Abstract

Un procédé et/ou un dispositif servent à programmer des appareils vidéo personnels, notamment des magnétoscopes, avec des données requises pour la réception et/ou l'enregistrement d'émissions voulues. Les données requises peuvent être tirées de tableaux transmis par des signaux de télétexte (tableaux de télétexte) et contenant des indications sur des émissions, puis enregistrées dans une mémoire (mémoire de programmation) de l'appareil vidéo personnel. La correspondance entre le tableau de télétexte sélectionné et une norme prédéterminée de transmission de données de programmation à l'appareil vidéo personnel (norme VPV) est automatiquement vérifiée. Dans des cas où il n'y a pas de correspondance, les données requises (source du programme, date d'émission, heure de commencement, heure VPS et/ou heure d'arrêt) sont automatiquement tirées, autant que possible, du tableau sélectionné de télétexte, en réponse à une commande spéciale (''programmer''), l'utilisateur est éventuellement prié de fournir les données requises manquantes et les données requises sont transférées à la mémoire de programmation, selon un procédé similaire au procédé de transmission de télécommandes appliqué habituellement dans le cas d'appareils vidéo personnels à télécommande. Il devient ainsi facile pour l'utilisateur de programmer son appareil vidéo personnel même lorsqu'il doit utiliser des tableaux de télétexte ne correspondant pas à la norme VPV mentionnée.
