolts should not be necessary.
  • trough-shaped support structure which is open at an angle to the front and upward on the vehicle frame and is suitable for receiving a support element fastened to the rear lower loader mast area in such a way that that the mast can be pivoted relative to the vehicle frame.
  • Hydraulic cylinders serve as pivoting means, which are moved together to lower the rear support element (pivot arrangement) into the rear support structure. If the pivot arrangement engages in the rear support structure, the mast is pivoted about this bearing point by moving the hydraulic cylinder further together, so that its front end lifts off the ground.
  • a cross tube attached to the lower front mast end slides into a downward opening of a support bearing screwed to the front of the vehicle.
  • a pawl pivotally attached to the front support structure swings under the cross tube and can be fixed by a locking part.
  • the locking part is adjustable via a cable pull that can be operated from the driver's seat.
  • the rear support element preferably contains an attachment part which projects beyond the pivot arrangement and interacts with a stop.
  • the stop is located in the lower area of the rear carrying device.
  • the attachment part engages the stop when the mast has reached its mounting position pivoted upwards.
  • the pivot arrangement is clamped in the trough-shaped rear support device and can no longer move out.
  • the front carrying device preferably contains means for attaching front weights, unless a front loader is mounted.
  • the attachment and detachment of the loader to the vehicle can be carried out by an operator from the vehicle cabin without having to leave the cabin.
  • the fastening device creates a close connection between the loader and the vehicle frame without Screws or other fasteners would be required. It automatically connects the loader mast to the vehicle frame when the mast is swiveled upwards into its mounting position.
  • the vehicle does not need to be moved during assembly, nor is it necessary to move the loader over an area of the vehicle frame or the support structure.
  • the support device does not need to be removed from the vehicle after dismantling the loader, since it does not interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle.
  • the front mounting assembly can remain on the vehicle after disassembly of the loader. It can be mounted on your front weights.
  • a tractor 10 which has a main frame 12 which is supported on front and rear wheels 14 and 16, which serve to move over the ground.
  • the tractor 10 contains a cabin 18.
  • the tractor frame 12 carries a front loader 20 through bilateral rear support devices 22, which are attached to the sides of the frame 12, and through a front support device 24.
  • the loader 20 contains a mast 30, which has an upright rear mast stand 32 with forward mast arms 34.
  • the mast arms 34 are rigidly connected to the stands 32 in the vicinity of the central region thereof.
  • a boom 40 is articulated at 42 to the upper ends of the mast stand 32.
  • the boom 40 extends from the articulation point 42 downward toward the front to a bucket receiving end 44 which carries a conventional loader bucket 46 or other attachments which can be fastened to the boom 40.
  • boom actuating cylinders 48 are fastened.
  • the cylinders 48 can be extended and retracted by a conventional hydraulic circuit, not shown, which can be connected to the hydraulic system of the tractor, in order to pivot the boom 40 up and down about the articulation point 42 and around the mast 30 during assembly and disassembly to rotate about the axis of the support devices 22.
  • Each of the rear supports 22 includes a suspension 52 (FIG. 8) which is connected to the frame 12 by screws 54.
  • a horizontal support frame 56 is welded to the suspension 52 and carries a trough-shaped support structure which is open at the top and at the front and which is designated as a whole by the reference number 58.
  • the support structure 58 contains two parallel sheets welded to the horizontal support frame 56, which stand upright and have cutouts and which are connected to one another by a rear wall 66 and a front wall 68. As can be seen from FIG. 8, the cutouts in the sheets 62 and 64 are open at the top and at the front and narrow downward. End shields 72 and 74 are attached to the upper and lower surfaces of the recesses, adjacent to the lower region of the recesses.
  • a locking block 78 is between the front ends of the sheets 62 and 64 and adjacent to the recesses attached with a screw 82 which extends through the wall 68 and is screwed into the locking block 78. If necessary, spacer plates 84 are inserted between the locking block 78 and the wall 68 in order to adjust the longitudinal orientation of the locking block 78.
  • Funnel-shaped metal sheets 92 and 94 are welded to the metal sheets 62 and 64 and protrude from the outside thereof. The funnel-shaped sheets 92 and 94 serve as a guide for the lower end of the mast stand 32 during its assembly, which will be explained in more detail.
  • each mast stand 32 includes a pivot assembly 102 which is preferably in the form of a circular shaft which extends through and is welded to the opposite side walls of the mast stand.
  • a clamping stop or extension 106 is welded to the lower region of the pivot arrangement 102 between the side walls of the mast stand 32 and protrudes downward over the side walls of the mast stand 32.
  • the extension part 106 is aligned essentially parallel to the rear wall of the mast stand 32 lying between the side walls. It can be seen from FIGS.
  • the clamping stop 106 rotates forward until it rests on the blocking block 78 (FIG. 11).
  • the clamping stop 106 is pressed against the blocking block 78, the pivot arrangement 102 being firmly clamped between the end shields 72 and 74 and the lower end of the mast stand 32 being prevented from moving further forward.
  • the support structure 58 thus prevents movement of the lower end of the mast stand 32 backwards, upwards and to the side and provides a very tight fit between the mast 30 and the tractor frame 12.
  • spacer plates can be used 84 may be added or removed to ensure that the lower portion of the mast stand 32 is held firmly in the rear bracket 22.
  • the front support device 24 (FIGS. 3 to 7) contains an inverted support arrangement 114 which is screwed to the front end of the tractor frame 12.
  • a transverse round cross tube 116 is connected to the mast arms 34 via supporting parts 118, 120 between the lower, front ends thereof (FIG. 4).
  • the cross tube 116 moves on an arc, the center of which is the axis of the pivot assembly 102 until it is received by the support assembly 114.
  • a locking arrangement which can be actuated by pull cable 188 and which is identified overall by the reference symbol 122 is activated in order to hold the cross tube 116 in the support arrangement 114, after which the loader 20 is ready for operation.
  • the front support device 24 is connected to the foremost part of the frame 12 by screws 126 which extend through a rear plate 128.
  • Transversely spaced side panels 132, 134 extend forward from the outermost edge of the rear panel 128 and are recessed at 136 and 138, or are trough open, to accommodate the cross tube 116 as it moves on the arc.
  • the lower area of the openings 136, 138 widens downward in order to introduce the cross tube 116 into the upper areas of the cutouts 136, 138, which basically have the shape of the tube 116.
  • a front plate 142 is welded to the front edges of the side plates 132, 134 and the front edges of an upper plate 144, which essentially closes the support arrangement 114 from above.
  • locking parts 146, 148 are rotatably fastened, the axes of rotation 152, 154 of which in each case lie near the upper ends of the locking parts 146, 148.
  • the locking parts 146, 148 are essentially C-shaped and can lie between an open position (FIG. 6) and a locked position (FIG. 5), in which the locking parts 146, 148 close around the cross tube 116, provided that the latter is closed located in the recesses 136, 138 are pivoted.
  • the lower region of the C-shaped locking parts 146, 148 extends under the tube 116.
  • the weight of the locking parts 146, 148 basically presses them into their closed position about their axis of rotation 152, 154.
  • the lower, forward-facing end faces, which are provided with the reference numerals 162, 164, are angled such that when the cross tube 116 is inserted into the support arrangement 114, the cross tube 116 presses the locking parts 146, 148 into their open position.
  • the locking parts 146, 148 swing back into their closed position.
  • the latch assembly 122 includes a transversely extending latch abutment 172 which is slidably disposed near the rear panel 128 and is vertically movable by a vertical bolt or screw 174 screwed into the central region of the abutment 172. If the locking abutment 172 is in its lower locking position, its front side rests on the rear side of the locking parts 146, 148 and thus prevents the locking parts from moving out of their locking position. In order to unlock the locking parts 146, 148 from their position clasping the cross tube 116, the abutment 172 is raised (FIGS. 6 and 7), so that the locking parts 146, 148 can be pivoted backwards into their open position and the cross tube 116 out of the position Support arrangement 24 released.
  • the bolt 174 includes an eye 178 at the upper end which is pivotally connected to one end of a lever 182.
  • the opposite end of the lever 182 is non-rotatably connected to one end of a second lever 184 and is mounted on a joint 186 which is supported by a vertical plate 187.
  • the other end of the second lever 184 is pivotally connected to one end of a push-pull cable 188 or other mechanical linkage which is connected to a control handle or other handle 192 (FIG. 1) located in the tractor cabin 18.
  • a pressure exerted on the cable 188 rotates the levers 182 and 184 counterclockwise as shown in FIG. 7 and pushes the locking abutment 172 down into the locking position.
  • the levers 182 and 184 are rotated clockwise and raise the locking abutment 172 to its unlocked position (FIG. 6).
  • the abutment 172 slides over vertical guide parts 196, which guide the abutment 172 exactly in the longitudinal direction and provide stable support for the abutment 172 when they hold the locking parts 146, 148 in the locking position according to FIG. 5.
  • a protective shield 202 is screwed tightly over the locking device 122 in order to protect the arrangement against contamination.
  • the outer dimensions of the support arrangement 114 are adapted to the recess of a conventional tractor front weight 206 (FIG. 5) in such a way that the arrangement 114 at the front end of the tractor 10 can serve as a front weight carrier when the loader 20 has been removed.
  • a rail 208 with a circular cross-section is welded across the front upper edge of assembly 114 to receive the corresponding groove in the front weights.
  • a U-shaped bracket 212 (FIG. 4) is bolted to the lower ends of the support members 118 and 120 and supports the loader 20 above the ground when the loader 20 has been removed from the tractor 10.
  • the loader 20 can be stored in an erected position, as shown in FIG. 2. However, cylinders 48 may also be contracted so that loader 20 is stored in a collapsed position.
  • the tractor 10 In order to mount the loader 20, the tractor 10 is moved between the mast arms 34, which according to FIG. 2 are in their erected position, until the tubes 102 of the pivot arrangement assume a position above the corresponding rear support devices 22.
  • the hydraulic lines of the loader are connected to those of the tractor and the boom cylinders 48 are extended so that the tubes 102 are lowered onto the support structures 58 and inserted from the funnel-shaped plates 92, 94.
  • the loader 20 rests on the support 212 and can be tilted around it. But when, As shown in FIG. 10, the tubes 102 attached to the lower end of the mast stands 32 are inserted into the rear supports 22, the tubes 102 form the fulcrum for the loader assembly.
  • the mast arms 34 are pivoted about the tubes 102, whereby the front end of the mast arms 34 is raised until the cross tube 116 engages and is supported on the front support arrangement 114 (FIG. 5).
  • the cross tube 116 engages in the support arrangement 114 the locking parts 146 and 148 are pivoted out of the insertion path (the locking abutment 172 can be released beforehand by pulling the control handle 192 in the cabin 18).
  • each clamping stop 106 which extend downward from each tube 102, move out a first position, in which the entry of the lower region of the mast stands 32 into the support structures 58 is facilitated, into a second stop position, which is shown in FIG. 11.
  • each clamping stop 106 lies closely against the associated blocking block 78, which prevents the lower ends of the mast stands 32 from moving in the forward direction.
  • the support structures 58 hold back the lower parts of the mast stand 32 in the direction now taken.
  • the arrangement of the locking blocks 78 and clamping stops 106 ensures that a substantial part of the load is taken up by areas of the support structures 58 other than that of the stops 78 and 106.
  • the stop arrangement described also requires that the mast stand 32 must be turned almost into its upright assembly position (FIG. 11) before the mast arrangement is fixed in the support structures. This arrangement facilitates easy insertion of the lower portion of the mast stands into the support structures during assembly and easy removal of the lower ends of the mast stands from the support structures 58 during disassembly. It can be seen that in the arrangement described, apart from attaching and detaching the hydraulic hoses, the whole assembly and disassembly can be carried out from the driver's seat. No separate tools or aids are required for this.
  • Cross tube 106 moves in an arc around tubes 102 directly into or out of front support assembly 114 without the loader having to be pulled over the tractor frame or attachment assembly.
  • the tractor also does not need to be moved forwards or backwards during assembly or disassembly of the loader.
  • the front support device 24 does not need to be removed from the tractor when the loader is dismantled and front weights are to be installed.
